"Now let's get around to round 4!! After that, there will be a short break... and then everything will resume." Komugi said with a smirk, "RYGAR! SHRUM! It's time for your match!"

Rygar turned to Shrum and nodded, "It's our turn... Are you ready? Let's get going..." With that, Rygar headed out to the middle of the arena.

Kory sat down and watched as Rygar headed to the arena. He couldn't wait to watch them fight since he wanted to know as much about his possible future opponents as he could. If he would get that far. Kory was lucky Dan was so easy to beat. He was sure he wouldn't be so lucky for the next round.

Hubris got pen and paper out of his pocket and got ready to jot some notes down on both fighters. This was it-- one of these two would face him, so he had to be ready. He also noticed Kory nearby.

"Great match, dude, using that guy's injury against him. Clever stuff." He said, with a friendly wave with his free hand.

"Thank you," Kory said. He was pretty clever, but he never fought his hardest throughout that whole fight. After seeing the other two, he felt the fight with Dan was almost a let down. "And who are you, kind sir?"

"Finally." Shrum jumped into the arena, drew his cross and took a stance. "Now then...Rygar was it? Prepare yourself for a challenge. Good luck, and may the better man win!"
With that he charged towards Rygar faster than a tiger. His blue eyes contrasting with his black cloak giving an ominous, and powerful effect to the man.

Atonement Shrum yelled.

Then took a powerful swing at Rygar...

He just sat there cross-legged, wondering when all these fights would end so he could fight Sakuya. These were boring him and boredom annoyed him tons.

However, Rygar rose up his diskarmor, blocking the attack... sparks flew as the weapons met! "You'll have to do better than that to beat me," Rygar then said as he swung the diskarmor out at Shrum. He then followed with several more expert swings with his weapon, and it had a very good reach too... obviously, Rygar is very skilled at wielding the diskarmor, as the experience he gained in his quest to save Argus proved...

"Relax..." Sayuka then said to Orochi, "If you thought Reiji was worth your while... wait until you face me," She then grinned, "I'm much stronger than he is."

Rygar suddenly switched his diskarmor... somehow. Don't ask how. But the new one now had a different design than his previous one, and had a gold form to it... this one was known as the Heavenly Diskarmor. As Rygar swung it out skywards to meet with Shrum's cross, the weapons collided in midair, causing bolts of raw energy to fly out around them... effectively stopping both their midair movements. The cross would go flying back to Shrum, and Rygar's diskarmor returned to his side...

"It seems... that this is going to be a clash of our weapons." Rygar said, standing some distance away from Shrum.

A weapon is only as strong as its holder...and the holder's strength comes from his soul." Shrum's blade sparked with a bit of blue energy, the same color as his eyes. "And Im no average soul!" Shrum ran around the arena in a confusing pattern, a blue light chasing his path." A little momentum..." Shrum then jumped at Rygar "Goes a looong way!" Shrum scored a decent hit and sent rygar a a ways back. "I can go all day! BRING IT!" Shrum took a second to recover, as using anything involving bright blue light effects uses energy.

"As you wish," he replied, as he closed in himself and suddenly unleashed a combination of diskarmor swings, all of them launching out from a considerable distance and slamming hard into Shrum. Normally, the diskarmor had spikes underneath that would cause further damage... but Rygar controlled them to where this wouldn't occur, namely because he didn't want to seriously hurt his foe.

After the third blow or so which launched Shrum into the air, Rygar then threw the Heavenly Diskarmor backwards where it slammed into the ground, then he would throw it forwards as Shrum came back down and slammed a fierce burst of electric energy into his body...!

"Ah...Damn....nice shot...but...I don't give up!" Shrum rode his cross down like a board of sorts charging straight into Rygar with an even stronger blue glow "Now my friend you will see what I can really do!"

Shrum dived into Rygar prepared for his strike.

"Nngh!" Rygar blocked the attack, but the force of the impact was too much and it practically knocked him off his feet and sent him careening backwards, where he smashed into the arena wall!

Dust clouds rose up from the crash. Rygar was alright... fazed, but not out. He was against the wall he landed into, where it caved in from his landing. He pushed himself off, revealing the many cracks behind him. It was about the size of his body.

He got knocked for a loop that time, alright.

Rygar charged in this time, and shot his diskarmor out at Shrum. The chain would wrap around his waist, and then he pulled him off the ground. He would swirl him overhead several times before throwing him toward the nearest wall, having pulled on the chain to cause it to release him... "Hoya!!"

"Whoa! Air time" Shrum was spinning...and spinning...and heading toward a wall. Wall? " Oh boy!" He hit the wall similar to the way rygar did. He slid down dazed a bit."Ugh...okay..that's how it is? He used his cross to stand up and gain his balance. "I guess I'll tell you what a crazy sadistic killing robot told me before I stabbed him in the chest...Its been real...and its been fun!...but I can't say its been real fun." (I hate to waste this but...) Shrum pulled down his hood to reveal his wrapped head. He then slowly unwrapped it...almost scared of what could happen..he would gain speed and insight like no other...but it could drain his soul...and drive him to insanity...he said a small prayer and decided to only unwrap half of his face...

