According to my husband who works at GameStop, you must pay 25 dollars to pre-order the system (and tell them what color you prefer). As always, this goes toward the purchase of the system.

When I heard about the DSi when it was coming out in Japan I kinda wanted the White but Black looked cooler to me, and now its coming to North America and it doesnt have White... but BLUE! and Blue is my favorite color,
Actually I complained how White, Black and Pink DS Lites were all they had back when I wanted a DS Lite and got a White one when I wanted a Blue one but they didnt make Blue/Black and the very limited Icy Blue bundles back then... Anyways I'm stuck between Blue or Black... D:

As you can see the blue one is a very pastel color. I really wish we were getting the white one because I would be more inclined to let my husband get us two. Now, I'm not so sure, but if we did get two I call dibs on the black one.

I just got the news today. You see, I've got this neighbour to my inmediate right who is a pilot. And he had to go to Miami for a simulation. Well, his wife told my dad today (YAY, HIS GIRLFRIEND AND KIDS ARE NOT HERE FOR A WEEK, I'M ALONE WITH HIM!) that he would go back in August. Well, this guy is an excellent person, absolutely reliable.
Dad: "Hey, you could ask him if you want to buy something there!"

According to my husband, who spoke to a Nintendo representative, the DSi is targeted toward an older market (I guess older teens and adults), while the DS is going to be geared toward younger gamers (kids and young teens). The only thing I can see that would be exclusive is if a game uses the DSi's camera in game.

I'm not sure about in Japan, but my guess is that they are trying to compete with the PSP and iPhone.

They are. In fact, when the rumor of a new DS came out, before the November 1st announcement, an user suggested "iDS", for it's camera feature.
