Animaniacs before they moved to the WB network. Like, I swear, once they switched channels, the quality of the show in general went down the shitter.

It was, but in the form of a Radio Play, not an actual episode. If it were simply that I wanted to know what happened, I'd read the script, which I have, but it was the principle of the thing.

Loved Freakazoid. Loved it. One day I managed to snatch the entire series from the darkness of the internet. Did anyone ever watch Cartoon Planet?

This topic brings back nostalgia... Ah, the days of my youth... Nothing like the scent of fresh lemon, though... Anyway, I've heard of most, if not all, of those cartoons and I can safely say I loved all of them. I've never really gotten into the Japanese anime scene... I stopped watching television obsessively a few years ago, and now, I rarely watch it save to see MythBusters or another good Discovery Channel show... But that's not the topic at hand. I don't really have any favorite cartoons, though I really really enjoyed the Looney Tunes series, especially the ones with Bugs Bunny... Mel Blanc was a great voice actor.

Oh and I also just remembered, there is a cable channel that I have called "Boomerang" that has all kinds of classic cartoons. If you have that channel, I'd highly recommend tuning into it a few times. It's got some great shows.
Thank you for reading. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Well, let's knock Nickelodeon out of the way first: Angry Beavers and Invader Zim. I do believe Angry Beavers got the run it deserved before it ran stale, but I think Zim got a shitty deal.

Actually, only two other shows stand out to me. One was Freakazoid, which was high-freakin'-larious, and the other was Space Ghost: Coast to Coast, which Adult Swim cut for shows about inbred squids, poorly animated deadpan mice, and fucking Tim and Eric in everything.

It wasn't fair what happened to Zim. If someone knows otherwise, please tell me... but I heard that it was canceled because of the Christmas special it had. Is that right?

Also... oh my word... I loved Angry Beavers. I wish I could have that series on dvd.

Well, Wikipedia says that

The show never found a time slot that the creators of the program thought suitable and suffered in the ratings.

I guess it got cancelled because of that... I doubt it, though.

OMG, there is NO Muppet Babies love on this forum?! It WAS on Nickelodeon (as reruns), but it was on CBS originally.

If they EVER put MB on DVD officially, they better the f888 give us a remastered picture and sound as well as not giving us the goddamn syndie titles!!

Oh, and I think Toei did the animation for a time, for those of you who know wth Toei is...

When I was a wee kid, there was a show on TV about a dog called What A Mess. I still remember a bit of the themesong.

I used to love that show a lot. But if I watched it now I'd probably try to kill the nearest object.

Futurama's still going on, though probably not for much longer, since the new season will just be a set of movies cut up into episodes. The show's been on Adult Swim for a while and is moving to Comedy Central real soon.

Are they adding new episodes finally? I heard they were making movies or whatnot, but man, I remember when it ended on Fox. They never gave it a decent time slot and it was ALWAYS preempted by football.

I'll save myself the trouble of racking my brain and say "all the major Cartoon Cartoons", especially Johnny Bravo and Ed, Edd 'n Eddy. Also Kids Next Door was cool.

Also, ADULT SWIM (from 2005 - 2007 more or less. The Aqua Teen era)

Oh my gosh! Ed Edd and Eddy, I loved that show! I'm glad they at least still show re-runs of it on CN. Wow, and how long did that show keep airing episodes? Like, 10 years or something?

Doug was a weird show, but it's basically a kid having his daydreams and making comicstrips out them. I find it relateable, I have things happen to me in daily life that I want to draw in comicstrip form.

Yeah, my mom enjoyed Hey Arnold, too, at times.
We both enjoyed it how Helga went off on a tangent about her love for Arnold, but then the kid is standing behind her, breathing heavily and she punches him. Also Eugene... "I'm okay!"
