Melody was silent. I told you this would happen The other voice in her head said. You knew things would be different. They are dead.
"The day..." Melody shook her head. Then she blinked. "Is gone." A smile slowly spread across her face. "You know what? I just need to go outside and..." Her cell phone rang. She didn't reconize the number. "Hello this is Ash... Oh Hi! What's up?" Her face showed slight shock as she listened to the voice on the other side. "My... Office? Detective, I don't think... You're sure that nothing's left? No, No. I'm Fine... Yes, I'm with people I trust. Detective, we went over this when I left. If you find anything please call back. Thank you." She shut the phone.
