I was thinking of playing either:

TP (which I've beaten, but I wonder how I'd feel about it on a 2nd playthrough since I won't go in really hyped for it).

or

Phantom Hourglass (which I didn't beat, although I did get significantly into the game)
Jesus is Lord.

Death Note is awesome.

Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess are probably the best ones to try out. They're two of the best (if not the best) Zelda games available, they're easy to get into, and they're a lot of fun for many reasons.

I find people have an easier time getting into the 3D Zelda over the 2D ones, like Link's Awakening and Link to the Past (even though they're also great games).

I love PH. Jolene is like the awesomest pirate evar and the game is quite unique compared to all the other Zelda handheld games. I've never played TP though so I'm kinda biased in my decision though.

I'm not new to zelda :-P

I've played both TP & PH, I just couldn't decide which to play.

I was disappointed in TP, but that could be because of it's insane hype, my favorite Zelda is probably Majora's Mask, which is funny because I never beat that one either (although I did get really close).

I reccomend MM, which I personally preffered to OOT despite the shorter main quest. Both Wind Waker and Twilight princess are over-rated though, with twilight princess being one of the most unoriginal Zelda's yet, due to transformation and going into the dark world being done before and to a better standard as well.

Talking about the place where you have to visit X's number of times? I agree on that. I prefer sailing over vast oceans over returning back to the same place over and over and over and over and over and game over and over and OVER and over and over.........

If you haven't yet, and since you got a Wii, you might want to go out and try to find the Wind Waker or the (rare) Collector's Edition, which includes Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Legend of Zelda and Adventure of Link. Wind Waker is my personal favourite Zelda ever, and the Collector's Edition is just great.

I gave up on that when the guy started ranting about how the next game in a series has a lot of similarities to the previous games in that series.

And HeroQuest was awesome.

I'd rather play Solid Snake in the Ocean King Temple than sail for ten uneventful minutes to get between islands in Wind Waker.

Have you played the Wind Waker then? Even on the most uneventful places there's at least some tower, some submarine, a diver's boat, a fish, treasure, that kind of thing.

Oh well - tastes differ.

I actually do have Collector's Edition. Which is sweet.

I also do have WW. Again, I'm not new to Zelda.

Let me guess, You're stuck on the snake form. That's really bad because there's no auto-targeting to save you and he moves really fast. Took me a while, too. All you need to do is try and aim at the tail when you think he's not going to ram you head-on. Takes a few tries, but you'll do it.

Mopetti, quand tu auras frotté frotté frotté tous les parquets de tous les vrais guerriers le matin, nous pourrons parler de ces jeux. (Mah boi, after you scrub scrub scrub all the floors of all true warriors in the morning, then we can talk about these games.)

The king in both games is very epic with "Mah boi", "dinner" and "Scrub all the floors in Hyrule".
Otherwise if you play "Your Majesty" backwards, you're gonna hear "This is Gameboy."
In the French version, "Votre Majesté" in backwards is "Hé, c'est Jean-Pierre Coffe!" (Hey, it's Jean-Pierre Coffe.(Jean-Pierre Coffe is a French comedian.))

P.S.:If you didn't finish both games when I told you a little about 'em, please forgive me. My bad. :yogi:
