YES. Just... YES.

I love this guy. He's just downright funny, and he makes good adventure games to boot.

The endings are funniest.

"Honestly, we don't need to worry about RE5 until they break out the fried chicken"
"It's a great way to keep for wife busy so she'll stop badgering you for sex."
"Bosoms, breasts, busts, milk factories, boobies, jugs, nipples, jubblies, STONKING. GREAT. TITS."
"So just shut up and play it you great douche."
"Oh well. At least there's violence and tits."
"Maybe a gentler kick in the balls, but at the end of the day, you're still walking funny."
"If you're the kind of person who needs to see a gushing neck stump before you can get it up."
"When we're all toiling in the Microsoft overmines, I want you to know that I fucking called it."
"The reason why I like to put lettuce around my cock and hide it other people's salad."
"Portal was great and if you don't think so then you must be stupid."

Why do these topics keep dying and respawning so unexpectedly? I made a ZP thread about two months ago.

Not exactly. He had a lot of criticisms for it (like most of the games he reviews) but he also had a few positive things to say. Just watch it for yourself.

He likes RPGs. He does not like many JRPGs for criticism that is pretty justified.

Not that you have a valid point, considering near the beginning of the review he states very clearly that it was because he heard it does things "differently".

Also, he makes a note that the Austrailian release date came before the American one, and, "If the release dates are from Bizarro World, maybe the game is, too!"

Hey whoa whoa hey, Zaka. He's a critic. It's his job.
I find critics hilarious because I don't take anything seriously. All my favorite fandoms, Phoenix, TWEWY, I wouldn't like them a quarter as much if I hadn't made fun of it or seen it made fun of so much. If you think HE's bad don't look at Encyclopedia Dramatica. Ever.

Spoiler: Guitar Hero III review, because it's just that awesome
"Guitar Hero and I have a history. Sometimes it's begin good and loyal friend and sometimes it's bent me over the furniture and wailed on my ass with a steak tenderizer but I take all of that with good grace since we both know that the promise of simulated rockstardom will always bewitch the unabashed fantasist that is gaming's core demographic.

It all started when I and a few colleagues were over a friend's house for completely heterosexual reasons and we broke out Guitar Hero 1 on Easy mode in celebration of our manliness and complete lack of desire to fondle scrotums. And, when reached the point when the game wasn't yelling at us for sucking so much - that is sucking at the game, not sucking each other's dicks or anything - it was a lot of fun. It's triumph was in following the philosphy that if you're going to create a game designed to humiliate the player, the least you can do is have some decent music in it. So, while we would stand up there holding our undersized, squeaky, Fisher-Price plastic guitars as we would hold a small yappy dog, we could at least close our eyes and pretend we were up on stage with Joan Jett; holding a small yappy dog.

Guitar Hero become one of the staples of our weekly manly get togethers along with lifting weights and talking about chicks and when the time came for us to move up to Medium difficulty it seemed like an impossible task. I'd gotten so used to only using the first three buttons my pinky finger was an atrophy Pork Scratching attached on the end with Prit Stick. Once again the house rang with the plunks and wails of missed notes but it never stopped being fun even when I was having to duct tape bags of frozen peas to my arms to stop them from seizing up, and when Guitar Hero II finally came out well it was obviously time for us to gird our loins, grow enormous bears, and move up to Hard difficulty. Again, it seemed like madness; having to actually move your hand up and down to hit the fifth button felt like a good way to get wanker's cramp. But, I kept playing and eventually some breakthrough was reached around the time I was jerking off some Tattoed Loveboys and everyone had a good time.

Don't believe the lie of Guitar Hero III; it's actually the fourth title in the series, the third being Rock The 80s which I haven't played but the day I fork out seventy Euros for an expansion pack is the day I swallow razorwire, pull the end out of my ass, and floss myself to death. Guitar Hero III is the hasy cash-in the publishers threw together when they left the cage door open and the old Guitar Hero developers escaped into the wild. Unecessary changes in lecturing and graphics give the game an unscrutable feeling of unease as if a stranger has just walked into your house thinly disguised as your best friend and you wonder if he intends to leave soon or murder you and cannibalize your body.

