I felt like making a topic about TV comedies because I love them but don't think I ever saw a topic here for them.

One thing I love about comedies, is that... everyone likes comedies. Who DOESN'T love to laugh.

I have some sort of comedy on everyday, whether I'm sat watching telly or have it on in the background while I'm doing something else.

So, what comedies do you like? Which ones do you not like? Are there any you like the look of but just haven't got round to watching yet?

Spoiler: I love (long list but hopefully this is everything)
- Alan Partridge (any of his shows)
- A Bit of Fry & Laurie
- American Dad
- Blackadder
- Bottom
- Brass Eye
- Catterick
- The Day Today
- Family Guy
- Father Ted
- Fawlty Towers
- Friends
- Garth Marenghi's Dark
- Gimme Gimme Gimme
- Harry Enfield and Chums
- The IT Crowd
- Laurel & Hardy
- The League of Gentlemen
- Men Behaving Badly
- Mock the Week
- The Office
- Porridge
- Red Dwarf
- Shooting Stars
- South Park
- Spaced
- That Mitchell & Webb Look
- The Two Ronnies
- The Vicar of Dibley
- Wonder Showzen
- The Young Ones

Spoiler: I don't particularly like
- 2 Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps
- Big Bang Theory
- How I Met Your Mother
- Miranda
- Not Going Out
- Will & Grace

Spoiler: I want to see:
- The Inbetweeners
- The Thick of It

It's hard to choose an absolute favourite because I usually just get obsessed with one at a time and end up wearing it out.

So come on, tell me yours!

Gonna be the hip one here and say that I enjoy The Cosby Show. I fit in with society.
On April 3, 2016, Court Records Forums experienced a miracle upon that day.

I meant to put this in my list of ones I don't like. Saw it once and thought it was about as funny as a migraine.

If you haven't already seen it, you should watch Father Ted, one of the writers of it wrote The IT Crowd. I think he also wrote a bit of Brass Eye which was amazing.

I love Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Miranda and The Inbetweeners.

I don't like How I met your mother and 2 Broke Girls. I agree that they are trying to hard on 2 Broke Girls - it's just not funny.

Parks and Recreation, Modern Family, and Arrested Development are all you need for TV Comedy.

That being said, Community, American Dad, 30 Rock, The Office, Better Off Ted, How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs, and The Big Bang Theory are all excellent.

Family Guy is stupid drivel, and Two Broke Girls is PAINFULLY stupid drivel, and bad acting, and horrid writing.

Arrested Development
Seinfeld
Frasier
Community
30 Rock
Curb Your Enthusiasm (Early Seasons. Later Seasons not so much)
Flight of the Conchords
The Dick Van Dyke Show
Boston Legal
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

I see that looby also likes Bottom and The Young Ones, which is pretty dang cool.

From what I've seen, Big Bang Theory is also funny. These three shows are the only ones I'm at least familiar enough with to judge, unfortunately.
