Xero breathed a sigh of relief, but also wondered what happened to Thomas and Jake. As he saw Jenna and Quin enter, he quickly said, "I know where we need to go next - Fort Cascodia. We leave as soon as the princess is ready." He then sat down, wondering if waiting was the best option right now.

"And yet they were able to hold off Larcenia? Besides, if I hadn't try to step out on my own, I would have never been chased by those soldiers into the throne room."
"Luck. Pure Luck." Tutted Sakura.
Chelsea sighed as she stepped up.
"Perhaps, but it was interesting to evaluate their skills. This should be fun!" Chelsea giggled as she stepped into the closet.

Xero continued to sit in the throne room, but decided to get up and tour the place a bit. After all, there were no more attacks going on at the moment, so why not? He checked out all the old-fashioned rooms, the remodelled rooms, the storerooms, and other things to pass the time, and finally came back into the Throne Room, giving off a low whistle. "Nice place."

No one knew where he was...Not even Thomas himself knew where he was. The last thing he had remembered was that he was fighting with the princess and the next thing he remembered was that he was bleeding on the ground. Thomas started to cough. Then he felt disgraced because he felt he couldn't even do the simplest task handed to him.

What is a knight who cant even protect their kingdom or the people that seek help. I have disgraced my honor, my kingdom, the princess, and my comrades. I do not deserve to live on...but I must. I must atone for the wrong doings I have done.

Luckily he had remembered the elixir he had stashed away and used it. He felt his strength returning to normal. Now all he had to do was find the castle again. As he wandered for hours he had been starving. Hope brought his strength back as he saw the castle and started to head towards it.

What in the hell am I going to tell everyone? They probably think I abandoned them.

Thomas frowned but continued to head on nonetheless. He walked in and opened the castle door. He tried to keep things to himself as he walked through the castle...but everyone glared at him on the spot as he walked to the throne room

(Sorry but I had to leave the computer. I had to go to bed :( I have classes...)

Xero looked over at Thomas. "What happened? Where did you go? I had been calling for you for who knows how long on the battlefield, worried about the Princess, then I go in and see her being attacked by the Larcenian guards, but I couldn't find you anywhere." He didn't sound angry; he sounded genuinely worried.

Thomas sighed and then looked away.

"I...I...all I can remember is that we were being attacked. I mustve gotten struck from behind because I had a severe wound and I was laying down... I must've fallen unconsious. I failed so miserably I should just give up my title of knight... I can't believe you guys arent mad as hornets at me. Oh and the next time I see that ranger I have to thank her for saving my life. I really owe her one. How has everything been going and how is her highness doing?"

(I have to be in class in 30 minutes and after that class I have 2 hours then another class then Ill be home around 4 PM my time)

"Her Highness is fine," said Xero. "I took care of the soldiers that tried to capture her, but our next destination is Fort Cascodia. We're going to take that base out, and learn what their plan is. All that's left at the moment is to wait for the princess to be ready to go, and we're off."

Thomas starts to polish off his lance as he and Xero wait for the princess so they could travel to their next destination. Then he started to chuckle. He did so because he knew how long women could take getting ready for a long trip ahead.

"Wait just a minute!" Sakura walked down the steps and rounded on Xero.
"You soldiers failed in your honours as knights, it's despicable! What would your Majesty, King Lyon say? I have half a mind to pursuade her highness to end the alliance between our countries!" She swelled, angrily.
"And I can assure you that she will NOT BE coming with you to the Fort, if I have my way!"

I guarded the castle until the monsters came as well. You cannot expect someone to be perfect." He rose an eyebrow. "I would never let the Princess or my comrades die, but you speak to me as if you thought I was going to let someone die."

Chelsea was there, but in different clothes. She was wearing a complete mage etire.
"Oh no! You are not wearing your disguise again, young lady!" Sakura crossed her arms.
"Grandmother, I have had it up to here with your bossiness and coldness! These men saved our country and you are treating them like cattle!"
"H-how dare you! You are an ungrateful brat! Remember how I stood for you, as you lay ill in bed four winters ago?!"
"I thank you, grandmother, I have always respected you but ever since Larcenia have tried to invad-"
"That is because the time of way is upon us and I am against those who are pitiful in war! You need better knights then these boys! I knew we should have sent for help to Moltalir or Saskia."
"Enough. You know full well Arsenia had the best chance of helping us. Now, I shall assist these people, whenever you like it or not."
Chelsea walked out of the throne room, turning to the others.
"I'll be waiting by the gate."

Xero bowed to the princess, then bowed to Sakura. "I take my leave, then." He walked to the gate, making sure Thomas was following him. He quickly added, "It wasn't your fault that you got attacked. We all have our weak moments. Remember how I stupidly got shot with an arrow? That was my first mistake. I'm trying not to overuse my speed because my endurance is too little, but you know as well as I do that I'll make a mistake eventually."

He got to the gate, and addressed the princess. "Are you truly ready to go, Your Highness? It's a long walk to Fort Cascadia..."

