But I usually loathe the music in it, since I tend not to like pop music much. I was really excited that they covered Lily Allen's Smile (that was the only pop song I liked on the soundtrack), but then they botched it :/
I watch for the showtunes
also, the plot is really funny. I watch with a friend and we make comments, which is nice since it keeps us from taking the show too seriously while at the same time keeps us engaged with the show.

Seriously, the humor in Glee is ridiculously hilarious. That kind of humor that is very funny when you hear it the first time, but then gradually becomes less funnier every time you hear it. For example, Sue Sylvester saying that she does what she does to get a hoverboard, or that she doesn't have children because she doesn't have neither time nor uterus. Sue is definitely the show's best character, hands down.
And the music is good, yeah. Tons and tons of auto-tune.
So yeah, I really like it. But no mid-season finale spoilers, please, I'm still on "Wheels".

Uh, yeah.It's funny, I don't even like the originals of most of the songs in Glee(except 'Don't Stop Believin'', omfg, I love that song
). I just love singing along with the characters in the programme. I like the way they perform the songs. XDAnd I love Sue and Terri, they're hilarious.

Glee is an absolute parody of the TV series you think Glee is. High School Musical was just a way to get Zac Efron to the big screen and sell tickets to hormone-filled fangirls. Oh, and there were another people, and maybe songs, too. Yeah, I think I recall some of that.
Anyway, go watch Glee, for your sake. It's just very, very wrong that some people call Glee "High School Musical the TV Series". Very wrong.
