Sheila Axiom raised an eyebrow as her office door was knocked on again. Figures everyone would want to talk to me when I'm suspected of a crime, she thought, answering the door. "Why, Detective Ambrose and Prosecutor Thornebush, to what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you two again? Please, come right in." She moved out of the way and held the door for Rose and Floyd to enter her office.

Floyd waited for Rose, then entered himself. "Thank you, Ms. Axiom. Well, I was just about to see you when I encountered Ms. Thornebush in the halls. She asked me what information I had regarding the case, and I was on my way here to ask you a few questions as well."

"Ask away, then, by all means," Sheila said. "I would hate for you to have unanswered questions by the trial tomorrow." She glanced at Adam out of the corner of her eye, wondering why he hadn't left yet. He was so silent that she didn't even know she was there until she saw him. "So, what have you found out, Detective Ambrose?"

Adam saw the glance Sheila gave him.

"O-Oh, I believe it's time for me to leave. It was a pleasure meeting you, Ms. Axiom. I guess I'll see you tomorrow then," he said as walked to the door, opened it, and left.

Floyd sat down with a weary sigh. "Well, I spoke with your accuser, Mr. Roger Clyde. He told me some more details concerning the case where the supposed forged evidence was presented. He told me that the evidence was a punchcard for an Auto Repair shop where the defendant, Dennis Young, was working. Can you tell me more about that?"

Sheila smiled slightly when Adam left. After all, he was the judge of the case. It wouldn't be fair for him to know too much about it beforehand.

"There's not much to tell about it. It's a punch card. Every employee had one, and used it to punch in when they entered the building, and punch out when they left," she answered. "The defendant of the case in question punched in right around the time of the murder, about fifteen minutes beforehand, then punched out shortly after the time of death on the victim. This evidence makes him look very suspicious, so his attorney claimed it was forged, and here we are." She looked from Floyd to Rose. "I received this evidence from a detective working the case. The only way it could possibly be forged is if that detective did it, but what would be their reason for doing so? We had plenty of evidence to implicate him without the punch card."

Floyd scratched his chin. "So, you're saying that the defense's accusation was largely baseless, then? Seems to me like a pretty easy case to swat down. Why would they put so much onto this?"

Sheila shrugged.
"Unfortunately, Detective Ambrose, I'm not entirely sure, myself. There have always been rumors that I've forged evidence, but I never have," she replied. "The only thing I can possibly think of is that someone doesn't want me to be a prosecutor anymore, for whatever reason." She pursed her lips. "But I can only speculate."

"Who do you know that would want to do that?" Floyd asked. "There has to be someone who you know doesn't like you in the Prosecutor's Office."

"Well, that's the thing," Sheila said, nervously drumming her fingers on the desk. "I know I'm the one who suggested someone might not want me to remain a prosecutor, but there is no one here I can name that would hold a grudge on me. Prosecutor Edgeworth is the whole reason I became a prosecutor in the first place. Without his advice, I'd probably have wasted away. Prosecutor von Karma certainly respects me enough to at least be cordial, and I even compliment her when I can. I've always admired her strength. I bet when that door opens, she'll come out acting like nothing is wrong. Prosecutor Ingmune likes me, at least a little. We see eye-to-eye on a lot of things. Prosecutor Thornebush is standing right there. She can tell you personally that she holds no grudge, and I even consider her a friend. The only one I can think of in this office that I can name who might harbor ill will toward me is Prosecutor Payne, but I think it's more a matter of me emasculating him more than anything. He hasn't spoken to me much since I became a prosecutor, but I always chocked it up to my defeating him so soundly during my first case as a defense attorney. The case was over in an hour." She smiled slightly at the memory, then pursed her lips. "What he says has little staying power and impact around here. If he started going around saying I'm a horrible prosecutor or person, very few would listen to him, and I doubt he would do such a thing, anyway. Which leads me to believe..." Her brow furrowed. "...that perhaps this isn't a grudge. Perhaps someone is being bribed or blackmailed. Of course, I could be mistaken."

((UPDATE!!!!!! Because I have a feeling everyone is pretty much at a standstill.

Hey everyone! Despite our lack of posting, LWOD and I have still been keeping up with the goings-on in the Prosecutors' Office.

I have to say that for the tremendous lack of information, you all have been doing a fabulous job of keeping this thing up and running :cards: I realize that everyone is waiting for the trial to convene, and for the storyline to progress- LWOD and I are nearly done with our preparations.

