This is for discussing GameFAQs' Best Game Ever comp.

And to remind people to vote for our fav. attorney tomorrow! :D He's up against Half Life, Final Fantasy, and Zelda, so we need to get as many votes as possible!

Its not a best game ever competition, its a most popular game competition. Don't get me wrong, some games do deserve to go into the next round, but when you have something like Phoenix Wright against Zelda, Final Fantasy and Half-Life, you're sorta screwed. Another example would be toward the end: Persona 4 is a fantastic game and it deserves to go through as much as the three its competing against. Will it? Nope, its up against Brawl, Street Fighter 4 and GTAIV, three popular but arguably better/worse (guess it depends what you like, I didn't really like Brawl or GTAIV, never played SFIV) games that will probably go through for their popularity.

Besides, I'm voting for HL2 tommorow.

i voted phoenix wright because i dont care about half-life 2 or final fantasy and ocarina of time while a fantastic game is trumped in my book by a lot of factors which i dont feel like going into detail about

You know what? As much as I prefer Half-Life 2 I voted for Phoenix Wright. If only because I knew HL2 didn't need my vote. As I said, its a popularity contest, but in todays case, HL2 deserves to win, not TP.
