But whatever. The series is pretty dope. Rubber pirates, prehistoric islands, fighting chicks, etc.
I've mostly stayed in touch with the manga. The furthest I've watched the anime is up to the battle aboard Baratie. The English manga is currently on Vol. 21 and features probably the most epic fights yet; Nami vs. Ms. Doublefinger and Zoro vs. Mr. 1 (THE HUMAN SWORD).

Well, I like One Piece, Gash Bell, Fullmetal Alchemist-- there's not a shortage of series I like in the shonen demographic. But with all things, I happen to be rather critical.
I have little to criticize with One Piece. It's phenomenally well-layered and handled with a significant amount of love and professionalism. The kind that most mangaka dream of achieving.

Anyway, I was sad that the dub got cut off in the Skypeia arc. The only thing that really annoyed me was that the "fossil cloud" this made zero sense, and that the whole mini-arc leading up to Skypeia was way too dull, long, and boring.
I want to see what all the other tests are!!! T_T

Had to start when they defeated Moria, God Nightmare Luffy was awesome, and went straight to Hell's Prison. Though Buggys bounty is probably going to sky rocket once they get to Marine HQ.
Though I must say I feel sorry that Sanji lost on that Cross Dresser island....Or whatever it's called.

As for the anime I am about 10 episodes away from being caught up with the anime but since my mum and brother watch it with me, and they are very uptight, they insist of having everything burnt on to DVD's so we can watch it together on the TV. I swear if it wasn't for them I would have caught up a long time ago!
Now for my favourite character... the one and only womanizer Sanji-kun!!! I don't know what it is about him that makes him my absolute favourite, maybe it's his flirty nature, maybe it's the fact that he can cook, maybe it's the fact that he will kick anyone's ass who gets in his way. Or maybe it's all these qualities put together plus the fact that he can do it all yet he still looks good!! <3

I want to kill Luffie's english dub voice. In fact, I do not get most of One Piece, it seems to be a very vague message about 'enjoy the journey' with splashes of 'friendship is great, yo' and 'willpower beats all'.
Funny how the pirate king guy created a pirate world through the promise of treasure which does not exist outside of the mind eh? Of course, I never watched the whole thing or read it all so I am going by my guesses, which are often off the mark. One Piece is the journey, the joys of life. profound, like the term 'the thought that counts', see entry for Irritating Bollocks.
I like Roronoa Zoro though his back story seems to be pretty dull, regardless of the attempt at tragic loss and junk, least he became less of a jerk. Maybe.
Does anyone care about Chopper? I don't.

It also had some of the most outrageous expressions of ball-slapping shock and horror I've ever seen.
It was fantastic, yet Water Seven is already challenging its position as my favorite saga of the series. March can't come quick enough!
EDIT: I forgot to mention the part where
was super-bizarre.
