http://kotaku.com/5221680/is-capcom-counting-down-to-marvel-vs-capcom-2

In case you don't feel like reading the article, there has been some strong evidence of a rerelease of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on the 360 and PS3. The evidence in question:

1. A listing for Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on the 360 and PS3 appeared on the ESRB website
2. A Marvel vs. Capcom 2 official arcade stick appeared on shopto.net and was taken down shortly after.
3. xbox360achievements.com posted a list of Xbox 360 achievements for Marvel vs. Capcom 2, that totaled 200 gamerpoints
4. A countdown website, http://www.tu4ar.com has surfaced, and besides the large two, the clincher is that the url potentially stands for "take you for a ride", which was a line repeated to the point of annoyance on the character selection screen's song in Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

I dunno if a rerelease is is real or not (it's just rumor, after all), but there is enough evidence to strongly suggest one. Thoughs?

If you look at the status bar when the tu4ar site is loading, it also says "Transfering data from www.capcom.com..."

Man, I already own this game.
Online MvC2 would be kinda cool, but I wonder how they'll sort out all the HDness.
Oh well, I'll have fun messing around with my really scrubby version of Strider/Doom. Like, I'll spam some rocks, call out some lions, and die probably.

Awesome, day 1 buy. Also, you know the custom palette swap feature from Capcom vs SNK? I hope they implement it, I want to be Red Hulk.

These are all things that more or less completely clinch that it is going to be released.

The only way they can further cement it is outright saying "yes it'll come out"

It is outright shit and the fact that it has dominated North American arcades for years (at least, in terms of non-rhythm games) speaks to the sad state of NA gamers everywhere.

Amingo was fun though.

I as in Gamestop a few weeks ago when I spent $387 on Xbox360 games. A friend from school who works there comically pointed out a used copy of MvC2 (PS2): New Price $80 USED. This is like a 650% increase from the $20 Used Price tag it had only DAYS before >.>;

I already gave the PS2 version and wanna know what the deal with the price jump is. Overall the game was horrendously broken in terms of mechanics, AI (including the rediculously cheap boss--er--"bosses") and available playable characters. The X-Men and Street Fighter Chars should've been better represented (in terms of how many there were) since the cult classic that started it all (SF v X-Men--I'm sure it's supposed to be titled in the reverse order) was what led to this game being made to begin with.

IMHO, a MvC3 would be a better choice. I do recall Fans of MvC2 saying it's unlikely there will be an MvC3 or even a remake of MvC2 because that was the last game of that type Marvel was interested in doing with Capcom. I saw this as a possible Marvel V. DC Universe or Capcom V. MK but sadly we got the crap that was MK V. DC Universe.

You know, I fully understand the complaints that the game is broken, that's pretty apparent, but I will never understand why the hell people think Abyss is so hard. I'm terrible at everything ever and I easily disposed of him every time I had to fight him. I mean, what the heck throws you off? In his first form, he pauses for ridiculously long amounts of time, all you have to do is spam projectiles to beat his second form, and his third form can be killed with all that meter you've amassed raping everything else.

Abyss is pissant easy with most characters, it's only particular teams that have a rough time with him, but so long as you know what the fuck you're doing you shouldn't die to him.

I don't recall saying I had trouble with the boss. Only he was rediculously cheap compared to most of the final bosses in fighting games I've played. Most of the roster is usless against the boss and he can magically evade your ultra combo and hit you with one of his own--a real pain in the ass when you're using the classic BB Hood/Warmachine/Cable team =D

It isn't, It's based on the DC version. Capcom made that pretty clear when they announced it.

Oh, okay. Besides the fact that I can't click on links and read like any normal person, they're gonna release the closest thing to an arcade-perfect release. Good news for everyone without a DC.

And lol @ u guys bitchin about msp

P.S.- Poison needs to be in another fighting game. Final Fight Revenge was terrible...they should've just released All-Stars. :(((

Not bitching, just remarking something. Honestly, there's plenty of reasons to hate MvC2 without even looking at the roster.
