In the ballroom, Sylvester nodded, closing the lid of the grand piano. With the flick of a switch, a contraption lowered itself from the ceiling and snuffed out the lights of the chandelier. Sylvester continued speaking as he moved across and out of the room, shutting the double doors behind him. "Very well, alert Migoto to this. We can be prepared to strike at any given moment. But first, we troll them."

Chase put a hand on her hip. "I kinda like the romantic stuff," he mused.

Meanwhile, the monk crept swiftly through the forest towards the big tree in the middle. He yelled out, as if to the whole village, "Guys! Monster truck rally tonight! Let's go!"

Chase gasped. "Dude! We have to go to that!" He hopped off the bed. "I'm gonna go. Later!" he shouted behind him, sprinting out the door. He loved monster trucks more than he loved milk. And that was saying something.

Affixed was a note from Gary, explaining that he was bored so he took one. "When Migoto sees 'Chase' cheating on her, we have her punch him. Very hard. And I'll have Essa watching. When we've had our fun, she'll shoot him in the other leg. You're welcome to help, Mr. Flint."

Grant emerged from the bathroom with black hair. He was practically the spitting image of Chase. "Whaddya think? Now I'm gonna go find a broad. Where's Kim?" he asked the monks. Quin Dao looked at his phone. "They will meet you a few streets down from the Rally. Chase is going down that way," he reported. Grant nodded. "Ok, I'm outta here. I'll call you when we split up those lovebirds." He sprinted out the door and headed to the rendezvous point.

Chase was practically flying. He found a motorcycle in a parking lot and was driving recklessly through the streets to the rally.

Grant, on the other hand, snuck from alley to alley. He hoped that Migoto could track where Chase was going, although there was little chance that she would be going any other way. He found his monk and a very slutty looking girl named Becky in an alley on Washington Street. He let the monk go and kept an eye out for Migoto. "So, when do I get payed?" Becky asked, but Grant ignored her.

Mercer's ears prickled when he heard the announcement of the rally. He packed his rifle back into his briefcase and shoved his Beretta into the holster on his hip. He could smell the stench of a setup. Mercer slid into the group of Sherwoods heading out to the Rally.

As he walked, he noticed Migoto making her way along the trail as well. Mercer spit off from the group and approached her. "Miss Migoto," He called to her, "I need to talk to you for a minute."

Grant looked up to see if Migoto saw them. He grunted and stopped kissing Becky. "What's going on?" she said, but Grant yelled out, in Chase's usual hyper voice, "Man, Becky! You are a great kisser!" He went back to what he was doing.

"I've got a bad feeling about this rally," Mercer began. From the corner of his eye, he saw what looked like Chase french kissing a street whore. Mercer decided it would be best not to mention it to Miss Migoto. "It's announcement was way to sudden; something feels off." He rummaged in his pocket and pulled out an earpiece. "I want you to wear this so I can talk to you. I'm going to follow you and Chase and keep my eye out for trouble. I'll let you know if I see anything suspicious." He patted his briefcase. "I'm well-equipped for dealing with anything that may come up."

Mercer slipped the earpiece back into his pocket. Looked like the setup, if there was one, had just been sprung. He popped the button off of his holster, just in case.

Mercer opened his briefcase and pulled out a bullet with a rounded tip that had a dull red shine. "See this?" He told her, "this here is a pepper bullet. It'll turn into a mist on impact, and acts like tear gas when inhaled, for nonlethal incapacitation of your target." He pulled out his Beretta and loaded the bullet into the chamber. "shoot it directly at the center of your target's torso for maximum effect." He flipped the gun around and presented the handle to Migoto. "I think you may want this. Be careful though, that's the only round like that I've got so don't waste it. Cost me a pretty penny too."

Grant got a bad feeling. He heard no crying, no yelling. They were on to him. He counted a few seconds, then bolted into an alleyway. He cursed himself. What had gone wrong? He didn't care. All he thought about was escape.

Meanwhile, Chase was enjoying the rally immensely, yelling with the crowd as the trucks flew through the air. "This is awesome!" he shouted.

Grant looked up to see if he was being followed. He groaned when he saw Migoto running along telephone wires in chase. Heh. Chase. He jumped up onto a fire escape and scrambled up onto the roof of a building to wait for her. He couldn't escape just yet; but maybe he could knock her out in a fight.

Mercer snapped into action behind Migoto. He probably had wasted too much time talking. Case in hand, he vaulted over a low wall and chased after 'Chase'. He pulled out the shoulder strap on his case, and slung it over his shoulder to free his hands. Then he took the pepper bullet out of his pocket and slammed it back into his Beretta. If that really was his new boss, Mercer could apologize after Chase regained his ability to talk and breathe. But if it wasn't, he may have just earned the trust of some skilled individuals.

((I hate to leave in the middle of a dramatic scene, but my brother went to bed two hours ago, and he's getting pissed at me now. I'll be back tomorrow.))

Grant smirked. "Maybe. But that ain't happening today." He whistled and five monks jumped onto the roof, surrounding Migoto and assuming their stances. "Have fun with your new playmates, honey. And make sure to tell Chase he's a douche for me," he said with a wink, leaping off the roof and running away, cackling with glee.

The Bear stance monk looked at the Monkey stance monk and they nodded. The bear lunged forward with a piercing strike, while the Monkey leaped up and attacked her upper body with a flying kick.

Meanwhile, Chase had finished with the rally and stepped outside, sighing contentedly. Strange, he thought Migoto would be there as well. Whatever, he decided. Maybe she just got Girl ADD and did something else.

Migoto used her karate blocks to defend herself. Then, she took the opening in the circle by cartwheeling through and running off. If they wanted her, they had to catch her.

Sylvester was driving in the Mito at an alarming speed, though looked completely unconcerned. Before he could arrive, he saw five monks on a distant rooftop, combating a familar-looking blonde girl in purple.

Monks? Tibetan monks? Wait. Monks. Tibet. Grant!

He came to a sudden stop, swerving onto the 'sidewalk' and jumping up onto his car, leaping to a flagpole jutting out from the first floor and swinging to a window ledge. He clambered up onto the large ledge, before opening the window. The interior of this office, he noticed as he clambered through, smelled of violets. Sylvester began moving towards a nearby set of stairs, running up several sets, finally stopping at the roof. He opened the exit, finding himself face to face with the aforementioned violet plantation. And Grant was shouting. Something. Sylvester saw him below the building and yelled out: "Markus!", taking care not to be seen by the individual beneath him.

That woman was fast. She had already caught up to 'Chase' and had fallen into his trap by the time Mercer had reached the foot of the building. "A little help please..?" Migoto's voice came through Mercer's earpiece. "Hang on!" he barked, "I'm on route. Try not to die, yeah?"

Mercer sprinted to the fire escape and forwent the stairs, clambering up directly up the side like a ladder. As he reached the top he grabbed a loose part of the railing and tore it free. Now armed with a melee weapon, he charged into the group of monks beginning to chase after Migoto. He rammed his shoulder into the side of the Bear stance monk in the lead, knocking him away to the side. Mercer swung his piece of railing at the crane stance monk and connected with the side of his head with a resounding THWANG. He put himself between Migoto and the monks and pulled his Beretta out of it's holster. It only had the single pepper bullet loaded, but the monks didn't need to know that.

"Let me make something clear," he said to the monks, his voice low with malice. "I am prepared to kill if you try to pass me. Are you willing to die for your boss?"
