Which is your favorite scrolling shooter and why? Also present a picture if you can.

For me, it'd be Touhou Project 8, Imperishable Night. It's really fun and difficult. And the music is very good as well.

That's the game, I'm not sure if that's the hard or lunatic difficulty. I have to get this game.

Yeah, I like the Touhou series, I haven't gotten to Imperishable Night yet (I started with EoSD, and I'm still on Extra Stage [Damn you Flandre!]) and I haven't played too many Scrolling Shooters (If that is the correct term) besides Touhou.

Silpheed: The Lost Planet. It basically the only one I have played. Well that and the one from Gameboy Camera.

Yeah, I wanted to add Gradius Rebirth on that list. Oh, and Imperishable Night has an English translation. But maybe... should I play Scarlet Weather Rhapsody after I beat Imperishable Night? Lunatic Eyes have me addicted to the Touhou series. :gant:

Oh, and Scarlet Weather Rhapsody isn't a scrolling shooter, as far as I know.

Yes, Immaterial and Missing Power + Scarlet Weather Rhapsody are fighting games, not shooters.

I remember I was hooked on Scarlet Devil for a couple months because I kept trying to clear the game on Hard(which I did, one continue egh). Lunatic was pretty hard though..

Imperishable Night's also my favorite Touhou game though.

Oh yeah, fun fact: the first Touhou game wasn't a bullet-hell shooter. It was an Arkanoid clone with yin-yangs everywhere.

Outside of Touhou, I enjoyed Mushihime-sama and Ibara somewhat. Ikaruga was dumb. Mars Matrix is impossible though..
