Back in my day, we only had 151 pokemon in our games. And when new ones were shown in Pokemon the First Movie, kids nearly blew up the theater just from their excitment alone.

Looks familiar doesn't he? Bikutini was one of the Pokemon illegally leaked by Pokebeach.
The Isshu regional Pokedex lists it as #000, which is basically saying this is Missingno. There's also going to be an event for an item called the Liberty Ticket which will let you get this little guy.
Now I'm not one to judge, but I honestly don't think this is any good to be a legendary, as a Pokemon itself, it's just fine, but not as a legendary. Especially not as the Generation 5 equivalent of Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Manaphy, and Shaymin.

Well, I have only ever played Diamond, being part of the youth that is killing the earth. I never bought any of the spin offs, and my only knowledge of Generations 1 and 2 are through video walkthroughs. However, I have decided to get back into the series because this game here looks pretty promising and good.
I've been keeping up with the updates so far. I actually like all the designs. None of them have looked like they are proving any downfall of the series. I like Wargle. He reminds me of Fearow, except an eagle. I'm totally picking Tsutaja, btw.

The Victory Pokemon is okay I guess. Better looking than Jirachi anyway, and it doesn't really matter as it's not like you ever/have to use the 'cute' legends. It'll probably get another Forme in the 3rd game anyway.But it looks like a Digimon. I'm more pleased Luvdisc is getting an evo, there's something that needed it. Maybe there's still hope for Farfetch'd and Qwilfish. I quite like the Tusk Dragon also, obviously this gen's Salamence/Garchomp/Dragonite, and it and its suspected evo are far more visually appealing than Garchomp or Dragonite.

If this is true, then I guess this will be like a new "gen 1". No pokeymanz from other gens. This game will have all of the pokemon of the gen 5. I haven't seen any pokemon from other gen in the screenshots. There's even a new zubat.

Also, it'd be awesome if it was a brand new gen completely, though we already know you can bring in old pokémon. Remember that you have to trade the 13th movie event legendary dogs to get ZoROOOOOOOAAAAARRRRRK.

And I'm pretty sure GameFreak can't resist adding one or two evolutions from previous generations. Even then, this theory of a "reinvention" of Pokémon is troubling... It could turn out greatly, or it could just turn Pokémon into a huge Digimon ripoff. Let's hope not, but some of the 5th Gen Pokémon look a lot like Digimons, and most of the rest are uninspired designs. Still, I couldn't care less for design, so I'm still looking forward to B/W.

I think the 'reinvention' would only be as much as RS. There were new PKMN dominating much of the game, but a few old ones, largely in the safari zone. Or at least, more focus on 'new' then in the old GS the sequel to RGB. But unlike RS we know old PKMN can come into the game. I bet most of the old PKMN are via this 'dream world' thing.
Some do look more like Digimon but as well as possibly trying to tap that market, they have new char designers coming in each gen so that means new art styles.
Or maybe you meant in terms of the games themselves being a Digimon ripoff? I don't know much about Digimon to comment.
Also, I have high hopes for the baby eagle, Wargle has to evolve from something...
