I'm buying a Wireless Adapter tomorrow so I don't have to freaking move my console anymore when I wanna play on LIVE. I found out how to make my stupid router work with it.

I spent a lot of money buying cords to reach my wired router. I had to get 75 ft. of the cables.

A networking person I know said the longer you go with the cords, the slower the connection. Better to go with the wireless than with wired in that instance.

And the miles of cords that it took for the phone company to reach my house doesn't affect it?

From device/computer to router. Not router to modem to internet service. Those connections are generally top speed if you're using cable/DSL. But the connection between router and device is generally less if you're using too long cords, and as fast as it may be (Even CAT6), it doesn't compare to wireless connectivity. At all. Unless your devices are like, 20 or less feet apart.

Are you certain about that? I seem to remember reading that wired connections are actually faster.

If they're short. If they're long, like the distance between my upstairs 360 and my downstairs router (which is quite a distance), it would be slower than wireless. It's more dedicated to have wired since you'd have less disconnects, but wireless is faster in that respect.

OK. That makes sense.
