But then again, it wasn't exactly a remake, per say. The PS release only had added bonuses such as cut scenes and a bit of extras but the graphics weren't really polished and nothing important was added. The second release was more of an enhanced port to the Playstation.

Seriously? I heard the Suikoden I&II for the PSP was nothing more than a carry over with very few enhancements. The Matilda border glitch was removed, a few character portraits redrawn, diagonal movement (xD). As much as I adore the series, I don't feel a compelling need to buy a PSP just so I can experience what's readily available on my PS. Well, it could just be my extreme dislike for the PSP but I kind of find it wasteful.

I think they're planning to make use of the touch screen, this time, in a far better manner than the FF III remake did. According to Kotaku; "Taking advantage of the Nintendo DS hardware, CHRONO TRIGGER makes its way onto the portable platform with all-new dual screen presentation and Touch-Screen functionality". Also, I'm seeing this remake as a positive thing. A prelude leading to Chrono Break, I hope. I mean, Squeenix has had Chrono Break under trademark for quite some time now. It's about time they actually used it.

They removed the Matilda Glitch!? Aww... that's no fun. Now I can't have level 30 characters and Humphrey-sempai at the beginning of the game anymore... T_TAs you can tell, I am a huge Humphrey Mintz fan.

Man, good times. You actually HAD to sit and find out mostly yourself how to get those endings (all 12 of em) unless you bought the strategy guide...which I didn't. Pre-internet...it was fun figuring it all out.
I heard the clock noise and my heart wouldn't thump when it did...it was like perfect. However, I am slightly afraid of this. I would have rather them remake this on console (like some of their other remakes) to perfect the game and max it out...guess I can't be too picky.
I will get it, no doubt. I just wonder what they mean by "Taking advantage of the Nintendo DS hardware" because...it all truth, why would Chrono Trigger NEED to have dual screens? Perhaps with game series like this, I am a perfectionist...because the game by itself is classic and hard to top.

I have yet to see someone NOT put this on a Top 100 "Best Games of All Time" list with a score lower than "15"... so 16-100, obvi.
It seems that the "Endings" is actually controversial... Some say 11, some say 12, some even say 13 (Such as Wikipedia)... Honestly, I think this was the first Turn-Based-Battle game I ever played... I'll always remember the epic music during the battle against "MasaMune"... it is probably my favorite song in a video game, just because of how well it fits as a "Boss Battle Theme".

Yes, I remember seeing a project called Chrono Resurrection and even saw the video they posted. I was actual really stoked. The Cease and Desist order was because I believe Square-Enix was working on a remake themselves and they didn't want another company, small or large, to take their story and remake it because it is their intellectual property still.
As for the music, probably some of the best next to Uematsu's work. Hands down.
I saw that there is a new dungeon and wireless play...which I guess is for some sort of co-op (what else could it be for?). Why would this game need something like that (the wireless part, I mean)?

Yeah I don't know what S-E was thinking with that one...
As for "PvP" battles over Wi-Fi...that seems to be a logical choice. Might not be a dream, Sir Wrestlemania, it might be a reality.

Also, I feel that Chrono Trigger DS will be in 3D and/or have even better anime sequences than in Final Fantasy Chronicles.
