Yup, Classics ranging from anime, television shows, cartoons, movies ect.

Movies

Some like it hot- Its as funny as hell despite its oldness. About two musicians witnessing a murder by a gang member, they then join an all girl band disguised as girls. They then meet sugar, who wants to meet a millionare down in Florida where they're traveling.
And some others are Impressions of Life, The wild bunch, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid, Gone with the Wind, Mr. Steffington and a couple more I just have to remember.

Anime.
Slam dunk of course, it is simply epic. Too bad they stopped bringing the manga over here.

Dragon Ball- Another Epic classic. I loved this way more than DBZ. And the manga makes it even better.

Pokemon- Yes, I'm listing it. Despite the market whoring it, pokemon(Well, the first season and possibly Diamond and Pearl) was a true childhood classic and I still watch it on Boomerang to this day.

There is more, I just have to think.

Cartoons.
Spiderman- Obvious Reasons
Scooby Doo- Its been around before I was born.

Oh man there is more than this, way more. I just can't think right now. :payne:

I miss Looney Tunes and Animaniacs. Haven't seen those shows in ages and I really wish I had the opportunity to watch them again. I don't have Boomerang or anything like that, so it sucks.

Same problem with me. I don't have Boomerang. Animaniacs and Looney Tunes were favorites of mine when I was little, and I've longed to see them again. Who can't forget them? I mean, today - most cartoons on the channels that we used to watch - such as, well, let's say, Cartoon Network and Nickaleodeon, have sold themselves out for crap. I mean, knowing that they're a kid-aimed network, why not bring back those classics? I mean, the only ones I see on now are Tom and Jerry, and that's usually shown during the school day for me. Scooby Doo, also. Forgot to add that.

Ahh, I remember those. Pokemon was good when it started out, in my opinion. After the first Kanto season, I really lost dependancy in the series, mostly because after that, they started to produce shows for all the new Pokemon games that came out. Yet again, I think I need to buy Boomerang..

I never watched Dragon Ball, although, all my friends did. Also, what about TMNT? (I mean, the older cartoon version) I remember most of my friends obsessing over that. It was funny. Wouldn't it still be regarded as a classic cartoon?

Of course! The old school TMNT was the best! I've seen a couple of the new ones, but they lack the humor and pizza that made the old ones so loveable. Raph was always my favorite. And I have yet to hear about Krang, Rocksteady, and Bebop on the new ones.

I'm glad that we both consider TMNT to be a classic - I remember I watched it as a kid. It's just sad that TMNT took the same road as Pokemon - the show was good in it's first year, then it takes a big downfall after the first season by making horrible sequels.

About the bold: I also think the same.

Citizen Kane is awesome and I respect it as a very important film of classic cinema, but it's not one of my favorites.

But Tetsuo the Iron Man. Oh baby, what a classic that was. Turn up the volume and cut to the drill scene. Whoooo~

I'm saying that only because it's a classic and wasn't mentioned, while ANIMANIACS is mentioned.

