Spoiler: Original announcement post
-------------

Announced at the Aksys AX panel. Summer 2016, 3DS/Vita, EN/JP voices. No screens/trailer yet.

Aksys PR wrote:
Many government organizations have dismissed our urgent warnings regarding the upcoming game event called Zero Time Dilemma. Recent intelligence has escalated our plans and we have come to the decision to contact gamers about the dangers directly. Our ultimate goal has always been to protect the public from the horrific consequences we have foreseen, but it appears our mission to prevent it from occurring may have failed. It is imperative that you make every effort to prepare yourselves for the oncoming deadly game, so that you may survive the coming apocalypse.

An antidote for the game is predicted to be created, but much further down this timeline, and as such there is no defense from its effects. It will be most easily identifiable on Nintendo 3DS™ and PlayStationVita handheld entertainment system, though it is transmittable through the air so the spread may increase even more rapidly through the PlayStationStore and Nintendo eShop.

Do not be tempted by familiar faces, fully voiced cinematics, multiple endings, or voices in both Japanese and English, as those are signs that the apocalypse is nigh. We suggest that you put extensive effort into improving your puzzle solving skills, as they will be vital to your survival.

We at Crash Keys beg for your assistance in notifying everyone you can so that no one is left in the dark about this dangerous game. The world will end up in a tumultuous uproar, and ultimate consequences will be unavoidable unless word gets out. Use all the time available to you before the summer of next year to contact your loved ones and prepare; our intelligence hasn’t been able to focus in on an exact date at this time. Do not fear – we are here to protect you and prepare you to our utmost ability so that you may survive. You will survive. We will use all channels available to contact you with updates as soon as we uncover them. You must be ready.

I'm telling myself I won't watch a single trailer. I'm just gonna listen to the main theme and that's it. This is my last experience with the series and I want to be as blank as possible

SO FUCKING EXCITED THOUGH

And now that I have a PSTV, now I have to make a choice... 3DS or Vita?

Unless the game doesn't get PSTV compatibility, which would be silly unless they intend to use the touch screen.

Also, I think this is when Sigma loses his eye and arms.

Bracelets confirmed!
Also, the game is confirmed to have a dog. Yay? Funyarinpa confirmed.

EDIT: Now with 100% more image.

Damn what happened to Sigma!? What a complete change! Lots of games with dog companions now.

Are you sure that's Sigma?
The art style looks pretty different and his hair isn't half as messy as before so it's hard to tell. He looks like Generic NPC #5 right now.

I'm interested in what the roman numerals on his arm are. Perhaps the new way of displaying a number? Maybe just someone's fashion choice but it looks like the number 2. There's also that peculiar device on his chest, it looks like a red slot for something. Perhaps a new "trap" for people?

Yes, that's the key art for ZE3, it's drawn by a new artist (name unknown).

It shows Sigma and

Diana
behind him.

The art style from this game seems really different, kinda more realistic.

Also, reading through the Zero Escape wiki I found something odd...

Spoiler: VLR and Ever 17
Apparently the consciousness inside K's body in the ending is confirmed to be be Blick Winkel. While it seems like a really obvious theory to make,is it really confirmed by the writers that this game will have something to do with the Infinity series?

Yeah,I wonder how they will do to keep the mystery/twist aspect with how confusing the other two games were.

I also wonder how many endings this is gonna have.VLR went from the 5 endings 999 had to about 22 endings...maybe since the Mars test site was supposedly filled with traps getting some of the Puzzles wrong will be lethal this time around.

Heck yeah I'm looking forward to this game already!

Though I have to admit that I don't remember much storywise from ZE 1 and 2. Over time I just remember how the puzzles worked and what theories/ messages it tried to convey in it's story. Do you guys know a way to catch up with the whole story without replaying the game again and getting all gold files etc.?

If you still have your copy of VLR, you can read all the gold files over again and also just play through the true ending path (for example, start the game after the last puzzle room). Otherwise, it will take a long time to play through again, even when avoiding the bad endings.

With 999, you can't jump around, but you could still play through the true ending path only if you still have a save game in it. Otherwise, you only have to play the game twice to get the true ending; I'd suggest looking up a spoiler-free guide that tells you which doors to go through.

By the way, it looks like ZE3 is ALREADY up for pre-order. There's even a limited watch edition, though it's currently unavailable. Watches confirmed in ZE3? http://www.amazon.com/Zero-Escape-3-Nin ... B010U1DNE8

They already said it would be released Summer 2016.

Amazon just sets the release date to December 31 of the year it is announced to come out when there is no exact release date, since they don't want to give a date that will have to be pushed back. So don't take that date at face value.

Eh lying about stuff like that I might believe if it actually served a villain's long term goal.

Actually bought a board game that I'd say is fairly inspired by this (and time travel visual novels in general) just the other day. "Tragedy looper" players play a group of time travellers trying to prevent an awful series of events from happening using knowledge they gain from each 'loop'. One player plays a mastermind who knows all the events leading to disaster but has to ensure they come to pass.

Speaking of games, how's that Third CR nonary game coming along JM?

(Man what an inelegant segway)
