She clutched her head. She had a splitting headache. The world began spinning, then Skylar fell unconscious, and something else took over her body.

It then raised the sword, cutting through the stitches.

"My God, how pathetic. You haven't seen through the lie," Artemis sighed. "Dear, dear." She pulled out a pistol and shot the thing. Its eyes opened up wide and it collapsed.

"Skylar is actually tied to a chair inside the bathroom. My agent situated inside the bathroom cloned her, and sent the clone back out here," Artemis opened the bathroom door to reveal Skylar, who was tied to a chair and gagged. "Okay, I'm going off to smoke now."

Artemis left the medical room.

"Hey kid... you could use something," the body on the ground groaned, rolling over. It extended a hand. In the palm lay a syringe. "It'll give you the power to look into people's minds. You can't read their minds or anything, but you can see and destroy mind worms like the one you have yourself. It's really cool, but there's a 75% chance you could die."

"Oh COME ON! I am not going to pass up a cool power, am I?" Skylar moved over and picked up the syringe. She watched the body slowly die. "Hmm." She put the syringe in her pocket. "I'll use it later."

She grabbed a bunch of papers and read over them. "God, this power is quite nasty and could probably kill me. AND it's only a beta, so we don't even know if it WORKS."
