I played the first two chapters of this at a friends house the other day. I enjoyed it, but I hate the fact that it makes me use a wiimote. There's no waggle, but it just feels weird compared to a Gamecube controller.

The main character's no Lloyd, but I guess it'd be lame if he were. That way, there'd be two Lloyds instead of just one Lloyd. The gameplay system is pretty much like all of the other ones, and the monster system is surprisingly fun. I love the randomly generated names the game gives the monsters. A friend of mine has a dinosaur named Lando, a blob named Strudel, and a specter named George.

Spoiler: Incredibly Obvious things
You eventually get all of the Symphonia cast in your party, but I didn't get that far. The first Symphonia character that joins you is Colette, but she leaves shortly afterwards.

Has anyone else played this game?

Spoiler tags sir, some people would rather not know anything about it for the sake of not being spoiled.

Plus there is already a Tales of thread.

I figured there wasn't one specific to this game, so I checked the first 3 pages and there wasn't. Then I posted this, checked the 4th page and there was. Oh well, if any moderator is super anal, they can just merge this with that or something.

I swear, if this doesn't get a release date in Europe in the next three months, I'm importing. I was a huge dan of ToS, I'd love to play the sequel. Even if it sucks. Luckily, I've heard that it doesn't. Is this true?

People on Gamefaqs have said it's apparently terrible. But eh, Gamefaqs is pretty much made up of idiots anyway. And yes.

Me. Want. European. Release. Date.

yeah, could anyone give impressions ? because I've heard some pretty lame stuff about the game, like the kid being a whiny brat and it being too linear and all. And generic story but eh, so was the first one and it was still fun. Is the game worth picking up?

Ehhh, Emil isn't that bad. He really isn't whiny from what I've played either. He just lets people push him around and he's pretty soft spoken. I'm sure that changes though.

The battle and monster systems are still fun. If you don't like the monster system, your party eventually fills out with actual characters. I can't really say how complex or good the story is aside from what my friend has told me. He said there were some good plot twists in the game, so take from that what you will. I'll have to agree about the game being fairly linear though. There's no world map, but there are several different endings (something like 3 I believe).

It's also shorter than most other Tales games. Tales of Symphonia takes about 40 or so hours to beat, my friend beat this game in 26 hours. Personally, I liked the amount of the game I saw/played. If you liked Tales of Symphonia a lot, you should enjoy this game quite a bit.

Okay...I am on Chapter 3.

I really, Really, Really hoped they would got rid of the world map movement...It really is not very good to me....

And from what I have read...This may be the shortest Tales game...Which makes me really sad. Why couldn't they make it much longer like putting it on two discs?....So far though I love it. Afterwards though I am going to replay the orignal. But the Side Quests...are different...A Bad different. You just go to the Katz Guild and Voila! Quests right there....And they aren't very intertaining....Most of the Cities seem smaller too....
