Arxane suddenly perked up. He thought he heard the words "mysterious intruder". Two words synonymous with "break-in". He couldn't help but chuckle to himself.

Maybe this would be his chance to do some extra work. Investigating was his passion. He had to get in on this. He shoved his hands in his pocket and walked over to where Clarke was sitting.

"What's this I hear about a mysterious intruder?" he asked, barely able to contain himself. "Was there a break-in somewhere nearby?"

(HM~ I only hadda add "bar" to the end so that people knew it was a bar and not some wacked-out RP about a dragon. The bar's just "The Platinum Dragon." ;3 I swear I wasn't trying to copy you, but I saw yours was ending up more like a story than a hangout, so... well... >.> Um, sorry about your business. ^^;; )

Kit nodded at Vincent. "Yup, that's Jessie. She's the cook, but," she looked over her shoulder to make sure that the door wasn't open. "She's not the greatest cook. Makes great fries, but that's about it." She chuckled. "She's single, too. But I don't think any man with a working brain would deal with her. Crazy. Pushy, too." She glanced over her shoulder again. "Nice if you don't piss her off, but yeah. Definately crazy."

She paused, hearing Cheryl's request, and turned to the redhead. "You know, if you're looking for a temporary room, I've got a friend that runs a B & B just down the street. If you want something more permanent, even," Kit sighed. "we're looking for renters for the extra apartment upstairs, if you don't mind the noise." She gnawed her lower lip. "It's being used for storage right now, but I think there's enough room in the other one we can move that stuff out, do a quick dusting, and be good to go in less than a week." She nodded, satisfied that she had sufficiently advertised for both herself and the Elysian Fields Bed and Breakfast.

Yi-Wen stepped into the bar, blinked behind his sunglasses, stepped outside and looked up at the sign, then shook his head, ran a hand through his short black hair, and walked back into the tiny bar, ordering a strong shot of some sort from the bartender. The young attorney sat down at an available seat next to a young woman in a strangely... frilly... outfit, and sipped his shot glass, making a face.

"Shui tu bu fu," he said with a shrug.

Linali smiled in relief at the fact that he did in fact speak english, and saluted with her right hand, as if it were some kind of strange but necessary reflex. Upon realising that she'd made the bizarre gesture, she quickly dropped her hand, embarassed by her own action, before continuing.

"As frighteningly cliche as it sounds," Yi-Wen said with a short laugh, swirling the alcohol in his shot glass around before downing the rest quickly in one go, "I must ask: what's a girl like you doing in a place like this?"

Linali's pale skin turned a vibrant shade of scarlet, and she attempted to use her hair as a curtain to hide herself from the rest of the world.
"... I was making my way back to the prosecutor's office and I... Well... Got lost... I was thirsty after going around in circles so many times so I... Came in here."
She concluded, feeling very self concious. Her glass of chardonnay had suddenly become very, very interesting.

The girl looked at him, this man...he seemed very creepy to her, she had never drank in her life...she was too young to drink at that. She took the bottle in her hand and looked at it. "T-Thank you..." she parched, but this was a moral decision. "...I...uh....I'm...s-sorry...I...don't..drink alchohol..." she went to hand him the bottle back. Lycos' ears flicked forward as he heard mention of the prosecutor's office. He almost seemed to teleport from one end of the bar to the other, ending up in an empty chair at the table Linali and Yi-Wen were at and smiled. "It's actually not that far from here." He said, smiling a bit as he realized that he left his bottle back at the black-jack game. "Just walk left from here, go down three and a half blocks and it'll be across the street from you." with that said, he went back to where he left his drink and emptied the bottle.

Linali looked up at Yi-Wen for a moment, judging him, pondering whether he would mock her for the next comment, laugh, or not be affected at all. She seemed satisfied, however, and returned to fingering the wine glass.
"... Actor I suppose... In a show aimed at teenagers and such... But it's not been aired yet!"
She added rapidly, eyes wide, as if she were terribly afraid of being scrutinized.
"... I've never really been much of an actor either, but it's really important to me that this goes well."
Linali seemed to be in a small dreamlike state for a moment, before dismising any lingering thoughts with a brisk wave of her left hand brightly.
"Anyway, enough about me, what about yourself sir?"

He lifted his glass to her, inclining his head in a bow. "My congratulations. It's a tough career... or so I'm told. That you're already having such a chance? Well, I bet many would envy you." For a second, he seemed to be sizing her up. "What's the plot of this show? Or the genre, really?"

Yi-Wen chuckled to himself, sipping his scotch as he sat back. "I'm an attorney--that's my actual job, not something on the side like you. When I'm not doing that, though... I teach. Hardly the glamorous life of an actor, I'm afraid."

Linali muttered quietly, tapping a finger on her bottom lip as she thought.
"I'm not allowed to say much, but the show is following the popular samurai trend... Global studios, and all that.... But anyway!"
She spoke quite forcefully, almost in excitement.
"D-Do you get to bang the desk and things like that?! And... Yell objection!"
It all came out as a bit of a jumble in her apparent enthusiasm, and she smiled widely, obviously trying to steer the topic back to him. However, she was genuinely interested, even if it was overshadowed by the fact that she did definetly NOT want to talk about herself any longer.

The attorney laughed good-naturely, nodding to himself. "Samurai, eh? I used to watch a few of those." There was a strangely curious glint in his dark eyes as he cocked an eyebrow. "I don't suppose you'd end up doing your own stunts? I do have a bit of interest in Wushu film myself..."

That said, he sipped his glass once more, running a hand through his short black hair. "I do indeed. 'Fan Dui' in Chinese, actually. It's... an interesting job, sometimes. But I'm sure you know all about this, what with your part-time employment on the side."

Linali smiled still, seeming to be a lot more confident than the shy girl that had entered the bar before. She pulled a terribly small phone out of her bag, that in itself seemed normal enough, but was covered with many different phone charms. One particular one that was larger than the rest, however, was a lucky cat figure complete with working bell. It tinkled lightly as she turned off the keypad lock, and she sat in silence for a moment, scanning the message she had just recieved. In one fatal swoop, her gained confidense seemed to melt away as she shrank back in the chair, looking horrified, the words 'WHERE ARE MY FILES' glaring back at her.

Linali muttered quietly, looking very guilty as her eyes flickered to a brown envelope present in her currently open bag. She was about to switch off the phone nervously before it sprang into a tinkly version of the nickel samurai theme tune, vibrating in her hand.

Looking at the phone as if it were about to explode, Linali looked at Yi-Wen for a moment, as if he would somehow be able to make it magically stop using Gong Fu powers. When she realised it wasn't going to happen, she pressed the call button and placed the small annoyance to her ear.
"... Moshi moshi?"
