Useless information time!

Don't know if this has already been mentioned, but each of the different brands used in the game (besides Gatito, no clue what that means) corresponds to one of the animals of the Chinese Zodiac.

Mus Rattus - Rat (Rattus is Latin for rat)
D+B - Ox (D+B stands for Dancing Buffalo or something...)
Tigre Punks - Tiger (obviously)
Lapin Angelique - Rabbit (Lapin is French for rabbit)
Dragon Couture - Dragon (duh)
Hip Snake - Snake (see above)
Pegaso - Horse (Pegasus, flying horse, etc.)
Sheep Heavenly - Sheep
Jupiter of the Monkey - Monkey
Pavo Real - Rooster (Pavo is Latin for peacock, close enough)
Natural Puppy - Dog
Wild Boar - Pig

LOL. This woulda been good info while I played the last day of week 2.

How exactly?

Spoiler: Day 7 Week 2
The first floor, my pins were totally powerless, so I had to fight the noise at Pork City with Joshua alone. The second floor, I think the brand is chosen at random. Mine was D+B. You could tell if you hit start on your DS or touched the phone and it would say that only one certain brand of pins/clothing seems to have an effect. What I did notice is that unbranded pins work as well, which was awesome.

Oh, wait, on the first floor was I supposed to use Wild Boar pins?

@Kristophlover; No. It's Mus Rattus and D+B for first and second floor's respectively.

Spoiler:
Earlier that day, a red reaper told you to equip 2 animals as pins. I know it was 2 of the zodiac animals but I forget which 2. I didnt think much of it at all. Shame on me. But if you had those corresponding brands you probably would have had those specific pins to your use on the 2 floors. So when I got there, I only could erase the noise with Joshua as well..

Ah. Well I'm already past that point, so that's good to know for the second playthrough!

Yea, I remember that one reaper battle right before Cat Street where the reaper said he'd pick the pins and that I'd really scream...

Spoiler: ^^
I didn't think I'd have to scream into the DS's mic. I thought it was because the battle would be so tough... I fought that with Josh only as well. Luckily I had saved right before it just in case it took awhile and I needed to give up for a bit.

Oh, and most importantly, does anyone else's screen glitch up when they play this game? It's very similar to something like Missingno from Pokémon would do to your screen, and ack the whole thing is turning white.

If that only happens where you are, it's supposed to do that. Otherwise, something would be wrong with either your game or your DS. But this is exactly how that fight is supposed to be.

Woah, ok. I was so freaked out, lol. I was so worried...

Spoiler: That battle
When my pins were stolen I got freaked too.. I thought they just disappeared...

Oh, and I'm still a little confused since I'm just stupid.

Spoiler: The ending, major spoilers
Do I have this straight? So I understand Joshua was the composer... (I was totally all wtf.)

and as far as Neku's death goes - Pi-face was trying to kill Joshua, but he missed, so Pi-face went back to the UG. I think he was the one who said "I blew it", right? Joshua killed Neku in Udagawa to create a player for himself in the game. But then what was Mr. H's role? How exactly did he get into this? Did he learn everything from Joshua? Was he simply just a friend?

Get the Secret Reports. They explain some stuff, including what role Mr. H played in everything. (I don't have them all yet, but I have most of them, so I know most of what they tell you.)

As for the identity of the composer... I'm ashamed to say I didn't see it coming at all. :sadshoe: I knew it wasn't Mr. H. I thought it was too obvious.
I didn't really know what to expect when I finished the game, so I was shocked when it turned out it was Joshua.

I've got to get those last few Special Reports. (However, I lost my stylus and have to get a new one first. :zenitora: I think my cat took it. And knowing him, he ate it.)

Spoiler:
Actually, I think Pi-face hit Joshua but it went through him or didn't hurt him or something because he's the Composer.

Get the secret reports, they explain some stuff more.

I guessed that Joshua was the Composer, I had gotten stuck on the last boss, so I had more time, and he did show up again (though the fact that he appeared again might have been spoiled by a walkthrough)

Spoiler: actually...
He used his sweetholyjeebuspowahs to halt the bullets.

