As Captain William Clarke stepped off the Victoria, he surveyed the ship. It seemed to be all in order, just a regular trading vessel, but he still had an uneasy feeling that he just couldn't shake. As he strode towards one of the crew, he was assaulted with a babble of what he assumed was Chinese. He stared blankly back at the crew member for a while, then called out, "Anyone here speak English?" Receiving blank stares from the crew, he turned to investigate the rest of the ship when a youth of about 16 spoke up.

"Um, sir? I do speak English. You see, I'm the translator on this fine vessel. We're on our way to Hong Kong, and I've been hired to make sure they don't run into any language barriers while we're on our way." Jack stared at the captain. Would he buy the bluff?

Dawn had left her fishing rod stuck onto the railing, and it tugged. There was a loud crack, and she swore under her breath. Jumping onto the barrel, she pulled on the fishing rod as hard and she can.
"Adele! Help!"
Adele responded by climbing down and helped her reel the fish in. It was a marlin... about 50 pounds.

Oassu chuckled untying his bandanna before covering his face with it "Well Chef she said it tasted great even if it smells bad and if it keeps the Navy out of here I'd welcome it" he said closing the door properly before stretching out in a chair "I'm Oassu by the way" he said introducing himself to the chef "Was a good meal you cooked earlier" he said happily.

Amara heard what Dawn sang, and joined in the singing, as the captain of the Victoria came aboard. "鱼啊，快乐的鱼！整天钓鱼，吃喝所有的夜晚!" she sang, mopping the deck. Then she turned to the naval officer, and with a bow, she said, "欢迎光临。更多的鱼！更健康！" With another, smaller nod of the head, she let out a silent chuckle, and went back to her work.

I've been away for far too long.

Clarke peered down at the boy in front of him. His story seemed unlikely, but then again, few things in life seemed very likely. "Very well then. If you are who you say you are, we'll be fine. But let me warn you, if I find any traces of foul play on this boat, I'll have this entire crew in the pillory for months, you hear me?" Jack gulped. He hoped that the crew had gotten everything incriminating stowed away where the Naval officer wouldn't find them. A loud crack followed by someone swearing in Chinese resounded, and both Jack and the captain turned to see Dawn and Adele struggling with a large marlin. The captain frowned, then turned back to Jack. "Just tell the rest of your crew to keep out of my way while I take a look around, got it?" Jack nodded quickly, then yelled out a warning to the rest of the crew in Chinese.

"Fish!" Dawn shouted. She nodded when Jack shouted a warning, and grinned. "I love fish!" Dawn strung up the marlin and nodded. "It's going to be quick, but there's nothing incriminating in our holds, just food and trade goods. And the stinky tofu." Dawn grinned again.

Amara's eye twitched slightly as the captain of the Navy ship announced his plan for inspection, and Jack translated it in Chinese. "好吧。我们听到你的话," she replied. She then went closer to Dawn, still mopping, and said to her, "我只是担心的Oassu。如果他在会谈中英文...我们只能希望。" Then, mopping the rest of the deck, she continued singing, "钓鱼是我们的生命！鱼，贸易和吃鱼！钓鱼是我们的生命！"

Guybrush sat tightly on top of the barrel, praying not to be noticed. The Naval commander looked like a no-nonsense officer. He was looking for any reason to throw someone in jail.

Guybrush inwardly shrugged, sticking to just thinking of what he could do if they got caught. If only I could see the deck, he thought.

Dawn grinned. "Tofu time." She climbed down to the hold, and waltzed into the kitchen, and grabbed a set of chopsticks. "Allow me." She tasted the tofu, and grinned. As she was eating it, she tossed Oassu a piece of paper. Written on it was a warning about the inspection.

Oassu frowned seeing the paper glad his bandanna covered the smell of Tofu "Well uh...is there a place to hide? I thought you said the smell of that stuff would keep them well away from here?" he asked "And you might wanna hide any other contraband you got onboard..." he said looking around for a place he could stow away.

Amara breathed out a sigh of relief, as Dawn headed to the hold. "Hopefully Dawn can hide Oassu somewhere, but that captain...he'll turn the whole ship topsy-turvy to find even one incriminating piece of evidence that we're pirates," she thought, quite worried about the situation. Then, still mopping, she reassured herself. "No...I have to trust them more. If we're going to live out at least a couple of months together in search of anything, I'll have to trust them."

Clarke strode down towards the ship's hold, still searching for anything amiss. Everything checked out, but he still didn't buy in to their story. Something seemed just too... perfect, like someone had taken a great length to hide something. But so far, there was nothing to prove his suspicion, so it remained that: a suspicion. Down in the told, he took a few steps forward, and was assaulted by a wall of some stomach-churning odor. Coughing and hacking, he raced back up to the deck, his nose seemingly on fire. Damn Chinese and their foul cooking, he thought to himself, what manner of disgusting food are they making down there?

Guybrush heard the captain coughing and weezing. He took this opportunity to tip up his blindfold and survey the deck.

In front of him was the main mast, and the sail above it. Mesh rope ladders on either side of it led up to the crow's nest. To his side, next to the barrel, there was a door leading to the hold. Quickly, before the captain could turn around, he took another peek behind him.

There was a rack of swords on the wall directly behind the barrel. Guybrush snatched one of them and hid it in his jacket. I may be against actually killing people, but there's always room for more swords, he thought happily before putting his bandanna back on.

