Trial: FR-08 (Turnabout Essay)

Crime: Murder

Description: A man was found dead in his house. A pencil was skewered in his eye. His daughter, Alicia Clantes, was found in the crime scene with her hands and clothes covered with the victim's blood.

Victim Data: Alfonso Clantes (age 44) - Was a professional writer. Helped the defendant make an essay on that day of the murder.

Suspect Data: Alicia Clantes (age 13) - An amateur writer. Writing an essay with the help of the victim on the day of the murder.

Reason for Suspicion: Blood covered in her clothing and palm. Random lines written on a paper; assumed signs of frustration. Holds a grudge on the victim.

Evidence:

-Autopsy Report: Alfonso Clantes. Murdered 3/30. Time of death: 9:55am. Cause of death: Instant death by stabbing a pencil into the victim's eye.
-Bloodied Pencil: The murder weapon. There's blood all over the pencil. Was on the table after the murder. Has the victim's and the defendant's fingerprints.
-Handkerchief: A plain handkerchief with blood stains. Used by the defendant to cover the eyes of the victim. Apparently, it was the victim's property. Has the victim's and the defendant's fingerprints.
-Paper: A paper with rough lines. Believed to be signs of frustration.

My old trial wasn't able to be finished, which was sad, but I've put together a new trial and am submitting it here for approval.

Crime: Murder, Burglary

Case Description: A woman was found dead in her beach house. Initial investigation reveals that this was definitely murder. The victim's lover is arraigned on charges.

Victim Data: Catherine Richards (age 46) - Rich attractive older woman who liked to date young men. Often had several flings going at the same time.

Suspect Data: Kenny Stevens (age 22) - Beach lifeguard. Had been dating the victim for about 1 week.

Reason for suspicion: Physical data at the scene of the crime place him there, and not any others.

Evidence

Catherine's autopsy report:
Cause of Death: Single stab wound to jugular vein
Time of Death: 11:00PM-12:00AM
Other: Victim had consumed copious amounts of tequila prior to death. No signs of struggle.

Ornamental Dagger: Belonged to victim, hanging on the wall in her house. Found in victim's neck, wiped clean of fingerprints.

Hair Samples: Found in victim's bed. Only matched defendant and victim.

Investigation Report: Report called by live-in maid when she arrived at 3PM. No signs of forced entry. House was in remarkable order except for victim's purse. Credit cards and wallet not found with purse.

Kenny's Cap: Belonged to defendant. Custom-made baseball cap. Found in victim's house.

Melinda Riveria (Age 23) - Dating Evan St. Claire. New to the area, not familiar with the suspects. Claims to have been bartending the night of the bonfire, a statement corroborated by her boyfriend.

Dr. Selena Flye, 27: A postdoc in the lab of her father, Martin Flye. Worked closely with the defendant on multiple projects.

WITNESSES:

Dr. Oscar Sophilist, 28: The defendant, a postdoc in the Flye Lab. Accused of poisoning Dr. Selena Flye with capulettin.

Professor Martin Flye, 65: An expert in fly metabolism. Head of the Flye Lab.

Elaine Madari, 21: An undergraduate working in the Flye Lab. May have seen Dr. Sophilist tampering with Dr. Flye's coffee.

Description: A women was found dead in her apartment on the 5th floor of a building. The Victim died of suffocation.

Victim Data: Michelle Walker(age 24) - Worked as a bar maid. Apparently was well liked and easy to get along with. Found dead in her living room. looks like she was strangled. The only other noticeable thing that could be seen was that there was brusing on the victims chest.

Suspect Data: Richard McEwan(age 30) - Barman of the bar she worked at and Boyfriend/roomate. Was pulled in due to a neighbour witnessing him leaving the day of the murder.

Reason for Suspicion: At the scene of the crime. They had an arguement earlier on and there was brusing around the victims neck.

Witnesses:

Harry Bradford: Neighbour of the victim. Apparently he witnessed the defendant at the victims apartment the day of the murder.

More witnesses will be revealed throught the case.


