I hope I am not the only here playing this game!

Unless there is already a thread here...I couldn't find one.

Anyways, has anyone else played it? If so, what do you think?

It reminded me very much of Shenmue with all those quick-time events - given that, it had some of the most fun fight scenes I've played in a long while. I only wish they hadn't rushed the plot near the end - it could have been a really awesome James Patterson style mystery without all those sci-fi elements.

I recommend this game.

The part when you close the cabinet after bandaging your arms made me jump.

Spoiler:
It was so Matrix-y near the end.

OMG! Same here!

It's one of the very few games where I actually had to stand up and smash the buttons.
Spoiler:
The part where you have to save the boy underwater was intense!

Ahh yes...those infamous "sex scenes". They are not graphic as Hot Coffee Mod from GTA: San Andreas...but it's still really weird seeing polygons and lines doing the Magic Dance! :P

Though Carla and Lucas doing it? :udgy: I don't see that personally!

Spoiler:
It was a game that started out very strong story-wise. Unfortunately, when Lucas "dies", so did the story and everything else that made this game worth keeping.
Does anyone think this would've made a worthy movie for theaters?

This has to be one of the greatest games I've ever played on the PS2. I loved the story and the characters. The level of interactivity was what really made me play this game and I wasn't disappointed. Hopefully we can experience the same thing from Heavy Rain.

I enjoyed this game thoroughly, until about 2/3rds in in which things got a bit...ridiculous :P Although I do know it was because it was going to be episodic, but the later episodes got cancelled so they had to sort of stuff EVERYTHING in the end with little or no explanation. That said, I got a real kick out of it (SHIT THE KID'S GONNA DIE IS HE I DUNNO SHALL I SAVE HIM SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIT).

Even though you could see it coming a mile off, that made me jump too XD

Ladies and gentlemen, my favorite game of all time.

I actually read somewhere that the developers were intending to make it episodic, and only had about 75% of the game done. That's when Atari jumped into Quantic Dream's office and said "Hey, we're releasing the game as a retail, patch it up, you have 2 weeks". So basically, the suckage near the end isn't really the developers' fault - they just had to put everything they could think of there to make a complete game. If you ask me, the Lucas x Oracle matrix fight was originally intended to be nothing more than a bonus. There's no way something like that was in the original script.

Also - got the European version, and it's completely uncensored... ooooh yeeeeeaah....

Well I'm not looking at how old threads are, I was just browsing through the forum and found it. Not to mention, what's the problem to have a thread about this game? :sadshoe:
