It's a great cinematic (once you get past the Yuna singing part at the beginning).

I really did like the Shuyin/Lenne plot. Too bad it had to be tied into the rest of the game >.>

I saw the 1000 words song on Youtube since I had heard it was a good song and I really enjoyed it. As far as X-2 was concerned, I didn't care for it at all. I only got it since it was the sequel to FFX. I like minigames in the FF series, but I just thought they overdid it with the games and that pretty much stopped me from completing the game.

I never did manage to finish that bothersome game, but I have hummed "1000 words" on various occasions (many of them wonderfully inappropriate). Go me.

It was an...innovative plot. I didn't care for the game all that much, but it was an interesting idea that the dressphere had a memory implanted in it.

I completed 91% of FFX-2. I have a game saved where I'm in the city of Luca and run to the movie theater to watch all the cut scenes. I end up watching 1000 Words a lot and I don't get bored of it. I also re-watch the good ending several times too.

What he/she said. I really like the idea for some reason. FFIX and FFX are better though.

Now get ready for this: it's better than Final Fantasy VII! *is shot*

I couldn't play the game for more than a few minutes because it was slowly depleting my IQ. So my friend showed me the 1000 words bit, and the fact that Yuna was singing a pop song to keep people from warring (or whatever was going on there) nearly put me into convulsions.

But it's still a really nice song <3

I really like FFX-2 for some odd reason. Maybe because it's unorthodox and something new to try. The song is great as well!

I loved 1000 words, but not as much as Real Emotion, mostly because the RE video was more awesome, and I was only 13 at the time Nick . I liked FFX-2 as a whole, though. Used to scream "girl-power!" while playing it.

Wish I could sing the song to a public.

I liked X-2. It wasn't great, wasn't in any way memorable, but was fun. The Lenne-Shuyin plot was great (I love Shuyin as a villian; he's tragically ignored, but I think he's wonderful), the Dressphere system was one I loved (I really want a White Mage/Trainer dressphere >.>), it was less linear than X, for which I was grateful, and even though the plot and characters weren't the best, it did have it moments. If one ignores the less-than-subtle fanservice.

I really liked 1000 Words too. Though I much prefer the Japanese version. Especially the orchestrated one. Real Emotion in both langauges annoys me simply because the "What can I do for you?" line just makes me think of waitresses. >.>

It amuses me endlessly that Yuna is actually not great at singing in the slightest, since it's Lenne that sings 1000 words, Leblanc that sings Real Emotion and the only time you actually hear Yuna sing is when she's rehearsing in the awful "La la laaaa~!" scene which makes your ears bleed.

I heard from my friend, that in the Japanese version, Yuna sang at the concert in the start of the game, and since she can't dance, that Rikku put some device on Yuna's hair to help her dance. That's what I heard. Someone please debunk this if it's not true.

That's still LeBlanc. At the time of the concert Yuna was running around outside dressed as a Moogle, for some reason.

I have to cmpletely agree with you, X-2 was one of my least favourite game in the FF Series, but the song and the effects adds quite an interesting touch to it.

Reasons I like FFX-2:
1:It's a FF game. The only exception to the "it's a FF game" reason in XII. I hated that game so...friggin'...much.
2:Rikku is one of the main characters. From what I believe and hear, she is classified as one of the hottest video game girls in the history of non-sex-oriented-games-like-hentai.
3:I have the music in that game stuck in my head. I sing the opening movie song (GOD WHY CAN I NOT REMEMBER THE NAME ALL OF THE SUDDEN?) about as many times a day as I sing Hare-Hare-Yukai. Except I actually do the dance with the latter.
4:It has Rikku as a main character. I know I already said this, but she's one of my favorite characters in the series with Zidane a close second.
5:It's got a great storyline. What more is there to say.
Reasons I hate FFX-2
1:When it comes to catching chocobos in that game, I suck more balls then Paris Hilton.
2:The added fact that you HAVE to catch a chocobo before chapter three ends in order to get 100% doesn't help either.
End of my rant....Why do I feel like I just went off topic...?

I dunno... Jade just annoys me, I guess... I've seen some of the other stuff she's done and I just don't like her very much. And while it's very well done, some of the lyrics seem a little odd, clumsy and too literally-translated to me; "Wait for me, I'll write you letters" always seemed to be really weird and out-of-place line to me. :/
Same goes for Kingdom Hearts' Simple and Clean; "Don't get me wrong, I love you... But does that mean I have to meet your father?"? Really? I'm all for preserving what was good about the original, but making it sound like it was put through babelfish translation isn't the way to do it.

Do you mean Real Emotion or the opening-opening theme, Eternity: Memory of Lightwaves? I absolutely love that. It's so pretty... and I love the vocal version (which may or may not be called Morning Glow).
My other favorite track in the game was Rikku's theme (the vocal's called (forgive the spelling) Hadashi no Kiseki), which is bouncy and fun. :D

Final fantasy X-2 was an okay RPG...I still couldn't able to get a lousy 100% but I stopped at 98% and never touched the game since. Some of the songs are nice to listen too.

Has anyone played the JAPAN EXCLUSIVE of Final Fantasy X-2 Last Mission+International? That one is more fun than the original! (2 new dressspheres, some new bosses, ETC.)

Good question, I guess SQUARE-ENIX is very, very, stingy to add such special features...and never bring them stateside. (However, the voices can be switched to ENGLISH but the rest are japanese)

I mean, would Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+ kill the USA release? That is very unlikely!! :edgeworth:

That's why I don't like Square Enix that much. They always seem to release the half-assed versions to North America while the international versions get the best crap.

Maybe we should pay Japan back with a half-assed Halo 3. :karma: (Joking of course.)

I guess I'm one of the few people who like this game more than any other FF game (although, I've only ever completed this and FFX). Yes, the music in this game is awesome, especially the two main songs, REAL emotion (I think the game spells it that way) and 1000 Words.

Maybe it's because I'm young and naive, but I thought the story was quite good. I don't understand why everyone hates it... :eh?:

I've also got 100%, but the Perfect Ending is, well, underwhelming. It's not even an FMV!

Ive never really cared for X-2 like I cared for X. X, I consider to be one of the best games ever made and is probably my favorite game.

X-2 had a good battle system and it had Rikku. Other than that, it didn't really have much else on the positive side, mostly an average game. I still need to beat it, but I've already watched the ending on YouTube before.

Edit: And, I just realized I was on page 17 of the forum. Sorry for reviving an old topic. I'll take this moment to formally apologize. I'm sorry. :payne:

I finished it with relatively no difficulty. I suppose it is the least played amongst the Final Fantasy that I have but the point is that '1000 words' is just so...inspiring.

Plus I've got the sheet music and can play 1000 Words on my piano :P