Blue eyes with light blue pupils...a scar running down his face as if it was an immortal tear...

"Now...face your sins... Atonement

Shrum pulled of a similar attack to the very first strike he made. Except this time rushing with otherworldly speed and shouting in pain. He approached his target and hoped for the best.

((Not trying to god-mod here. The "Recoil" of the attack is large enough IMO to be considered fair , but if this is too much I can change this to something else))

"!?" Rygar was shocked by this new form... Shrum gained more speed and power, and it looked like now Shrum was stronger than Rygar... he got hit by the attack, which threw him airborne and sent him crashing down holding his chest in pain. Looks like it was back to finding ways to pick apart the defenses this time... a tactic which has served him well many times before.

Pushing himself off the ground to his feet, he would switch diskarmors again, this time to a blue one known as the Sea Diskarmor. He would rush in and begin pounding on Shrum with a series of fierce close-up swipes with the weapon of his choice before powering up and unleashing a fierce charging blow with the diskarmor into Shrum's body... "I won't go down easy... I feel I must be here for a purpose."

"Trump card #1..." Hubris muttered, jotting down more notes. He had liked what he saw from both of them-- both as for what they can do as far as skill goes on their benefit, and for any possibilities to counter for his. "I wonder if that Rygar will have another trick or two up his sleeve... the longer this goes the greater I can see these guys in actio-- ah, talking to myself again." He gave a chuckle that would've fit with a blush, but didn't pay enough mind to be embarrassed. He was too focused on the match.

"Purpose...DON'T TALK TO ME ABOUT PURPOSE!" As the two rushed each other fast exchanges of slashes were exchanged. Blood was shed on both sides, and Shrum's scar bled a red tear..taunting him with that one word..purpose...

As the two broke from the fast slashes Rygar's powerful strike came flying at Shrum. He barely managed to block and the two were locked in that position.

"Purpose...we all have a duty...a reason to live...and for mine to stay true...I can't loose this!"

The struggle between the two raged on. This was no longer an average fight...this was a true struggle of purpose and existence between two heroes.

"I won't loose...not to you...not now...NOT EVER!" Shrum pushed with all his might with a white light engulfing him as the remainder of his wrap burned off. This would be a fight to remember.

Smirking, he looked to the scenery. But attention was truly at Sayuka. She did indeed have a similar power. Problem was, was it truly a clan-guarded treasure? He had to find out. So he asked.
"I am curious. Is that power of yours a treasure of sorts?"

To tell you the truth, there is a lot of my own power that I have yet to discover. As much as I've been fighting and using it, I feel that I've only scratched the surface. Maybe there's something more to it than being able to cut metal with my powers...

Rygar knew it... this battle... was getting even more intense by the second. He broke the clash between him and Shrum and jumped backwards to gain some distance apart to plan his next strategy.

he thought of unleashing some of his better attacks on Shrum, but then he suddenly remembered... what was it Hurbis said... oh yeah. He began to flashback to an hour ago when he was shaking hands with Shrum backstage...

That's right... Rygar thought, ...he's got a very good point. If I reveal too much in this battle, he'll know all my best moves. And even if I defeat Hurbis, the next foe will know them.
I have to try and save all my best techniques for the finals. So that my opponents cannot predict me... this will be very restrictive on my strategies, but I can do this.

Rygar was sweating already. The heat of the battle had caught up to him without him realizing it.

"Your good...very good indeed..." Shrum was feeling the heat. He had plenty of strategies left...but time was of the essence...as he could feel his soul draining ever so. "Listen Rygar...you have done well...I am impressed. However...we are both reaching critical status...trust me I know. Your body temperature is rising...you are getting nervous...and your heart fears for it knows not what the purpose of this tournament is...my eyes can see what you are feeling...and Im afraid I must end this...for the sake of both of us. This fight...will not compromise what you have to do...but it will effect how you go about doing it." Shrum looked at him with his strange eyes. As if he was gazing beyond the plains of natural limitation.

He ran toward him, dragging his blade with a parade of sparks trailing him. His blade white hot he charged forward. Fearing for his soul...fearing for his purpose.

"Yes, that is true," Rygar said in response, right before Justice unleashed his latest attack, "However... no matter how fearful I am..." He then rose his diskarmor and blocked the attack, clashing steel with steel, "...I will have courage! For having courage when venturing into the dark unknown... THAT is what it means to be a hero!" Course, I also have no idea what I'm talking about...

He would then kick Shrum away, then unleash another series of slashes with the Sea Diskarmor before ending it all with an uppercut with his weapon of choice...

Lydia had watched the first two matches with a rather interested look, much more then she had shown to anything thus far. The winners, Kory and Rafhka seemed like they'd make interesting opponents.

She just hope she could win...no, she knew she could.