But the point that I am laboriously trying to get to is that Guitar Hero III made Guitar Hero stop being fun. Oh, it was fun for a while; rattling off the ridiculously long hammer-on sequences in Cult of Personality, like the fretboard was the crotch of a loved one and I'd only a vague idea of where her clitoris was, was challening enough to make me feel awesome for pulling it off, but then I got the last venue and the last set of songs on Hard difficulty and came to a screeching halt because they are fucking impossible. No! Stop! Do not reach for e-mail client. I do not want to hear about how you Five-Starred Blood Rain on Expert because if you did then you are a fucking freak! A freak with either three arms or a trained pet spider working the buttons for you.

But aside from erecting a massive brick wall between myself and somewhere around three songs before the end, Guitar Hero III brings couple of other things to the table. Co-op Career mode is a welcome addition despite their being no faster way to fall out with someone. Battle mode, on the other hand, is a wee-bit broken. The first time either of acquired a power-up and unleashed it it completely crippled the other player and ended the match in five seconds in a clear case of what is known as Mario Kart Syndrome. As for the whole title, perhaps "Legend of Rock", singular, would have been less misleading because the only one is Slash from Guns N' Roses. Well, there's that guy from Rage Against The Machine too but - and no offense to man - if he's a legend of rock then a grilled cheese sandwich is haut cuisine.

Everything Guitar Hero III brings to the table seems to be balanced by what it left out. For one, Co-op Career mode is nice but old Co-op Quickplay mode is out on its ear for no adequate reason. For two, there's more advertisement placement here than the last Terminator movie and about as much dignity. For three, what happened to Clive Winston? He was my favorite character. For four, what the fuck happened to Clive Winston you pricks? In his place we've got some multi-colored, giggly, J-pop...creature and you can't play classic rock with that...thing it's like cock-slapping the Mona Lisa.

Anyway, a review of Guitar Hero is always going to be abrupt because they're little more than jazzed-up color-matching casual games. It's a good thing to have at a party when everybody's drunk and gotten bored of Pictionary. The song list's got some pretty sweet stuff, some mediocre stuff as well (but has that ever been the case?). All in all, it's just not as fun as tonguing at another man's balls.

I mean as it used to be.

...

I'm not gay."

Well if you didnt care about what he thinks then why did you make a fuss over it in the first place? Besides EVERYONE will have a diffrent thought than yours on somthing, but just cause you think its awesome or great doesnt mean everyone will agree, meaning you shouldnt get upset by it, like for example, He hates Jrpgs, me? I love them, but i dont care that he doesnt cause it doenst matter even if he liked Jrpgs. So in the end, people will have diffrent tastes, dont get mad over that cause its just life man.

Zero punctuation FTW
I was 17 when I joined this forum. During this time I participated in a thread that made light of sexual assault and event making jokes about it. I didn't think much of it at the time other than portraying a villain. I am older, looking back see how unacceptable & disgusting. I removed the comments because I do not wish to condone this behaviour. But of course fragments remain. I can only apologise for any hurt of distress caused.

*Sigh* You sound just like my brother. He absolutely hated the Brawl review, and constantly calls it wrong.
I keep telling him "An opinion can't be wrong, it's an OPINION!", but he's so thick headed and stubborn about it.
I mean, I don't agree with it, I like Brawl alot, but I do recognise some valid points he had. Opinions can't be wrong, as only we can judge what we like.

Yahtzee just has a very amusing point of view. ^_^

So just that makes his review wrong?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder- when people say E.T. is crap, people agree and like it. When someone says something like brawl is crap- everyone goes apeshit and sends nasty comments.

Saying someting is crap IS an opinion. Just because people like it doesn't mean it can't be crap.

No, I was just saying there was a difference between saying you don't like a game and saying a game is crap, but as a fifteen year old who adores jumping to moronic conclusions I guess I shouldn't expect you to understand that since your world is probably still seen as black and white.

And Yahtzee never said TWEWY was crap.

There is no such thing as a game that is crap. All I was trying to say is there is no such thing as a game that is crap in the first place so calling a game 'crap' is really just another way of saying 'I don't like this game'.

I based that off of a later review that he did, which featured a trough of crap with game cases in it. TWEWY was one of those cases. Thus, he called TWEWY crap, just in a different review.

I really wish I could remember which review it was, though...

I tend to find that Yahtzee is a good indicator to whether you're going OTT about a game or series. If he insults the game and you throw a strop then you need to chill. If he throws a insult for a good reason and you don't mind, find it funny or agree, then you're ok.

I mean, I like Brawl. If he doesn't, then meh, at least he tried it. And yes, chill please.