(And I must leave as well for now. Breakfast, errands, back in about an hour or two)

They walked for a few minutes across the grassy meadows, flowers here and there.
"I...must apologise for my grandmother. She despises war...my grandfather was killed in the Larcenia War by some mercinaries. She blames the men he took with him, claming they were weak. It is an old pain..." She paused as Fort Cascodia came into view.

"So...uh how big is this fort anyway?" Thomas curiously asked as he followed. He picked up his lance and walked along the road with his comrades still feeling the guilt that haunted him.

Why do I get this strange feeling all of a sudden? Like something bad is going to happen once we reach the fort...

Xero kept his hand on his sword hilt, ready for when the Larcenians pop out, and of course, when they got close enough, one of them rode out on a horse. "What do you want with us?" said the man. "If you value your lives, you will turn around and walk away!"

Yes, sometimes when it came to people being pushed around Thomas would always stand firm for people even if he put his foot in his mouth a lot. He held his lance ready in case of an attack from the mounted soldier.

No monsters came this time; the only souls that came out were 10, no, 20 Larcenian Soldiers.

"Are you sure you want to be so cocky like that?" asked the man teasingly. "I'm pretty sure we can take you lot down pretty easily..."

Chelsea raised her hand to the air.
"Shut your eyes!" She yelled to Xero and the others.
A bright light lit the area, the Larcenia soldiers were blinded, struggling to move and attack.
"Quick, take as many as you can out, now!" She fired three fireballs at some calivers.

"I guess it's time we have some more fun eh Xero?" Thomas chuckled as he drew his lance. "You Larcenian soldiers will be nothing except the new dirt beneath our feet."

Thomas thrust his lance into one of the soldier's chests then pulled it out swiftly starting to complain.

"Aw cmon....I just had this polished... *sigh* I guess its worth it!"

As he started to disperse a soldier armed with an ax ambushed him.

"Aw man come on! This isnt my day..." Thomas moaned as he raised his shield.

The axmans axe split Thomas's lance in two making it unusable.

"Heh..! Nice!" Xero quickly dashed to the side and started slashing the soldiers. The cavalier shielded his eyes, however, and reared his horse, charging right for Chelsea. Xero took his chance and slid to the side, piercing his sword into the man's arm. The man fell off, and the horse ran away, scared.

The man got up and took out his sword. "I'll... kill you for that..." And he advanced on Xero.

(Also, she DID go first - at the end of her post, she threw out fireballs. XD)

Chelsea was dodging a mythidorian's sword thursts, again and again...
"You can't dance forever, girly!" He chuckled as he slashed this time.
Chelsea ducked and threw a fireball, right in the face.
"Tee hee! This is fun!" She spoke as a knight advanced to her.

Thomas soon became on the defensive with the axe wielding soldier.

More guards poured out of the Fort. "Looks like their leader is still in there," commented Xero. "Oh well, more fun for us!"

He quickly diced through a line of them, leaving the rest for Chelsea and Thomas.

"Good thing I brought some spare lances..." Thomas smiled as he dodged the axe. "Why dont you take a dirt nap!?" he yelled as he smacked the soldier with the blunt end of his lance. "Thanks for the fun but I gotta run!" He mocked as he ran towards the other soldiers.

Jenna tore the troops with her blade. Seeing Thomas struggling, she took down two mages in front of her and made her way over. As she took dow the axefighter she grinned at him and said, "Swords beat axes kid, let me handle this guy!"

"Hey! I never got to thank you for saving my life." Thomas greeted as he stabbed another soldier. He was then surrounded by about 5 soldiers.
"HAH! You want some of my lance huh eat this!" Thomas shouted as he spun his lance knocking all of the surrounding soldiers unconscious. He started looking around for any signs of Xero or her highness.

Xero was helping Chelsea drive off the force, but saw a glint of something. "Watch out!" He saw an arrow be shot, but he wasn't stupid; this time he ran up and deflected the arrow with his sword. "Oh yeah, you're gonna get it now!" He ran directly at the archer, completely disappearing from sight. In no time, the archer spewed blood and fell, Xero standing beside him as he sheathed his sword. "Oh, yeah." He grinned. "Chalk up another one for-- WHOA!" He was grabbed and forced inside the fort.

Besides, it's fun fighting all of these guys!" Chelsea giggled as the knight knocked down, this time from a thunder spell. She paused for a bit, she was feeling the weakness of the light spell she had used.
Then, she saw Xero forced into the fort.
"Xero!" She ran over, but was suddenly knocked back by the hilt of a lance.

Jenna looked around before being bombarded by enemies again, "It's not fun for me, Princess, this is my job. This is only a sample here, I'm not going full blast 'til you pay me." Looking around, she jabbed her blade into a mymidon's chest, "You hope he's alright?! We'd better go in and save his greenhorn ass!!!" Jenna bounded over the corpses on the field killing enemies as she head headed over to the castle.