"That's right, Mr Cuddles. We can do this." She whispered enthusiastically to her teddy bear. She then stood up and watched the next fight. She tried to move to get a better view, and ended up tripping, and bumping into Kory.

"O-oh! I-I'm sorry! Are you okay?!" She said flustered, she seemed deeply upset that she possibly hurt him.

"Gah!" (Damn. Hes fast...then I guess I'll match speed for speed) Shrum stuck his cross into the ground and charged. "Now take this!" Shrum preformed a charging kick and multiple punches catching rygar off guard. He was just trying to weaken him a bit before he went for a power move. He jumped onto a wall and leaped down with a drop kick. "Weapons are fine most of the time, but try using the one that you are born with!"

Rygar quickly got back his concentration in time to leap out of the way of Shrum's dropkick, "I don't have to be born with a weapon to know I was chosen to weild the Diskarmors." Rygar suddenly began unleashing another combo of diskarmor swings, switching to the Hades Diskarmor and shot the weapon out multiple times into Shrum's chest before ending with a final swing that would send him airborne. Then, he wrapped the chain around Shrum's waist, and with a fierce pull, threw him down to the ground with as much force as he can muster!

Shrum was badly hurt. He knew if he didn't end this soon, he may loose his soul to the darkness. He struggled to get up. He coughed up some blood and was shaking all over, it seemed hopeless.
"Damn...damn it all to hell and back....Im not gonna give up...I was given the cross to bear...my eyes to purify...and my friends are gone because of it...I can't loose. Not today!"

Shrum used all he had to pull off one good move. He dashed at Rygar and grabbed him. He then threw his cross into the air along with him. He took a leap of faith into the air grabbed Rygar, and did a 'come on' gesture.

As if on cue the cross came charging toward him and Rygar. The audience gasped at the fact that the cross responded, and that Shrum would be attacking himself if he stayed where he was.

"Huh!?" Rygar gasped, held by Shrum and seeing the cross incoming at them, "What is this? What are you doing?" Is... this a desperation technique? He can't be doing what I think he's doing... is he?
...this may be bad. I can't get away... and that cross is coming at a high velocity... He thought, clinching his teeth, If it hits us both... it's either going to severely damage one of us... or kill us both...!

Watching the events unfolding in front of him, Hubris jotted something down fast and then decided to just look on.
"Aw... at this rate I'll have nobody to fight against." Hubris said. Placing his hand over his notes, he covered a large written part that held the words 'Finish quickly and effectively, no room for error'.

When Lydia had tripped, Minny snapped out of her daze. The matches she had been watching took her away from reality for a bit. "Oh my gosh! Lydia are you oka-". Minny paused, Lydia had run into her next opponent, Kory. "Oh hey there Kory, you were great out there earlier" Minny said to Kory. Kory was a good fighter, but he had gotten an easy match. No offense to Dan or anything but the way he fought at times were, weak. This wasn't so good for Minny since Kory hadn't let out his full potential for the battle, meaning he still had a lot of tricks up his sleeve for her. "I'm going to be your next opponent, name's Minjuaeh but you can just call me Minny."

He sat back and put his arms around the back of his head. "I'm getting the easy opponent now. Dunno if that should be a good thing or not."

Sayuka didn't answer for a moment. But then she scoffed, and she smirked... then smiled light heartedly, "If you would like to call it that... then I guess you may.
However... I don't understand why you'd wanna take the treasures. I'm assuming to get more powerful... but that's probably because I don't understand your intentions."

Rygar's eyes became heavily foreshadowed and he clinched his teeth, growling, "...don't talk to me like you think this is the end for me," Rygar suddenly began to gather strength, "because I can never give up! That is the promise I made to Argus... and I will keep it!!"

With that, Rygar's Diskarmor glowed brightly... he wasn't sure what was going on himself with his own weapon, but it began to supply Rygar with strength! Wh...what is this? He thought, eyes widening, Are the Diskarmors... telling me I've got one last chance?
I see... there's still more I have to do here. Diskarmors... lend me your strength!!

Rygar's body began to glow brightly and shine as the armors supplied him with more power... at least for this time. Rygar let out a yell as he began to struggle out of Shrum's grip and eventually turned the tables, forcing himself out of his foe's grip...

...and now holding tight onto Shrum, holding him in front of his own weapon's path!!

"...Nnngh!!" Rygar grunted, still glowing, "It's over... Shrum, it pains me to say this to such a great warrior, but even if this attack hits us both, you might be the only one going down. The Diskarmors... they won't be letting me die easily.
Does your weapon consider you too important to die, as well? If so, give up and call it off. Or you will be gravely injured by your own weapon."

"I...I'm fine..." Lydia whispered to Minny as she dusted herself lightly. She also made sure Mr Cuddles was okay.

"Um...m-my n-n-name's...L-Lydia...L-L-Lydia Robin...son." She stammered. She was pretty scared of Kory after seeing him fight like that, and she was showing it. Very obviously as well.
