Unless I'm mistaken, you have to walk at least 10,000 steps in one day before you can encounter any Pikachus with Fly.

well, it looks pretty underleveld to me...( I cant talk, actually. I scraped the elite four with just two over 40s one of which was lugia. everyone else was 30s). And I think you should actually try doing something with skarmory but idk. just leave to the team builders when they get here ¬_¬

I beat the Elite Four for the first time today. Pretty easy in the end; although it's not exactly going to be difficult with a Choice Specs Lugia, 6 Full-Restores, 1 Max Potion, 1 Revive and 2 Max Revives...
My team if anyone cares (levels shown are starting levels):
Graveler lvl 31 - Rock Smash, Strength (yeah HM slave really), Magnitude, Rock Throw (pretty useless aside of taking a few hits from Lance's Charizard)
Skarmory lvl 37 - Fly, Agility, Spikes, Steel Wing (not as useful as I had hoped it would be..doesn't stop me from loving Skarmory though)
Meganium lvl 38 - Petal Dance, Synthesis, Magical Leaf (for nasty Double Teamers - replaced with Light Screen when reached lvl 40), Reflect
Ampharos lvl 39 - Charge, Discharge, Tackle (I am not kidding - Ampharos' coverage stinks and I am never ever going to use Focus Blast), Thunder Wave (instrumental in taking out Lance's lvl 50 Dragonite - what a bitch that was)
Lugia lvl 45 (with Choice Specs! ouch) - Extrasensory, Hydro Pump, Surf (just in case I needed more than 5 uses of a Water move - didn't), Aeroblast

I want to get to Pewter City, but I can't g through Digletts cave because Snorlax is blocking my way. I cant get through by the victory road path because that road is currently blocked. And I can't go from that other town (forgot its name) because the route is one-way. And I can't surf round to Cinnabar island and back to Pallet town because they've blocked off the beach.
WHATDOIDOO??
Anyway, besides that my team is getting good. I'm thinking of trading in most of my fave PKMN from Pearl, because I want to make HG my main game i use for battling with friends/trading etc.

From Saffron, you can either go north to Cerulean, then right and down through Rock Tunnel. That will bring you straight to Lavender Town.
Alternatively, from Celadon City, you can take the cycling route down to Fuschia, then go right and up through a long winding bridge over the water. You'll have to fight a lot more trainers this way, but it's good experience.
I haven't tried this route until waking up Snorlax, but from Saffron, go directly right. Again, some trainers to fight. Might be the easiest one as well.
Anyway, once you get to Lavender Town, you need to get something to wake up the Snorlax in front of Diglett's Cave. To do that, go into Lavender's Radio Tower and talk to people there. You should get access to a radio station which plays Pokeflute music. If you can't get it, you might have to repair the Power Plant near Rock Tunnel's northenmost entrance. Once you get the Pokeflute channel, go to the Snorlax, stand next to it, and turn on the radio and switch to that channel. It will wake up the Snorlax, who will immediately fight you. You can fight it or capture it; the heavy balls from the black apricorns you got Kurt to make will make catching Snorlax a breeze.
To get to Cinnabar Island, you have to wait until you get to Pewter City and go directly south. You have to access it from Pallet Town instead of Fuschia this time. It's also the only way to get to Seafoam Islands as well until you get all 16 badges.

Skarmory's a good candidate for the Roost TM in-game. You get it at the first gym. Feint's pretty useless, the protect-every-second turn strategy exists, but it's not like you hit it often. I've never seen the point of Agility on Skarmory, except if it Whirlwinds too or something, but it could possibly work with Roost. Steel Wing's pretty nice in-game, it learns it at level whatever [34? ]. Very useful when Fly is a 2-turn move which can be annoying. Stealth Rock or Toxic isn't a bad filler move.
Metal Sound isn't so good unless you mean to switch in a special attacker right after, since it lowers sp def. I don't know why Skarmory can't learn Screech, it makes more sense.

Moves are inherited from the male only, species from the female. I don't know if special moves like that are inherited though, probably not. I bet it checks the list of in-game legal moves for species, and you can't use a Fly TM on Pikachu in-game, right? Unless the special Pikachus are some weird Forme.

My favourite double team is my Crobat and Ampharos. On the first turn, i get my Croat to use fly, and my Ampharos Discharge. Crobat flies up and avoids the discharge, then the discharge gets the opponents health fairly low. Then on the next turn, i get my ampharos to attack the oppositte one to my Crobat is going to, KO'ig them both.
So many double battles have been used like this.

I'm fairly happy with the rest of my team: Vaporeon, Lapras, Golem, Lugia (the only legendary I'll ever use because I love him to death), and Ampharos. I should be shot, though, because I named Vaporeon Machi and Lapras Lamiroir. Sending them out in a double battle is fun! *bricked*

Jynx has a high SpAtt stat and a low Physical Att stat. You've given it all physical moves except for Ring Out...
Definitely give it Ice Beam instead of Ice Punch or Blizzard if you're keeping Hail. Its signature move, Lovely Kiss, actually isn't so bad... maybe w/ Dream Eater. There's a move relearner...

I'd say Cyndaquil since grass and water types are all over the place compared to fire types, and Cyndaquil's especially good against three of the Johto gym leaders. It's mostly personal preference, though.

I also agree, Cyndaquil is a good starter to pick. His fire-type moves really help on gym leaders, and his S.ATK and Speed are pretty good.

It's got Bug Buzz, Air Slash, Ancientpower, and U-Turn. I don't know...should I replace U-Turn with Supersonic? Or Double Team?
