Axel fought hard. His sword clashed against the javelin, small chunks of ice breaking off it as the weapons hit. As he fought, he heard Skylar scream. Worry spread through him. Despite his urge to help her, he remained fighting. The momment he turns around to help Skylar, he'd be skewer'd by his current oponent.

As he fought, he heard Skylar say these enemies couldn't be killed. He stood there, facing the enemy in front of him.

"No......" he breathed. He looked up, his eyes fierce. "They have to die!! Nothing's immortal!!!"

He charged at the monster, and swung his sword like mad, every blow packed with all the stregnth e could muster. Within a minute, the monster was nothing but piles of ice shards. He stood above them. The shards didn't move.

"Guys............ They can't regenerate is they're completly shatered!! THIS is how we'll defeat them!!"

"Excellent to know Adam" said Zex as he switched to Spanish Slicer stance. He then slices the monster in blinding speed. The monster was suspended in time temporarily. "Adios amigo" he says as he slices the head to a z-cut on the body. The Ice monster shatters epically while Zex looks away

"Oh come on...! I don't have any weapons, I'm making the best I can do with my hands!" Skylar yelled back. "I wouldn't know if they could shatter or not while I'm trying to kill them with my fist!" Skylar grabbed an arm from the one she had defeated and ran at one, then used the arm as a sword. The arm shattered pathetically. Skylar growled and kicked the ice creature - hard. Her boots were strong and sturdy and knocked the creature backwards, but received a javelin through the shoulder. Skylar pulled it out and blood spurted out. The creature was attempting to get back on its feet, but Skylar removed its legs and left it flailing.

((Err..... Razor, my char's name is 'Axel' not 'Adam'.))

Axel turned around, just in time to see Zex shater another ice creature.

"Nice one Zex!" he exclaimed. However, just as he was about to charge at another ice creature, he saw Skylar take a javelin to the shoulder.

"S................ SKYLAR!!" he yelled. Immideatly, using his wolf speed, charged at the creature that had wounded her. In a feat of rage, he sliced a few dozen times at the creature, shatering it to bits. He stood over the pile of ice shards, breathing deeply out of fatigue. He then ran up to Skylar.

"Here...." he breathe as he gave her his sword. He smiled at her before charging at the nearest beast, ready to kill it with his wolf claws and wolf strength.

3 out of 6 Ice creatures remain.

"I'm fine," Skylar insisted, throwing the sword into the snow. She struggled to her feet and kicked one of the last few creatures down, rendering it useless like she had the others. While in the midst of this battle, Skylar sustained several more scratches to the face and a javelin impaled through her shoulder again. She didn't bother to pull it out, as her dominant hand was her right and she had been impaled in the left shoulder. Dragon-Wolf yowled sympathetically, but a dog could not understand the severe pain of being impaled through the shoulder by a freezing cold javelin. As Skylar thought of the cold, she decided it was best not to keep such a cold foreign object inside her body and pulled it out, grunting as she did so.

As the second blood-covered javelin hit the ground, another creature popped up. Then another. And another.

"Don't tell me they work like sharks...!" Skylar growled and slammed her elbow into one of the newly formed creatures, knocking it backwards. From there she kicked it, knocking it down and allowing her a few precious moments to steal a javelin and break off an arm. Skylar was sweating heavily, and this had an obvious effect on the ice weapons she held as they began slowly melting. Skylar cursed and flung the ice weapons off, and one creature ran off to fetch them, leaving Skylar with some more time to spare. The creature she had knocked down previously was back on its feet, and she kicked it down again with ease. She decided to run an experiment, and as she rendered the creature useless, a javelin impaled itself in her shoulder yet again. Skylar pulled it out and dropped it, and another creature appeared. "What are these things, icy sharks? Hmm..." Skylar knocked the approaching ones down with a well-aimed roundhouse kick. After several minutes of desperate limb-breaking and javelin throwing that wouldn't have shamed a wanna-be athlete, Skylar was surrounded by icy bodies with no limbs. The limbs showed no signs of growing back, either.

Zex then deals with the next Ice monster in a different way. He puts away his rapier and equips his claw gauntlets. Zex now starts rolling on the ground and forward slicing the creature, it gets stunned. The next hits are regular slashes. The finale blow is a Scarlet Terror where he crouches and kicks upward in an arc. The monster is tossed to the sky then ground. But Zex would like to finish it in style. He then jumps off a nearby wall and Izuna drops the monster. Shattering it. 2 of 6 monsters remain

Just then, an ice monster came up to Somari.