As the prosecution, we have taken the liberty of building the "State's" case against Sheila Axiom. This includes creating evidence, "prepping" witnesses and the like. So . . that's what we've been doing for the past week. Just so you all didn't think we were slacking off. . . :yogi:

Like I said before, we're almost done; there are just a few details left to work out. Lida, I hope you're well-prepared, 'cause there's a gale-force wind a-comin' your way! :seeds: (And maybe some bird-seed while we're at it XD Hey, it's the only simile I could find that fit. . .) ))

((Also, if you all could please not add any more details to the case, we'd greatly appreciate it. We're working with what we have now, and anything new would mean a whole revamping of what we've already come up with >_<))

((I'm always well-prepared! ...Okay, I'm not, but I'm good at improvising! Sometimes! Just don't be waaay too hard on me! XD.

Alright. No more case details. Which means...Sheila will have to pull the classic "I don't know" out if she's questioned further. Lol. And don't worry, Ha cubed! I'll be sending Sheila Edgeworth's way as soon as this scene is wrapped up. ^_^))

((Aw, and I was so happy to see Lana as a rejected defense attorney. XD Oh well, see you some other time, Fran! Since she was turned down anyway, it clears that problem quite easily. Now, for Rose's last scene of the day.))

Rose nodded once more, probably the nth time today, mentally organizing all the details of the case she's heard so far. "It's quite true," she then put in, "at least as far as I know, that everyone in the office is at least cordial with Ms. Axiom, and anyone who might feel otherwise would most probably be defense attorneys or defendants from previous cases, none of which seem to be involved in the case we have now. Of course, someone might also have planted the fake evidence onto the crime scene, but that would complicating matters quite a bit already."

A vibration then came from Rose's pocket, and taking her phone, she saw it was the chief prosecutor calling. She answered, "Hello? Yes, yes...I'll be right up." Placing the phone back to where it came from, she turned to both Sheila and Floyd and said, "Sorry I couldn't be of much help, but I have to file some paperwork from my case last week. I suppose I'll be seeing the both of you tomorrow at the courthouse, so...good luck!" With that, she walked out of the room once more and headed for her office on the floor above.

[[I'll assume that by Chief Prosecutor, you mean Miles.]]

Edgeworth then closed his phone, and placed it with it's long time neighbor, his Prosecutor's badge, in his right pocket.

It was 5:30 PM by now, and all paperwork had been promptly finished and stored in his Bookcase.

He grabbed his suitcase, and made his way out, locking the room.

He grabbed his cellphone once again and tried to call Kay- no luck.

He sighed, and headed to the Parking Lot.

Floyd frowned. "Blackmail? This is just ridiculous." He stood up and pinched the bridge of his nose. "This is a fine bloody mess you've got here, Ms. Axiom, if you don't mind me saying." Giving her a hopefully reassuring smile, he walked towards the door. "I suppose that'll be all until the trial tomorrow. I wish you the best of luck," he said, stepping out into the hall.

Floyd walked outside and lit a cigarette, taking a deep drag and breathing out a cloud of smoke. He was both apprehensive and excited for the trial tomorrow, but for now he simply took a moment of respite from the confusion he felt.

((No! Now Sheila stands alone! ...Oh, wait, that's what she was counting on in the first place. XD.))

Sheila nodded as Rose and Floyd left her office. She was planning on visiting Miles Edgeworth, so she walked over to his office, only to find it empty and locked. I guess I'll have to talk to him some other time...if I get another chance, she thought as she went back to her office, finished organizing her files, then went straight to the detention center. After all, she's done all she could for that day. All she could do was wait.

((Wait, if the chief prosecutor is Miles, then does that mean he's the same person that assigned both Franziska and Howl to Sheila's case? Or is it like in 1-5 wherein Lana is supposedly the chief prosecutor but there was another 'chief prosecutor' who had a higher rank than Lana?))

Franziska took a glance at the case file, realizing that it was the latest one had ever been delivered to her. She closed her eyes, and shook her head. How was she going to prepare an entire case in one day!? This is all his fault. He should have delivered it to me earlier! She shot a subtle glare over at Howl, regaining her normal disposition towards the man. If he turns out to be the one who ruins my perfect case. . . Franziska her grip on the handle of her weapon.