Evidence:

-Autopsy Report: Michelle Walker. Murdered 6/10. Time of death: 8:15pm. Cause of death: Suffocation with signs of strangulation athough the marks don't look suviere. There was signs of brusing on the chest with resemblence to the defendants shoe print.
-Revolver: Found in the desk drawer in the victims apartment. The victims prints are on the gun and only one bullet has been fired.
-Newspaper clipping: Dated back to 3 years ago. Main story is about a murderer being found guilty.
-Passport: The victims picture is in it but the name is Fiona Tyler. (Records are yet to be found on this name)

Crime Scene Photo: A picture of the Accused, however it was torn in a struggle when the accused try to escape, the photo shows the accused leaving the victims room but does not show his face.Crime Scene Photo 2: Shows the victim lying in her bed. With a cloth scrap next to her face.

Motive: Accused and Victim were madly in love. The victim was accused of cheating on the accused, and known for a short temper, the accused snapped and killed her for her infidelity. The two witnesses (Clarice’s Roommates) were home at the time and heard a scream and something breaking, then the Accused ran out of the victims room.

“I know that voice!” The subtitles over the stage read, translating Andrei’s Russian. “Is this fugitive a friend or foe?” Andrei saw that the man was none other than Mazeppa. His face contorted into an effigy of hatred. “What! You, you, Mazeppa!... Destroyer of sacred innocence, do you now recognize the dwelling and the home, the happy home that used to be, where now there is total gloom and desolation? Do you recognize the safe and sheltered abode where the angel of peace used to live, and the garden, where you would go at dead of night to meet her?”

“I recognized it!” Mazeppa responded. “Why do you reproach me so violently and angrily? What, Andrei, do you want from me?”

“What do I want? I want your death! In bloody battle, burning with a desire for vengeance, I sought you everywhere, Mazeppa, you must die, your hour has come!”

“Andrei, respect my grey hair!”

“Oh, you traitor, you preying vulture!”

“Show respect for my misfortune!”

“You despicable, loathsome old man!”

“But if you raise your hand against me, know that I am not unarmed!”

“You destroyer of sacred innocence!”

The young soldier and the old officer then sang together.

“—Seducer of a pure darling!
—Andrei, respect my grey hair,
—Curse the day, curse the hour,
—show respect for my misfortune,
—when you took her from us!
—respect my grey hair.
—You shall answer for your crime,
—But if you raise your hand against me,
—I will strike you down without compunction,

Andrei drew his sword and ran at the man who had robbed him of the love of his life. Mazeppa drew his own sword and countered every blow. The clanging of cold steel rang throughout the audience as they watched. With his free hand, Mazeppa took out a handgun and fired.

BANG!

Andrei collapsed to the ground, clutching his wound, blood seeping out from between his fingers.

“You sad man!” Mazeppa said regretfully. “God knows, I did not wish for your destruction!”

“You shot me for real!” Andrei yelled in English, loud enough for the audience and orchestra to hear.

The orchestra stopped as the audience gasped and started jeering uproariously at Mazeppa. Mazeppa sunk to his knees in shock and despair. It was no longer a performance. A man had shot his fellow performer in front of hundreds of people.

I'm not sure if this is legal, but since a certain someone is quite fond of calling prosecutor before I'll probably have a chance to, I'd like to request i be the prosecutor for one of these cases. I know it's ahead of time, but still. I have a job during the weekdays, and I'm not always on. If a case was approved and prosecutor was claimed before I got home from work, I'd be so... angry.
I've read the rules. I'd like to request, specifically (not claim, so it's still up for grabs...) that I be prosecutor for PT-7 Tsar of Turnabouts. As it seems very interesting, lol. But that's up to you mods, and whatnot, I suppose. Even though technically, from reading that one guy's post, he'll be on holiday until the 18th, which judging from teh post date I assume he meant August. So it'll be 15 days before that case gets reviewed... I hope it goes through, and that I get my wish.

Well, if you're going to request being the prosecutor, I'm gonna request being the defense attorney for that case. I've always wanted to be one since I discovered the trials here.

Well, I'm only doing it because if I were accepted, it would be my first case as a prosecutor here on these forums. And everyone loves a rookie! But still, i'm still leaving it up to the person who created it anyway, and the mods, to be fair. I'm just stating my interest in that case, if it gets approved. I'm not necessarily calling dibs. No, wait. That's not right. It's more like I'm just being desperate...
