Odd that Bloom and Knightley wouldn't be in then. I read some interviews, all of which said they had tremendous amounts of fun making these movies.

I heard Keira didn't want to make anymore. She said she was tired of playing the same character over and over again.

Meh. I didn't like Elizabeth much anyway. She was fine in the first, but in the last two she was annoying/bitchy.

Yeah, Knightley opted out of playing the character because she'd been playing her since her teens. And they sure look like they had fun if you go by the Outtakes. They're hilarious. XD

Well what do you know? Guess they did leave it open for another one! (Owes his brother some money now...)

Still it makes sense that Will and Elizabeth wouldn't be in it.

I look forward to this! :keiko:

The last two movies were worse than the first one, hope they would try to make this one more like the first :/

Well it's probably just me, but I really enjoyed the third one (I admit that the second one was a bit dull and mostly served as filler between the other two or something).

Third one was decent, but the first one will always be my favorite of the trilogy.

It's a historical movie. (re: Keira's new film, The Duchess) Historical = different clothes/hair.

I still think the first movie was the best out of the whole trilogy. I hope the 4th movie doesn't go overboard. Though it would be nice to see a little Barbossa and Jack Sparrow backstory if this is a prequel.

When I saw the title of the topic I was thinking "OH HELL NO".

But it's a prequel? :) That's acceptable. They DID leave a bit out, such as the previous mutiny against Jack Sparrow mentioned in the first movie.

Like others, I also liked very much the First. The second and the third stink like hell, so its very posible that I won't bother to see the fourth.

Captain Jack Sparrow meets Barbossa, late-captain Jack Sparrow meets Beckett Cutler, also known as Cutler Beckett.

I liked the second, but I thought the third diminished Davy Jones in one hit (how the hell did he go from evil captain to whimpering wuss?), and the whole Calypso thing was very random indeed. It kind of undid all the pirate magic and being stuck on a ship like stuff from the first and second.

Emo Davy Jones was not what we wanted, right?

I really disliked the actions of Davy's crew when Jones was killed. He had been their captain for what, a hundred years at least, and when he dies they are all like:"Oh, now we need a new cap."