After a moment, she responded. "Fine. Then let us continue building our case." Franziska walked around to the front of her desk and grabbed a chair, pulling it closer to where he was sitting so that they could be at a comfortable speaking-distance. She took a seat and straightened her skirt, then folded her hands in her lap. "Now, I typically start with determining . . . "

Night threw its covers over the city skyline, hushing the once bustling streets. One by one, the individuals once residing in the Prosecutor's Office left to their abodes or other entertainments of their choosing. Each being, however, had more than just the weight of their head on their shoulders as they left the office. Friendships were thorned and nerves ran high as the impending trial crept closer every second. One woman faced against her own friends and co-workers, namely in hopes to free her name, while two of those friends-slash-prosecutors were ordered to stand in her way, blocking her acquittal. Tomorrow would be the day everything would be thrown on the table for justice to decide what is right and just by either a conviction, or an acquittal. The trouble was, that no matter the outcome, someone would get hurt, either mentally or socially. How much everyone wished this could have been avoided, or even given a bit of extension to prepare proper cases for self and for state. However Time didn't care. Nor would She ever. Time continued spinning Her evil string, pushing the day of troubles closer as the moon, once hung by *insert religious/scientific preference*, now fell to the light of a new dawn. The town's clock rearranged its hands and gears to display a face of 6 A.M.

------------------------

Howl sat up in his bed, minutes before his alarm clock would ring. "Almost 6 A.M." He muttered to himself. "3 hours till showdown." Breaking the warmth built in his bed, Howl arose to begin the morning as best as he could for someone about to present a states' case again one of his only friends.

Bathroom necessities and finished attire were completed by about 6:45. His favorite blend of black coffee, "Blend #47, found on a piece of paper that had been scrapped to the city's pavement outside of the Prosecutor's Office, chimed on its completion, which he then poured into his optimistic "I hate weekdays" mug. Finishing the black delight, Howl grabbed his suitcase, placing it inside an "experienced" backpack as he called it; the bag torn and abused by the elements. Adorning his helmet, Howl exited through the garage of his two-story abode, backing out of the driveway on his ride. Be known that Howl didn't own a car or truck of any sort. He found pleasure in travel by his barely street-legal motor bike. Finished with a Rev card allowing it to bust speeds over 85, he had previously no other transportation other than the modifications he would place onto his pride and joy. Leaving the neighborhood street and traveling onto city asphalt, Howl marked the air of the road with his dark red and chrome bike, whose colors almost melted with that of the rising sun. Reaching the courthouse at about 7:30, he got off the heated ride, and walked into the courthouse, entering holding room 3 which was marked for the prosecution's dwelling only for today's trial which would begin at 9:15. He sent a simple text to Franziska noting which room he was in. Today was going to be a long day. Optimism not being Howl's strong point, he silently muttered a curse word, holding his feelings for the rest of the day.

Sheila arrived in the defense lobby a couple hours early, having requested the guards to drop her off there as such. She was nervous, and for once, she didn't need to hide that fact. She fiddled with the attorney's badge she had pinned on her dress the day before. Would anyone try talking to her before the trial? Would they notice that the guards didn't allow her to apply makeup, and therefore she didn't look as presentable as normal? Would they notice the dark circles under her eyes from a sleepless night? She sighed and tried not to worry about her appearance, instead focusing on the trial ahead. She had not been able to investigate, and wondered how quickly she would be falsely convicted of forging evidence.
Knowing Howl and Franziska, it'll probably be one hour, if that, she thought gloomily.

Rose woke up reluctantly to the urban sounds outside her window, the sunlight shining through the curtains taunting her to get ready for the day ahead. It was only a couple of hours left until the trial of her friend and colleague Sheila Axiom, and in truth, she'd been in supposedly more controversial cases, but this one was of a more personal nature, and even those such as her who weren't directly involved in the case are being affected. All the prosecutors in the district, however, were assigned to investigate this case, and Rose had no choice but to see this case closed, no matter the outcome. After preparing for the day and having a nice cup of Earl Grey, Rose put on her black coat and stepped into her sleek black city car, driving off to the courthouse.

She arrived about an hour earlier than the trial proper, stepping into Defendant Lobby No. 1, where, to her surprise, Sheila was already present. The defendant of this intriguing case was defending herself, as several already knew, so it was no surprise that only the guard and she were in the lobby at the time. The strain of the whole situation showed on her face, gloomy eyes and a slight trace of darkness under them. Rose sighed, putting on a sympathetic smile as she approached. "Good morning, Sheila," she greeted. "Are you ready?"

((*looks at long post* I do love my character intros, don't I? XD))

The grandfather clock standing majestically in Franziska's foyer struck 5:30 a.m. This time of the morning being Franziska's usual stage of awakening, in the next room the alarm clock perched on the edge of her nightstand sounded it's call.

*beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *be-*

*SLAM*

As an instinct, Franziska threw her hand down on the small machine as if trying to exact revenge on it- the infernal noise had woken her from her beauty sleep, and it wasn't about to get away unscathed. "Foolishly foolish. . . fool-inspired. . . foolery. . ." She mumbled to herself as she shifted beneath her comforter. Groggily she forced her eyes open, and the sight of the bright blue numbers displaying the current time was enough to get her out bed.

Franziska reached for a satin bathrobe hanging on a hook near her bed, still trying to reacquaint herself with gravity. She shuffled over to her bathroom, and quickly began to prepare herself for a shower. After stepping into the small, tile-walled room, she turned the knob in front of her. The warm water cascading onto her skin was one sensation which Franziska found rather-pleasurable; the morning shower was always a highlight of her day.

20 minutes under the running water was all she needed to feel fully awake. Franziska dried herself off, and continued with the rest of her morning routine: Blow drying her hair, applying her makeup, and opening her closet to reveal an accumulation of remarkably-similar outfits, followed by dressing herself. Finishing her duties upstairs, Franziska make her way for the large staircase near the entrance of her house. She descended it and headed for the kitchen, contemplating what she intended to eat for breakfast.

This morning was very similar to every other morning for Franziska: that is, until she spotted her attaché case atop her dining room table. Last night, she had filled it with the papers from Sheila's case and brought it home. The other events from the previous days began to come back to her, and suddenly she felt a knot appear in her stomach. Once again, Franziska found herself with a very grave, moral conflict- one that she had yet to resolve. She always regarded Sheila as more than a co-worker. Although the word "friend" didn't accurately describe Franziska's feelings towards the woman, she felt a certain closeness to Sheila that she didn't typically have with other people. Sheila had always been kind towards her, and had acted as more of an ally than anyone else at the Prosecutors' Office. But kindness doesn't exempt one from criminal activities.

When her little brother, Miles Edgeworth, had found himself accused of murder, she was very willing to prosecute him on the spot. What made this case any different? Regardless of her relation to the defendant, they should pay for their crime. They were arrested and charged for a reason, and the role she played in the grand-scheme of things was to convict them. Not to mull over whether or not they should have been charged, or if they are remorseful for their actions, whatever the case may be. Ultimately, her goal as a prosecutor was to show the judge how absolutely guilty every defendant was. . . even if she didn't necessarily believe it herself.

Finally, she decided to skip breakfast. She grabbed her attaché case, as well as her purse and coat from their respective hangers. The Lexus parked in her driveway emitted a loud "beep" as she pressed the "unlock" button on her key-less entry device. Locking the front door behind her, she strutted over to the car and opened the driver's side, then placed her items on the passenger's seat. Just then, she heard a small ring come from her purse. Franziska stretched as far as she could over the driver's seat and center console to reach her cell phone, and plucked it from her purse. The name on the screen of her light blue phone read "Howl Ingmune", and she let out a small growl as she reluctantly opened the text message. What could that fool possibly want? All that the message read was "Holding Room 3", and Franziska quickly closed her phone. Couldn't the man even bother to write out a full sentence?

Franziska proceeded to drive to the courthouse and park her car perfectly in her reserved spot. After gathering her items from the passenger's seat, she make her way to "Holding Room 3", which she inferred from Howl's earlier message to be where he had stationed himself. She approached the door to the room and swiftly opened it, disregarding the fact that it had been closed earlier.

Without even looking at Howl, Franziska entered the room and closed the door behind her. She spotted an empty chair near a coffee table and claimed it as her own by taking a seat. Placing her items on top of the table, Franziska removed the file from her attaché case. She began to review it, preparing herself for the upcoming trial.

((Apparently, she forgot she has a co-council. Perhaps Howl would like to bring up the topic of the opening statement? :minuki: ))

((Lol. Have I mentioned you are the best Franziska ever, GDM? :D))

The sound of someone entering the lobby almost made Sheila jump, her nerves were so wired. Calm down, Sheila. She turned to see Rose, wearing a sympathetic smile and asking her if she was ready. I must look like a train wreck.
"Oh, good morning, Prosecutor Thornebush," she said, forcing a smile, herself. "I'm as ready as I can be, given the circumstances." She self-consciously finger-brushed her hair to try to get it to look more tidy. Of course, all she achieved was making it more static-y. She decided it was probably best to try saying some more to her. "You're here early." Brilliant observation. Did you just now notice, Genius?

