What!? Shadow Hearts 2 is a classic! :larry:

Sorry, but I couldn't stand the game. The spinning ring thingie was the only part that kept me from falling asleep over the controller. I don't know if playing the first one would have helped, but my friend lent me 2 because she said it was better anyway. Oops?

Anyway Hat, I don't know if you have a PS3, but you should check out a trailer for Heavy Rain if you have the chance, if only so you know what it is you're rejecting (It's easy to say this gen's games are crap if you don't know anything about them I suppose). It's nothing like the stuff you're trying to compare it to. I guess it's kinda like a Choose Your Own Adventure movie? May not be what you're into but at least you go into it knowing it's less of a gaming experience than it is a story, as opposed to going in hoping for a game and getting half.

Though for the record I love MGS2. But if the game/story ratio on that pissed you off you wouldn't make it through 4, lol. :edgy:

Hell if your looking for something thats less game more story go with Fahreinheit and stick with the old gen. It practically is a film.

This I figured out very swiftly after putting the game into my PS2.

But then she moved away and I didn't have the chance to give the game back, so it's still on my shelf, ugh!

The title of this topic should be "So anyone look at this topic and wonder wtf it still here?". I'm not going to say anything about the upcoming games because I know I would get chewed out.

Why bother asking if you know the answer in this case why bother posting when you know what everyone else is going to say. Also I wonder why this is here is when other topics I see look good get closed while this one full of flaming is still here.

Am I the only one excited for Ghostbusters: The Game? I mean, come on! The old cast is reunited, the game looks awesome, and it's written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis.

No your not Robbie...I love Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray, so much so I think I'll buy that Ghostbusters Manga I saw in borders next time.

That said the Ghostbusters old games ain't had a great history and I only have a Wii so....here's to hoping it's released on that too.

It is, but the Wii version, despite having multiplayer which the PS3, PC, and 360 versions lack, has stylized graphics rather than the photorealistic ones on PS3, PC, and 360. Not bad though, they're just caricature-y.

Heh Egon looks cool but I ain't got a problem against charicatury.

In fact I think it's a smart move, by attempting to mimic the realistic graphics in the PS3 and 360 versions it would probably look pretty poor and it'd just look like a failed attempt. This way it almost looks like a completely different game so it won't be compared as much.

That's not a huge achievement, sadly.

Also I think you forgot about Excitebots, which looks good as well - it's like the developers just went "oh whatever we'll just have er... bug racers, yeah, and they play poker while doing it ok".

Man I'd pay fifty bucks. Who cares about additional content. I'm playing NES Punch-Out!! for the first time now and it's amazing.

It doesn't need any extra content. I mean it could and that would be great, but as is I am a-okay.

Nothing much right now that makes me regret being a gamer right now thanks to the aforementioned Summer Slump... but Haze made me physically sick and Silent Hill Homecoming made me throw up...

You couldn't really defend yourself in any Silent Hill Games... after 4...
But really there are no real silent hill games after 3.
The series should've been a trilogy, but too off topic.
Well running away... that's TRUE survival horror. I LOVE RE4 and it can be scary... but it wasn't really survival as much of wizz bang shooty fun :yuusaku:. And I do love boss battles but they say you're weapon is a camera phone... maybe you could set up a trap then blind the bosses with the flash to activate them... That could work really well.
And I didn't say it looked good... I just said it didn't look bad.

Yeah with RE4 once you get enough money for awesome weapons such as the chicago it stops being a matter of "Agent has been sent to rescue the presidents daughter" and more of a "Newsflash: Some psychopathic mass murderer has been slaughtering villagers and religious monks in a small town in Mexico, the Government is sending in special teams to apprehend the criminal."

Also Camera phone weapons....I'm not sure, first person Horror like that scares me more (stuff like Fatal Frame *shivers*)

Most likely. George Harrison's son (Who's been working to make RB Beatles kick amazing) accidently let it slide that Harmonix heard Activisions making Hendrix edition...

There wasn't many games that caught my interest for the PS3 and the XBOX360 not enough for me to justify spending over four hundred dollars for either system.

I might decide to pick up a PS3 late in it's system cycle like I did for the PS2 in the meantime I am catching up on all the older games that I have missed first time around like Killer 7 and Geist to name a few.

If you are looking for a good horror game you might want to try picking up Forbidden Siren for the PS2 not the remake Blood Curse that was released for the PS3. Kuon is also another obscure horror game for the PS2 however I haven't gotten around to playing that one yet.

This generation seems like the perfect time to catch up on games that have been passed over in the previous era however the bad thing is that some can be hard to find and when you do they cost a lot to buy.

The Wii and the DS have a lot of games I am looking forward to one of them being Cursed Mountain!

Cursed Mountain is a survival horror game one day your brother goes missing while climbing the Himalayas and now you must scale it in order to find him but it won't be easy as the mountain is home to angry spirits and demons. In order to fend off these wraiths you must use Buddhist prayers by using the Wii remote to invoke them.

It is sort of like Fatal Frame in that you must deal with ghosts that have died however don't think that they will be the only confrontation that you must deal with on the mountain there will be psychological challenges that you have to overcome as well in addition to surviving sub zero temperatures.

The trailer gives much better imagery then I do however I don't know when Cursed Mountain will be released yet maybe sometime in December?
