Oh hey we're back!

Thoughts on Series Six: It was brilliant. The reveal in 6x07 was way too obvious, but other than that, thumbs up. And a kind of vague smile and a pat on the head to 'Curse of the Black Spot'.

Absolutely loved Series 6 part 1 and I can't wait for part 2. And I freaking love River Song. BAMF.

So, I'm not the only fan of River then? Whoo!

I've enjoyed the series so far but not nearly as much as I enjoyed last series. But Neil Gaiman's episode (The Doctor's Wife) is probably my favourite NuWho episode and I did enjoy A Good Man Goes To War quite a lot, even if the twist was predictable. Thankfully, it WAS well acted and pulled-off anyway.

Been liking the new series of Torchwood thus far. Still some rough patches, but the premise is great.

I'm most excited for doctor who though.
I watched Alan carrs show one night with Matt smith as a guest star. And he was saying he is on contract until 2013 and that's when the 50 anniversary is. And they're thinking of bringing back all the not dead doctors for a special then

Late August seems more likely, since the Series 6 part 2 DVD is due out early October.

Also, cast info for next season from Comic-Con:

Spoiler:
Matt and Karen are back for series 7, no word from Arthur or Alex.

EDIT: New series 6b trailer!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76vzfxJR ... r_embedded

Spoiler: The trailer
Rory punches Hitler. Rory. Punches. Hitler.

Late August can't come fast enough.

Was disappointed at how little Hitler was in it though. And was confused a lot. But enjoyed it nonetheless. Both more and less so than expected. Also, is he still in the cupboard?

The new episode just showed in the United States, and it was pretty good, although I was hoping Hitler and the Nazis would have more of a role in the plot.

Pretty good overall; it was neat to see River really get an episode focused on her. And I never thought I'd say this, but Hitler was amusing.

No.

They failed Hitler. Steven Moffat.

YOU FAILED HITLER.

Hitler, quite frankly, would never behave like that in my mind.

AND THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE FREAKING GERMAN ACCENTS.

I disagree SO much. I don't really like many of RTD's episodes and yet I love almost all of Moffat's.

I think RTD can't write decent episodes to save his life. Doctor Who is a comedy, sci-fi, action bash thingy ma jiggy. Not a soap. The Moff realises this. RTD does not.

Let's Kill Hitler
Spoiler: And then who was monkey?
WHERE THE FUCK WAS HITLER? Three seconds of Nazi-punching fun and then it turns into a mindfuck of "My best friend is my daughter who I named my daughter after who we've been travelling with forever and marries my new best friend who caused all this to happen." I mean, Ihave no objections to the story, it just could have been in a better episode, like one that, oh I don't know, DOESN'T HAVE HITLER AS A LEAD-IN.

But hey, the story was great.

Wow. Night Terrors was disappointing. Bland. Didn't leave an impression on me. etc.

Seriously Mark, you're a good writer but you need to learn how to pace when you have 45 minutes. And also add humour. And other stuff.

Since that episode was supposed to air in the first half of the series, Moffat has attempted to make it look like he bothered to assimilate it into the new chronological order of the series. How does he accomplish this? That little reminder at the end of the ep. Nothing else. He just reused the...bloody hell, Steven! There wasn't even any reference to the previous ep, IIRC.[/rage]
Plus, Mark Gatiss failed to use the time space to his advantage. The plot was only three-quarters explained and the whole episode was focused on the family, not at all on the main three protagonists! *Karma headbang*
But it was Doctor Who and I was eating chips with gravy. So I enjoyed it, for some reason.
But don't even get me started on that last episode of TW...

Moff vs RTD wars are my pet peeve. I think I wrote a rant about it recently here. >_>

Anyway, I absolutely loved Let's Kill Hitler (aside from maybe one or two questionable lines, I am side eyeing you so hard Moffat, 'she's a woman' what.) , and I ADORED how Hitler was never mentioned again. I dunno, but I feel like making him a part of the plot and giving him a role beyond being shoved into a cupboard and punched is just more than he deserves. I've got mixed emotions about the next episode: On one hand the Cybermen are back (2nd favourite villains, losing only to the Daleks), on the other James Corden is in it (and as you might guess, I'm not exactly a fan of his).