The alarm rang in the dull silence of the room. Floyd groaned and tried to ignore it, but it kept on going. Floyd reluctantly swatted it off his nightstand and it hit the ground with a thud, thankfully unplugged so the sound stopped. He sat on the edge of his very small, messy bed and sighed. Today felt like a long day. Unaware of the time, he rose and stumbled to the bathroom, taking a long, drawn out shower and debating simply staying there under the water. However, he'd probably lose his job, so he left the tub and got dressed in a more formal attire for the trial.

As Floyd stepped outside, his eyes had trouble adjusting to the bright light. He always kept his blinds closed while he slept, and he often forgot to open them when he woke up. Taking a minute to gain good vision, he slumped into his car and began to drive to the courthouse, lighting up a cigarette and finishing it just as he parked. Throwing it into the grass, he walked lazily into the courthouse and opened the door to the Defendant's Lobby with a big yawn. "G'mornin'," he muttered, taking a seat on the couch in the corner of the room.

It was 5 in the morning when the alarm went of.

"Gaaaaaaah!"

Adam Blade woke up. He had never gotten up so early in his life. He got ready, the usual shower, get dressed, and eat breakfast routine. He went outside, mounted his bicycle, and rode off to the courthouse.

He arived there at 6:30 AM, and spent the next few hours in being lectured on how a judge's job worked. It might have been because he was still sleepy, or because the lecture was boring, but either way, he spent half the lecture asleep.

After the lecture was over, they gave him his judge's robes. He tried them on.

(Man...... these are hot and itchy.....) the young deffense attorney thought.

After going through the whole process, he headed to Deffendant Loby No. 1 to wish Sheila Axiom good luck. When he got there, Sheila was talking to someone else. A friend, Adam thought. Sheila looked like a mess, but Adam didn't think so, for he too looked bad. His hair was messier than usual, his eyes half closed and a bit red, his face having a tired and sleepy look on it, and finally, a tiny drop of drool on his cheek. He spoke.

"Good luck today, Ms. Axiom....."

"Good morning, Detective Ambrose," Sheila said. She was a little surprised he was in this lobby, even though she didn't show it. Rose, she kind of expected to visit. They were co-workers, friends even. However, this was the detective working the case, so shouldn't he be somewhere else? "Erm...Not to be rude, but shouldn't you be in the prosecution's lobby, preparing your testimony?" she wondered. Then, she turned to the judge presiding over the case and smiled at him. "Thank you, Your Honor. However, I wouldn't make it a habit as a judge to wish the defendant luck. Might make people think your opinion is biased." She chuckled a hollow chuckle. "I am grateful all the same."

Miles Edgeworth woke up at exact 5:00.

However, differently from his co-workers, he didn't need an alarm clock.

His organism was used to wake up at this exact hour, flawlessly.

He arose from his bed, and went to take a cold shower.

Once he dried himself, he stepped into his room, and opened his wardrobe, taking one of his suits.

Once he finished putting his jacket, he then grabbed his loyal cravat, and carefully placed it around his neck.

He ate a simple breakfast- a simple sandiwch with a cup of hot cocoa. It's the coldest winter in Los Angeles ever since 2015, and he catched a bit of a cold.

He took some medicine his doctor had receipted, grabbed his car's keys, and made his way to the car, parked in the garage.

He turned on the car, and headed to the very much familiar Office.

Rose nodded when Sheila mentioned the time of her arrival. "Well," she explained, "There wasn't anywhere else to go, really. All of the prosecutors in the district were directed to investigate on the case, and since there haven't been any new revelations, it would be best to watch the trial and proceed from there." Rose knew this revelation would worsen Sheila's situation, but Sheila would know one way or another, and it was best to say everything from the get-go.

Two more people arrived in the lobby after Rose: namely, Detective Ambrose and Adam Blade, the defense attorney-turned-judge. She greeted both of them good morning, and remarked, "Actually, I can understand detectives being with defendants, as with yesterday's situation and other cases wherein it seemed that the detectives themselves were helping the defense, but it is quite strange to have you here, Mr. Blade. It might be because of habit, with your being a defense attorney, but it would not be good for you were the prosecution to see you here, especially Ms. von Karma." She shuddered at the consequences, and decided to make some tea for everyone, preparing four cups of Earl Grey to calm their nerves.

