This will be a discussion on all things Kill La Kill related so discuss to your hearts content.

I only have one rule and that is to make sure anything that is considered a spoiler to have it placed under a spoiler tag.

Have fun and enjoy. "Dont Lose your way" ^_^

Mod Edit: Don't change the title back again. Ever consider it might be misleading to people who don't know what you're talking about?

Especially when
Spoiler: Ep. 23 and the end of Gurren Lagann
the Elite Four got their final Goku forms which was akin to the members of Dai Gurren getting their own goddamn Tengan Toppa variants of their gunmen in the second movie (only reason to watch the movie).

Why would you quit Gurren Lagann but be fine with Kill la Kill? Less boobs, but more giant robots and crazy.

I personally didn't see Gurren Lagann since I'm not a fan of giant robots except for Neon Genesis and Big O.

I couldn't get into Gurren Lagann. I tried to, but it wasn't for me. I prefer Kill la Kill.

Post subject:  Re: Kill La Kill

Yeah that's pretty wrong, it should come to around $45-$50, which is about average for figmas.

Ehh. I'd rather own me a Mako figma dammit! I opted to go to BIJ for Ryuko since it was waaayyyy cheaper than what GSC's asking for (plus shipping), and I think paying $70 bucks just for that cutout is a little ridiculous (though I have done crazier things).

And I'm so glad Trigger didn't pull a Gainax ending on me. KLK's definitely a new favorite for me, and probably a good contender with Gurren Lagann.

$70 is really not that bad for a figure like that. I've spend $100 on a Marco figure a while back. The One figure I really wish they would make already is Satuski wearing her Junketsu godrobe

$70 for a Figma is pretty pricey (considering it's a 5-6in action figure depending on the character) when you can easily get it for $40 on a site that doesn't offer the stupid Mako cutout. Not sure when Satsuki's stuff will be updated though. I'll give it a good "eventually" or maybe next Wonder Fes.

True you have a point there. I can only hope that they announce the Satsuki figure at Wonder Fes. I got hope that it will come out after I saw those pics a while ago on tumblr.

Ehh... On one hand, yay, extra episode.

On the other, I'm going to have to wait at least six months to see it and Aniplex has the most ridiculously overpriced English releases ever.

I have a feeling it might be $40 like any usual anime blu-ray dvd.

Post subject:  Re: Nudist Beach

$40 for a couple episodes isn't "usual" in the United States anymore, though. Most new releases I see are 6-7 episodes for around $30, or a half season (12-13 episodes) box set for $60-$70.

After checking, it seems like their prices are down a little from what they were, but they're still above the norm. The Madoka DVDs still retail for $40 for four episodes, which is high, and you can't even get Gurren Lagann on DVD unless you buy the limited edition which runs $175 and doesn't include the movies (god help you if you wanted it on Blu-Ray, $700!!).

Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely planning to get KlK when we get a physical release. I'm just worried it's going to force me into a Gumshoe diet.

I'm not used to buying anime dvd's since I usually just watch episodes online plus im too broke ass to spend money on them haha. That said i'll definitely make a exception for KLK when it comes out in my near anime store. What's so special about the limited edition of Gurren Lagann that it is worth $170? and I definitely wouldn't spend god damn $700 for any reason on dvd's xD

It has two OST CDs and an artbook.

Which is nice, but when you can still find the Bandai DVDs for like $5 a pop... :yogi:

If I liked Gurren Lagann I would have gotten those Bandai DvD and just find the limited edition stuff seperate online. #SmartestIdeaEverr :hotti:
