Has anyone even heard of Magic Kaito, I wonder? Or has the magic-performing phantom thief eluded you all once again?

(If anyone hasn't heard about it)* Magic Kaito is a manga series about a young man named Kaito Kuroba, who was the child of a great magician named Toichi Kuroba, and Toichi was once known as a thief named Kaito Kid (Phantom Thief Kid, Phantom Thief 1412). But one day, Toichi died (er, rather MURDERED) during one of his public performances. Now, many years later, Kaito takes the identity of Kaito Kid to find out who murdered his father. But while he acts as Kaito Kid, he must also elude Detective Ginzo Nakamori, the father of his childhood friend, Aoko, who both hate Kaito Kid.*

*~ If you haven't read the manga, then that's okay. The series Detective Conan (Case Closed) was created by the same person as Magic Kaito, so Kaito and his friends (and Ginzo) all make appearances in the manga and anime at some point. There's also a Magic Kaito anime going on, though I thought it was just going to be an OVA or something for Detective Conan. ~*

Yep, I read it online, too! Sadly, the author stopped work on MK due to Detective Conan becoming a big hit. But oh well, Magic Kaito will make a comeback!! Either that or pint-sized detectives are the new ninjas and vampires. XD