((Your posts are fine, Ha cubed. Better than I was when I had only a few months' experience, anyway. Just bear in mind where everyone is. Chances are, he won't see anyone at the office, so if you want him to interact with anyone, he'll need to go to one of the courthouse lobbies. If you want him to remain isolated, that's fine as well. ^_^))

"All prosecutors in the district are supposed to be investigating my case?" Sheila asked. The news wasn't so shocking when she thought about it, but she couldn't help her initial reaction. It felt as if she had been dumped with cold water. All of her co-workers and friends, working against her... "Huh. Interesting. I must've really ticked someone off in a past-life or something." She forced another smile. "Does that mean Prosecutor Edgeworth will be arriving as well?" She was nervous about him showing up most of all. She had respected him greatly, even called him a friend, especially after he's the one who introduced her to the job. The thought of making him lose respect for her made her shudder.

"Detectives helping the defense? Where was that when I was a defense attorney?" Sheila joked, trying to lighten the mood. There was surely nothing to worry about. After all, she was innocent. That was all that mattered...right?

Floyd awoke with a start. "Wha- Wha's goin' on..." he murmured, but soon realized what was going on. "I-I just kind of stumbled in here. I'm pretty out of it this morning." Yawning again, he stood up. "Besides, I didn't want to talk to Ms. von Karma or Mr. Howl. Whips and passive-aggressive verbal abuse don't sit well with me."

As Miles ventured in the stairs, he noticed that the office was very quiet today. Creepy, actually.

As long as Miles knew, it was because all Prosecutors in the District were summoned to investigate the case of Prosecutor Sheila Axiom, charged with forging evidence.

He was also entrusted into this case, but only to take care of the paperwork. As long as he knew, the trial would be playing in a few hours, with his sister and Prosecutor Howl presenting the charges against Ms. Axiom.

Just as with almost every other prosecutor in the Office, Miles delevoped a little bond with her. En fact, he noticed that she was one of the most respected Prosecutors in the District.

There was also word that a defense attorney was entrusted with the job of Judge, but he couldn't see the motivation behind this. It was strange, to say the least.

He wasn't too busy today, so...

Maybe he should pay a visit and wish both parties good luck. It was the least he could to.

Rose nodded gravely when Sheila reacted to what she'd said. "That's what the chief told everyone. Honestly, I think two prosecutors, especially the two assigned to the case right now, is more than enough for one case, so I'll see if any new evidence that comes to light can get to you before the real prosecution. The chief never mentioned that we had to reveal everything we gathered, so it wouldn't hurt to share a bit to the other side. After all, it's the truth we're after, and if evidence is the key to the truth, then why can't both sides have it?"

After adding a few drops of honey into the tea, she then handed one to each person in the room. "It's quite true that no one would want to wake up to the sound of whipping," Rose then said in agreement with the detective, "however, if anyone knew either of you were here, you'd be lashed at very soon anyway."

Floyd waved it off. "I don't care anymore. Anything I do is gonna get me in trouble anyway, so why should I even bother? Wouldn't kill them to say 'thank you' once in a while," he muttered, folding his arms and frowning. "Defense attorneys are a lot nicer, I think."

Sheila smiled sweetly at Rose.
"That is very kind of you, Prosecutor Thornebush, however, I wouldn't want you to get into trouble for helping me. Really, your moral support is plenty," she said, then chuckled at Floyd's comments. "Not always true, Detective Ambrose. It was a defense attorney who accused me in the first place. Some prosecutors are nice, as are some defense attorneys. It's the same as in any business." She smiled again, less forced this time. Everyone here seemed to be in danger of facing Franziska's whip, except herself and maybe Rose.

"It means a lot to me that you're all here," she added. "But you shouldn't be troubling yourselves. I'm fine, really." Yeah...Totally fine...up until Franziska and Howl completely crush me with their case. Ugh. This is going to be nasty...

Miles' car parked up in the District Courthouse he was so familiar with.

He closed the car's door, and locked with his remote control, headlights flashing a yellow light quickly.

He opened the heavy and ancient door, slight dust coming off it's latches.

As he walked through the populated Courthouse, he looked to his right, only to be met with the sight of an elevator.

The same elevator where he lived the worst nightmare of his entire life. The same elevator his father was murdered.

Miles just quickly dashed away. The longer he stayed there, the faster that cold and horrible sensation he felt every night of his life creeped up to him.

He still couldn't believe that the elevator to this day. They just wiped the blood, changed the cracked glass, and got it to work again.

However, to Miles, it was as if they were trying to wipe away the memory of his father, and the longer he thought about it, his inner anger and depression arised.

He now looked through each Courtroom, trying to find his sister and/or Ms. Axiom.
