Anyone else here participating in Club Nintendo? I'm registering my games to get a copy of Game and Watch Collection for DS!

(For those of you who don't know what Club Nintendo it is a promotion program by Nintendo that gives points for games you register, and you can redeem those points for exclusive items)

I did when I saw it on that you know what site(especially the image). I would never ever known. Though I probably would from this topic but meh.

Anyway I wish I have enough for the G&W game. I have to wait for Christmas for the remaining points I need ><. I be broke right after that so there won't be anything else I can get. This is going to be like the Banco/Namdai ones where you only get enough points for a few cheep ones or one big one ><(expect I hope there is enough for everyone. I am so pissed off with the .hack one I said screw it for the rest of them). Unless they make it so EVERY Nintendo System game here on after can be register or there no way I would get anymore points for anything more. I hope they make the rest of the old register games eligable. It felt like waste entering all them in. IIRC the only thing they ever did was a free Zelda Collection GCN game.

Yeah, I looked at the European one, and it really has a lot of junk compared to the American and Japanese rewards.

And I started registering my games on Nintendo almost 5 years ago. All I got was a Metroid Prime 2 Demo disk.

Glad they finally opened this up in North America though.

Well, I joined a few days ago and I entered all my codes for the game I have minus a few that I've been having trouble with. I currently have 290 coins which means I'm 10 short of Gold Status. So, I hope to get another Nintendo made game before July to get the mystery free prize. Otherwise, I'm aiming to get the Animal Crossing: Playing Cards for 500 coins.

I'm looking at the stuff on the Europe one and some of it is ok. Though the stuff can be actually sold out or that just Europe's?. I wish we get something for the systems. Maybe 400 for Wii 100 for ds 200 for ds lite, 300 for DSi(when ever it comes over here)

I guess I should get my Mario Kart back from my sister so I can register it. I need 100 more points.

I don't think you need those games. I don't have Wii Fit right now, and I haven't registered my Mario Kart yet, but I was still able to get an account.

I love how the site only gives me coins for like half the games I register. :yuusaku: I guess if they're really old like Mario 64 DS and Wario Ware: Touched, it's one thing, but it wouldn't even give me credit for Professor Layton or Pokemon Diamond.

190 coins. Gonna be a loooong time before I can redeem for anything.

I had an account before when it was My Nintendo, and it only transfered about three games from all the ones I had registered.

Yeah, you can only register certain Wii and certain DS games. There's a list in the FAQ.
When I transferred my account over, I only got points for four games.

Yeah, sucks for all the people who registered their GBA/Gamecube games...

And yeah, you don't need Wii Fit or Mario Kart Wii to get an account.

Then somethings wrong. Layton gave me points. I'm not sure of Pokemond Diamond was on the list.

Considering this new club is for people in North America, then I would imagine so Ashxu ;)

I transferred my account over and got 590 coins, will have the magical 600 once they sort out giving me 10 for World of Goo. But I've got most of the items in the list already through the Japanese Club, so I will be saving them for something else.

Yeah, you're gonna ask how being in Europe I can be part of the clubs in US and Japan? Longtime friends in those countries and using their addresses, that's how ;)

I'm also member of the club nintendo, but on the european (or only the dutch one) you get lots more stars for the games and consoles. I registered all my games and got in total 5300 stars. the only thing you can buy for that ammount is a bunch of crap :grey:

You make a club nintendo account with your name, e-mail, address, blah blah blah at club.nintendo.com. Or if you have a MyNintendo account you can transfer that to Club Nintendo.

You then register your Nintendo games (that means Nintendo made/published only, no 2nd/3rd party games) to get points. The value of games are as follows:

Wii: 50 Points
Nintendo DS: 30 Points
Virtual Console: 10 Points

You can also say you are intending to buy a game when it comes out for an extra 10 points, or buy a Nintendo game within a month of it's release for an extra 10 points.

The cheapest item, a Wii Remote holder, is 300 points. The most expensive Item, Game and Watch Collection for the DS, is 800 points. So you need between 300 and 800 points to get something. So that's roughly 5-10 games to get the cheapest thing on the list.

You know over here, EVERY game that you register is 250 star points (I don't know how much you get for the consoles since it doesn't work whenever I try to register them).

You think that would be a good thing (considering all the cool stuff Club Nintendo USA gets & actually seems to function a lot better) but no, since all the cool items @ Club Nintendo Europe are too fucking expensive! :zenitora: (The most expensive being a limited edition golden statue of Link for 15,000 star points). I bet if the Game & Watch Collection was available over here, it would cost at least 5000 star points.

....OK I'm done being pissed about it for now :lana:

I don't know what's more awesome about Club Nintendo;

A) Over the years I have registered 50+ GameCube, GBA, and DS titles along with five different consoles, but only 13 of the games I registered are worth coins. So, if I want anything worthwhile (ie: The only thing, Game & Watch Collection), I basically have to buy at least 14 more games. I might as well just buy it off eBay.

B) I can't change my United States address to my Canadian address, because it doesn't allow you to change your address to a different country. LOL, fuck you everyone who moves! Even if I had enough points for anything worthwhile I wouldn't be able to receive it anyway and it'd be mailed to whoever the hell is living where I used to.

This is total bullshit. Fuck you, Nintendo of America. Again.

Aww, I was going to see how many Wii/DS codes I have...
I think enough to get a Wii Remote holder, or DS Carrying case... or maybe a DS game card holder with stylus holder.

I want to save up for the Game and Watch collection...
I wanted that game before they brought Club Nintendo to USA,
I wanted to get the Japanese Import from Play-Asia.

Out of curiosity, what prizes do they have on the Australian Club Nintendo? I saw the Game and Watch Collection and I want it really badly, but I doubt they have it. Do they, and if so, for how much coins?