I think major hints would be that Joshua is the only one who can apparently summon inanimate objects out of thin air to attack and can stay in mid-air for as long as he wants to compared to everyone else who has to attack with some sort of physical force and can only jump. That and the "ability to see the UG" bit.

That's right.. I had completely forgotten about that. (When you just said sweetholyjeebuspowahs, I lol'd.)

Haha well...

Spoiler: ending/secret reports
The only thing I really saw coming way before chapter 3 was that Beat and Rhyme were brother and sister. But it's quite obvious that they have to leave hints along the way so the whole story fits together... I love how they give you everything a little bit at a time. Right after I beat Shades, and everything really started getting messed up was definately my favourite part of the game. I thought it was interesting on how they gave Shades a timer too. As far as the secret reports go, they're prolly something I'll have to go out of my way to find, right? I tried playing Day 1 again where Neku meets Shiki and I played it exactly like my first runthrough, so I'm gonna have to do it again. >.< And just a general question, is it worth playing through again for the secret reports? Do they reveal a ton of information? (And is that what gives you this 'secret ending' that's on Youtube? I only saw the title of the video, I didn't watch it because I didn't want to be spoiled.) I'd like a yes or no to those questions, nothing more.

Spoiler: Mr. H
So what exactly was Mr. H's role in everything? For some reason, he doesn't quite fit... is that explained in the secret reports? (yes or no please!)

To get the secret reports do the little missions that chapter mode gives for each day. Do all the missions for a day and you get that day's report.

I think you get the secret ending by getting all the secret reports, then playing the last day and finishing it again, the ending should have an added scene to it then.

Gamestop. I called all five stores I know the location of and bought the last copy.
However, I have seen it at Wal-Mart, and if you're desperate to just play, blockbuster (surprisingly) now rents DS games.

If all else fails, buy it online.

True, but if you're not done by the due date, you can re-rent it. I dunno how many Blockbusters are like this, but mine is awesome because if you rent something for a week, you have another week past the due date to bring it back (at which point if you don't, you have to buy it for the full sale price... which I definitely would if I had that money...).

Yes, that is certainly a disadvantage if you want to take a break between finishing the main story and then going back through it.

I'm already getting close to finishing the secret reports, though, which is good because my sister wants to play and it's really awesome and surprising that she's interested in something I like. She's actually been asking when I think I'll be done! If only she could have that kind of enthusiasm for PW, which we both own...

I think the thing is for some reason the stores around here don't display certain games...for whatever reason...

Apollo Justice was not on the shelves when it was shipped around here (as with other PW games in the past) but I had to ask them directly to get it. It wasn't until a month later until they actually displayed the box art.

This happened also to TWEWY for me.

I asked them, and I noticed the lady pulling a box full of the game at the back.

And here I'm thinking, "What, the...hell.", as I've been looking everywhere assuming that it WILL be on the shelf.

Walmart online finally got it in stock...

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product. ... id=8832740

either that or just look at Gamestop.com, type in your zip code, and see what stores have it if you live in the USA. The stock is updated at 8am EST I believe so it's best if you call to see if they have it. And ask to put it on hold until you can come in so no one can buy it before you come.

Okay, I FINALLY got around to finishing the game. (Beat owns as a partner, by the way, but his fusion is practically impossible.) Planning to get the Secret Reports so I can figure out what the HELL happened at the end...
But before that I'm going to bask in the brilliance and idiocy that is Another Day. You know it's going to be strange when it starts off with a cheerful Neku, and it gets better from there...

So am I gonna have to do that twice, then? I don't want to go through that whole thing any more than I have to. @_@

You can kinda skip through the dialogue and you should be high leveled by the time you get all the reports so it shouldn't be too hard (heck just put the game on easy mode). You only have to replay the last day after you get the reports. You don't have to do the whole game again.

I know, but the last part is kinda long... but I suppose it would take less time on Easy, especially considering how well I'm doing against other stuff on Hard now.

It really doesn't take that long. You would be surprised how much you level during the post-game stuff.
