I just started playing this and in a way I'm thinking "Hmmm.. I'm not sure if I like this" The story sounds interesting, and I like some of the quirky Japanese stuff with the "movies" (why arent they subtitled?) and piano music that plays when you load up the game but -
The graphics are atrocious. Extremely ugly looking and angular sprites and so on. I know graphics dont maketh a good game but jeez - I doubt these would have washed in 2001, let alone today.
The music used so far is terrible (midi versions of classical music it sounds like). And I dont like the way the characters "speak" in a sort of a garbled gibberish that is just annoying. I mean, no speech and just text would have been preferable.
I'm interested to see how the story unfolds though, I think I've only just started it. Maybe it will get better.
