I also put my signature on the petetion that shows about teenage problems are horrible, Jersey Shore sets a bad example etc. But it doesn't bother me much since you can easily avoid these shows.

The thing I do hate though are all soccer and other sports related shows on Dutch TV.
Maybe a bit hard to imagine if you're not from Europe, but over here in the Netherlands soccer is pretty much available to watch 24/7 and during some periods it occupies all the channels.
This is bothersome because the rest of my family does like soccer and watches it when possible. Meaning that during my entire childhood I'd be forced to watch something I didn't like and therefore it grew to hate.

It saturates TV shows, it saturates conversations at work and parties, It's a goddamn nightmare for people who don't like soccer. Needless to say you're considered some kind of paria if you don't like soccer.

Why can't we have basketball as the no.1 sport here...?

Maybe it's because I'm entirely unsporty, but I never saw the point of watching sports anyway. Like soccer or basketball or anything like that - it's just a bunch of people, chasing after a ball. What's the appeal? I like to watch a bit of beach/volleyball at times, but not for very long.

I guess I can say I'm beginning to hate The Spiderwick Chronicles.
I watched it with one of my guy-pals from high school, one of his younger brothers, my mom and his mom. Yes, apparently his mom was trying to hook me up with my friend, but.... Anyway, the movie was sort of okay... but not really. A scene during the end was funny. And what happens to the professor's daughter in the end... well, I saw it coming. And I knew the "rules" of that, so it was obvious. But mostly, it kinda felt like a waste of time.

I'm not big on sports in general either. I also can't stand to watch any sport for a long time.
But Basketball has only 40 minutes official playtime and soccer has 90. Also is basketball way more dynamic and therefore more interesting to watch. I also play basketball myself so it would make a good substitution instead of soccer for me.