Bugs Bunny--LOVE it! :) Been a favourite of mine since I was a kid. :)
Rocket Robin Hood--Another favourite of mine from my childhood. Robin Hood and the Merry Men set in the future.
Spiderman (cartoon; Paul Soles, a Canadian actor, provided the voice)--good story lines. :)
This is the Law--Canadian show discussing aspects of Canadian law (very interesting)
Let's Go!--Canadian show for kids. I sent in an idea once that was used and got a t-shirt. :) I was pretty excited about that!
Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In--Funny stuff! :)
Star Trek (original)--My favourite. :)
Smith & Smith--Canadian variety show starring husband and wife team of Steve & Morag Smith. Good sketches and good music. :)
You Can't Do That On Television!--Canadian show for kids and teens that could be a bit gross-out at times but still funny. :) (Like Laugh-In)
Front Page Challenge--I watched this show for years with my Dad.
Godzilla movies--good stuff! The cheesier they are, the better I like them. :)
Godzilla cartoon--I really liked it! :)
Twilight Zone (original)--too many shows to mention that I liked. Creepy as all get out though, at times.
Tom & Jerry and Scooby-Doo--childhood classic favourites
Neon Rider--Canadian drama.
Moonlighting--:)
Dr. Who-- :)
Astro Boy--liked it long before I knew it was anime. :)
Battle of the Planets--Loved those outfits. :)
Red Green--Canadian show with an assortment of wild and wacky characters from Possum Lodge. :)
The World at War--good show.
Little Rascals/The Three Stooges--Enjoyed these shows. :) I'm still a Stooges fan all these years later. :)
The Flintstones/Laff Olympics/Huckleberry Hound/Rocky and Bullwinkle/Quick Draw McGraw-El Kabong/Deputy Dawg/Mighty Mouse--Some more classic cartoons. :)
The Addams Family/Bewitched/Get Smart/Cliffhangers/The Bionic Woman/The Six Million Dollar Man/Star Trek, the original series animated/Cheers/Hill Street Blues/21 Jump Street/Video Hits/St. Elsewhere/Trapper John, M.D./Quincy/The Odd Couple (Jack Klugman and Tony Randall)/Coumbo/McMillan/The Rockford Files/The A-Team/McMillan and Wife/Macleod--so many favourites. :)

Movies

Jaws--Saw this when I was a kid with my Dad. Scared the stuffing out of me at the time but then became a favourite of mine whenever I got mad at somebody: I'd watch it and the people who were chewed in the movie I'd imagine were the person or people I were angry with. It was immensely satisfying, to say the least! :)

Rooster Cogburn and the Lady--The first John Wayne movie I saw. I was 14 at the time. :) I liked it because he was abrasive and strong. :)

The Wizard of Oz (1939)/Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948)/The Great Dictator (1940)/Duel (1973)--Great movies.

I hear ya there! Why mess with something that already works? I love the original The Fog and had no interest in seeing the remake at all and the promos I saw on TV only strengthened my desire not to.

I so ,totally, agree with you on that one.

I have so many favorite classic cartoons that I can't even bother to list them or else I woukd have to make like 10 posts worth of lists. Yes, I love watching classic cartooon that much! I love almost all of them from Looney Tunes to Pinky and The Brain. Give me almost any cartoon from before 2000 and chances are that I know it and I'll love it.

Would As Told By Ginger classify as a "classic?"

It involves the adolesant life of Ginger Fowley and her friends/family as they tackle life's many challenges some of these challenges are not tackled in other cartoons that are actually realistic about life. Even highschool dramas don't tackle some of the issues As Told By Ginger tackles. Not to mention there is some great character development and the characters actually have different clothes everyday.

I love this bloody show!

I can't really think of other "classics" I like right now but for classic anime I adore Cardcaptor Sakura.

Didn't you see Johnny Depp in it?

If its not a POTC movie and it has him in it there's a 70% chance Tim Burton did it and a 60% chance Helena Bonham Carter will show up somewhere.

My favorite classic anime is Ashita no Joe, which I've seen 46 episodes of as well as the two compilation movies (confession time: the second one teared me up at the end). I'm not sure why I like it so much, as I'm not even remotely into boxing or sports in general... I guess it's the fighting spirit. The story is just as much about character growth than it is about the actual sport. Probably even moreso, idk.

@Pierre: Oh man, Blazing Saddles is hilarious. Have you seen Young Frankenstein? Gene Wilder is great.

Yes I have, yes Gene Wilder is incredible. He was so good in blazing saddles he managed to make Cleavon Little (Sheriff Bart) actually laugh mid-scene. The scene where he talks about the people of the land and ends with "y'know.....morons" triggers an unscripted laugh from Little that they just kept in the movie.

Apparently the "morons" line was just him ad-libbing but shows how hilarious he can be.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the old Scooby Doo cartoons.

But as a young adult and a person who has watched so much animation, it kind of annoyed me how the old Scooby Doo cartoons kept on reusing animation clips. And how the story is repetitive and makes me ask, "Why do all criminals like to dress up as ghosts and monsters from myths to scare people away so they can commit their crimes?"

But still, as a young adult I still find the cartoons funny and entertaining.
