What'd you think of it? Good? Bad? Big? Small? PW like story? Crappy narration? etc.

Also, notice that the developer was "nude maker". You can do your own research on this company if you'd like, but I'd warn against holding grudges against them, because this game was epic. It's frickin' HUGE. 50 hour game.

So what'd you think of it? What chapter you on?

Exactly the opposite with me. I got preoccupied with playing Infinite Space so I neglected to finish the last chapter of AAI. No regrets tho.

My brother is addicted to infinite space right now. He's abandoned his copy of Strange Journey so he can play it. XD

I've been addicted to Strange journey instead, but I'm heavily considering picking up a copy of infinite space for myself sometime soon. >__>

No offence, but I found the game to be a bit of a waste of my cash.

The battles between spaceships rarely ever look like anything but two huge grey chunks of metal, the vocal audio was barely audible and sounded like random tangeants of utter nonsense: "Main screen, online. Touching button, touching other button, phaser particles getting ready. Ready to fire. Just about. GO!", and the RPG system between "towns" or planets, or whatever space fanatics might refer to these barren, lifeless places as ... well, they reminded me of something back from 1992, frankly.

The soundtrack was retro, which was a good thing. And I'm aware that these sort of games require an investment of time beyond the twenty four hour mark, but I just think Infinite Space was up against some fairly stiff competition. I'm of course, talking about the PSP, and the Next Generation consoles that actually matter.

Another irritating issue was the difficulty. The difficulty early on, due to low levels, lack of party members and so forth tends to mean you'll get blown up. A lot. I managed to survive some of these teeth grinding battles by simply playing it safe, which means I spent half an hour sneaking back and forth out of firing range because, should I have taken a single hit, I would have been dead instantly. Utter drivel. Who makes a game, for a Nintendo console of all things, that has such a learning curve that will utterly bewilder the Nintendo audience? I'm talking about casual gamers here, or those who just want a quick game whilst they're out and about. It's just ridiculous.

Demon's Souls for the Playstation 3 is touted as notoriously difficult, and new players are warned that they'll be taking the plunge into death often, but at least you felt like you were learning something from that game. This game, being an RPG, acts solely on a percentage of a chance that you'll fire a shot at the enemy "ship" or whatever, and most of the time, it will miss. So you're dancing about, drifting out of range simply so you CAN attack an enemy ... which takes upwards of a whole minute to accomplish because your stupid f**king energy bar has to fill at the pace of a lethargic snail. You bust on in, fire. And ... you miss.

Sorry, I just couldn't love this game if I tried. And I have a notorious amount of patience when it comes to these things. If I die, I continue, I feel like I'm learning how to play the game through this. Infinite Space just seems to operate solely on utter luck. Until you level up, I'm assuming, which takes time. Who's going to want to put in the time just to spend twenty minutes hovering about like some sort of space chicken and firing off pot shots at the enemy until you manage to make a hit? It's madness, really.

On the other hand, I loved Jake Hunter: Detective Chronicles and Warioware D.I.Y. Purchased those within a few weeks of Infinite Space, and they've been getting plenty of attention from me.

See, that's what games are supposed to do. Entertain the mind. Not bore the living f**k out of you.

You bought Detective Chronicles and liked it?! O_o. Here what you need to do. Take it back and go get Jake Hunter Detective Story: Memories of the Past. If you like DC you will LOVE the real full version.

Difficulty?...Huh. I never Had any problems. This game was TOO EASY for me. Cept for the Final Fight for Part 1 and the Finale everything was pretty easy. Very simple tactics, Wait till they activate Dodge, Use normal until they are close to turning Red. Then you turn on Dodge and start pulling back. It should lessen any damage from Normal and their Barrage or special should miss. Then Barrage or Final roar their Asses.

And the only crew I ever really needed was First Mate and Security Chief. Everything else I really didn't need. And If you the Enemy Can one Shot you, You are either Doing something Horribly wrong or you have the Wrong Ship for the Area.

But maybe that's just me. Always been good with supposedly "Hard" games. So yeah. Starting my Second Playthrough Now. Still enjoying it.

@Baki-Kun: You are aware that you can pimp your spaceships, right? Most accuracy/fragility problems can be fixed using the right modules/crew members.

I loved this game right until the final hour or so...people who've played it would probably understand why.

Protip: if you are less terrible at the game and/or omniscient, you can obtain a better ending.

Big hint: yell at Katida rather than lecture her. You'll understand when you get there, and you'll remember if you did it already. If Katida isn't still on your crew by the end of Chapter 8 you're doing it wrong.

If in doubt, consult a guide.

Oh by the way this game was awesome I loved it and everyone should play at least three times through hrrrrngggh n_n
Does we even do these things anymore?
