I also have S rank in all songs on Hard Rock except FOUR. FOUR. ARGH.
Survivor, JJF, I was Born to Love You (harder than it seems), and The Anthem. arrrgh.
I'm actually...aiming for JJF next. I actually feel like I could do it. I've already gotten an A-Perfect, so why not an S?
The Anthem though....kills me, because...I can get a perfect, on track for an S, and then....THE LAST SPINNER...I always fail. The only time I didn't was one I had previously gotten an X on, and so I got an A. :<
it's so aggravating because I don't miss until the very last beat. agggh XD

Let's Dance.... The first time I tried it on Cruisin I lost after 5 sec and was like "What kind of beat is THAT!"... I hate this song very much... but first, I absolutely can't wait until the store call me because I ordered a copy... I had to play on my gf's copy of the game and that's pretty much what sold the game for me... I WANT IT, RIGHT NAOw! *waits patiently by the phone*

They hate the beat you have to play, not the song itself.
I don't see how Let's Dance is so hard on Sweatin'. Beat it in 3 tries, all Os.

Some people complain that the beat's totally off too, but I don't see that as much...
I think it's also a thing with getting used to the song...after I did, it became easier, and now I actually love playing it, and it was one of the first songs I S-ranked.
Another strategy I find useful: go look up all-300 YouTube videos. Even if it's Hard Rock, it's still all the same beats in all the same places. By hearing what it's supposed to sound like, you can play it easier.

Yes,it's very addictive and you'll have hours of fun just completeing the levels one by one. I must say this game has changed how I feel about my taste in music.

I always thought the transition from Ouendan to EBA was horrendous, for whatever reason it made me go through an insane withdrawal
Eventually I got through it but there were still songs I hated playing... Highway Star in particular was like pulling teeth.

Oh man, no. Ouendan -> EBA improved SO much on the series it isn't even funny.
Ouendan 2 continued to improve, with a much better soundtrack than the first OTO.
EBA 2 should be the best yet! ...if they ever come out with it :(

One More Time: Favorite of mine not too fast but keeps up a good beat I wish this song was used instead of Do You Believe in EBA.
Digital Love: I really want this song in EBA2! I can see the premise a guy meets a girl he likes in a chat room they plan to meet and go on a date he wants to make a really good impression on her. Think of the manga Train-Man and you get the basic idea.
Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger!: This is one song that is really hard to follow beat wise a bit hard to get the hang of in Crusin and gets brutal as you up the ranks I hate to imagine all the beats you have to hit in Hard Rock mode!
Face To Face: Another good one I can't think of a good plot for this maybe the world finds out about the EBA and the rival band is revealed to be an alien band kidnapped from another planet by the Rombulans (even though they hate music) and used to brainwash the entire human race. If you score to low the public refuses to help them get home.
Too Long: A follow up to Face to Face the alien band is now on the way home and are having doubts about playing music again unfortuantely the Rombulans aren't planning on them escaping and pursues them. If you don't do well the band gets recaptured and brainwashed again. Do well and the band gains the confidence to play music again the whole thing ends with a rock concert and a statue of the EBA agents that helped them out.
I always thought that the video Too Long from Interstella 5555 would make a great EBA mission.
