The first three books in the Saga of Darren Shan seires came out as a movie the other day (in England, anyway,).

It was a pretty cool movie. Or at least, I liked it.

No, I didn't like it beacuse it was like Twilight - I liked it beacuse it was nothing like it. :3

Opinions?

I'm debating on whether to see this or not. It looks like a clever movie, but I have not read the books. Would you recommend this to someone who has never read the Cirque du Freak series

Yeah, I would. It's quite different from the books, and it explains everything well, so you don't have to have read the books to see this movie. ;D

Everything looks completely different from how I imagined it in the book. (Of course, I always ignore most of the physical descriptions in book xD) Although I don't remember anything like the snake and monkey girl and whatever from the trailer... that seems like they stuff just to make it a more entertaining movie, and I don't typically like that stuff =\

I wanna see it. May go in a couple a days. i havenyt read the book, but my sis says its a good book :godot:

It can't really be ruined by a crap adaptation as I hasnt read it. might do though :godot:

I haven't read the books or seen the movie, but after watching the trailers, I can't tell if John C. Reilly is playing a serious character or a comical one.

Meh.. I'm going to watch it, but I'm not expecting it to be anything like the books. I have read up to.. four, was it?

Rebecca -The monkey girl- was in the place of Debbie, a character introduced in the second book. Evra was in it though.