Adele was back up in the crow's nest and she studied the sails on the ship. It was standard, and held together by rope. She nodded to herself and picked a small arrow. Adele took aim and let it fly when the crew on the Navy ship wasn't looking. It missed the sail but nicked the rope holding it about halfway. She did the same for the other side, and was satisfied with the result.

Dawn nabbed a piece of tofu and strolled out of the kitchen. She nibbled a bit on the tofu as she climbed up on the deck.

Hearing the captain trying to get out of the kitchen, coughing because of the almost unbearable smell of tofu, Amara stifled a giggle. Then she heard a very faint sound: one of an arrow being released. Trying to pinpoint the source, she looked up, and saw Adele getting another arrow to be released. She watched as she released the second arrow, which hit one of the ropes of the Victoria's sails. Smiling, she shouted to her, "良好的工作，我的朋友！" and quickly dipped the mop once more into the bucket as Captain Clarke reached the deck.

Oassu frowned examining the note and hearing the familiar wheezing on the stairs Well least I'm safe though if they find Guybrush out there's no bounty for me or any chance I'll get away he thought before letting the piece of paper fall out the small circular window before lying down against a barrel to take a nap as Dawn had suggested. Dunno what this will achieve, he'll still recognise me asleep.

He frowned in thought. That's a good idea. If this Navy guy doesn't leave, we need a way to leave 'em out at sea. If only he hadn't seen me, I could move around... Guybrush had an idea.

Eyes still watering slightly from the acrid fumes coming out of the kitchen, Clarke felt that his investigation was over. Everything checked out, and he longed to get off the Chinese vessel with its awful smells. He nodded curtly towards Jack. "Everything seems to be fine. Pass the word on to the rest of your crew that the inspection is over."

Jack breathed a sigh of relief. As long as nothing went wrong as the Navy left, they could be on their way to find the treasure. But something told him that Guybrush and Dawn wouldn't leave it at that. "He's leaving!" he cried in Chinese as Clarke stepped towards his boat.

"Got it." Dawn said in Chinese. She signaled to Adele to cut the rope of the other sails. "Looks like we're done here. Shall we celebrate?"

Adele grinned and looked at the sails. It would only take one shot to still that boat, but she was going to wait and see. But first... the rest of the ropes should be weakened. She set to her task without the Navy crew noticing.

"FIRE IT!" Dawn grinned as she shouted the command to Adele. Adele nodded and let the arrow go. There was nothing, then the main sail of the Victoria collapsed. The other sails soon followed. "Checkmate, Victoria." She grinned. "Let's go!"

Amara sighed. "Finally, those Navy scums are goin' ta get what they deserve," she said, as the Victoria sailed off, unaware of the damage that their crew inflicted on the ship. Then she said, "I'm willing to eat that tofu if there's any extra. Still quite hungry, so I might as well eat something. After that, I'll be in tip-top shape to do some navigation." She smiled, then followed Dawn to the kitchen to grab a bite of food.

Guybrush awoke abruptly in the middle of the night. He was a pretty light sleeper, and the leftover tofu smell in the kitchen was bothering him. He took his jacket collar and brought it up to his nose to block the scent, and headed up the stairs to the deck.

The boat was very quiet at night, Guybrush noted. Too quiet, almost. He climbed his way up to the crow's nest and looked out over the sea. On the horizon, he thought he made out a faint light, getting brighter and brighter till it disappeared, then came back. He snapped his fingers. "A lighthouse!"

Guybrush came down quickly and rang the bell on deck. "Guys! The Sharkbait Isla-" He called out, before he was interrupted. He walked over to the side of the ship, and saw a ghostly form appear from the sea. Another ship, with black, tattered sails and a skeleton crew. And on the deck, staring back at him, was none other than the Evil Ghost Pirate LeChuck.

"G-G-Guys?! I-I-I-It's L-L-L-LeChuck!" Guybrush screamed. "I thought I killed you! Like, six times!" LeChuck laughed. "You fool, Guybrush. Noone can help ye now! Only you can see me, and what can you do? I've made my mistakes, but you will never reach the Dejeneur de Rois! I'll take it and harness its evil voodoo power!"

Guybrush stared at the Ghost Pirate questionably. "So, it's a voodoo thing?" LeChuck frowned. "Well, I'm not really sure, to be honest, but whatever it is, it must be undoubtedly powerful!" Guybrush sneered. "Sure, sure it is. I'll laugh when it turns out to be a magical spoon or something." LeChuck growled menacingly. "Listen here, Threepwood! You will pay for your past meddlings, I swear it!"

Guybrush smiled confidently. "Sure, LeChuck. I beat you before, I'll beat you now too. Race you to the finish!"

With that, LeChuck disappeared into the mist, cackling. Guybrush sighed, his head spinning as he turned towards the door to the quarters.

Vasco woked up. He had fallen asleep in the kitchen. Then he heard Guybrush's scream and he ran and saw him "Guybrush! You ok?I heard you scream." he asked.

Oassu snapped awake hearing Vasco stumbling from his sleep "Wha? Is it safe now? The Navy gone?" he grunted yawning as he glanced out the small circular window by his side seeing the dark seas Hmm...maybe they took Guybrush and settled for that... he thought getting up and stretching either way I'd better check things out, see what happened he concluded to himself reattaching his bandanna to his head seeing that the tofu was eaten and gone before following Vasco up the stairs