Somari sighed, and held a fighting stance... and flew up into the sky. The creature tried to grab him, but Somari had clearly gotten the hang of his flying with those tails. With the way he kept ascending, it could be seen as running away...

...at least until he dropped down to the ground, knocking the monster back quite a distance, shattering it on contact with the ground.

1/6 mosters remain.

And then, since Somari had seen how Skylar was impaled by those javelins, he called out to her, "Are you okay?! That looked mighty painful...!"

"She'll be alright, considering how far we've gotten." says Zex when suddenly, the Ice monster knocks him back, he rolls to the ground conveniently near Skylar. He gets up and goes to a stance "Why did you just do that?" Zex now shows his hand to Skylar. "I think you can still make it dear."

"I'll be fine," Skylar said to Somari. "Yo Somari, you ever played Professor Layton and the Last Specter?" Another ice creature approached and Skylar roundhouse kicked it, knocking the creature backwards. She caught the javelin as it threw it.

In all honesty, he wasn't at all bothered by how Skylar seemed to ask that out of nowhere. Video games was a topic he happily stayed on.

"Shame, could've told you I idolize Emmy," Skylar said, grabbing an ice creature and mustering the strength to lift it above her head and throw it. "Oww, that hurt my arm. Where'd it go? Oh yeah, one metre in front of me." She kicked the ice creature. "Bothersome creatures." She picked up the sword she'd left in the snow and lunged, shattering the creature.

Around that momment, Axel was finishing the off the last ice being. He was slashing the heck out of it. He then ripped both its arms off and, before it tried to regrow them, started violently beating it with them. Shards of ice flew off as the limbs and the creature itself as they made contact. In the end, Axel stood there, holding two small stubs of ice. He slamed them together, causing them to shatter.

As he turned around to walk away from the remains, he noticed Skylar holding his sword. He walked up to her.

"Hey Skylar. I see you decided to use my sword after all. Cool," he said.

However, at that momment, all shards of ice started shaking. Axel turned around, just in time to see the shards flating in the air. The ice shards then shot straight towards the same spot. They began to combine, forming a large mass of ice. Suddenly, eight large red eyes snaped open at the top, and a small outcrop of ice split open, forming into a mouth with razor sharp teeth. The creature looks like this.

It gave a thundering roar that could be heard even through the loud, bellowing winds. The creature closed its mouth, and slowly moved its head upward. Then, in one quick motion, it lowerd it, opening its mouth. From it, a mass of white and slightly blue-ish wind shot out from its mouth.

Asuming the group backed away, Axel yelled.
"Guys, it's not over yet!!!"

How come everyone else is so calm and then me... I'm just scared of this... For God's sake, I have holes in my arms caused by a creature like this! And I will most definitely have scars! Skylar tried not to show her nervousness and fear, but it was obvious by the sweat dripping down her and her body shaking. Why, dammit, WHY?! Why am I shaking? Great, someone's gonna make fun of me now...

As Somari prepared for attack, he looked over at Skylar.

What he saw he couldn't believe: She was shaking!

He was still cross about the whole romance thing, and he knew she was probably worried about anybody making fun of her for this, but it was against his nature to do so, and actually wanted to prevent said scenario from occurring.

"C'mon Skylar!", Somari said, metal rod tight in hand, "Pick up one of those spears and let's end this guy!"

At the moment, he was hoping that by holding a weapon, she would be able to better hide her fear... and considering how well it was working for him, he had every reason to believe it would work.

From Somari's angle, he couldn't see the sword desperately clutched in Skylar's hand and she threw it up into the air to let him see for a split second then returned to her position, still shaking. God, she thought. Even the nerd is doing better than me. Or is that just because I'm injured?

Just then, the ice monster lifted its head again. It then lowered it, and the stream of freezing winds shot out from its mouth.

Axel dodged it, but he wasn't fast enough. His left leg had been hit. From the knee down, it was covered in thick ice, covered wiht a few sharp points. Axel howled in pain as the ice set in. He looked down at his leg and as soon as he saw it, his face contorted in anger. He tried moving it. It did slightly. He slowly stood up.

"K-Keep it together...! We can......... beat it...!!"

Skylar barely flinched as Axel received a massive wound. She was still injured herself and shaking, but she finally found her composure and raced forwards, sword in hand, bravely slashing at the creature, only to be cut off by a massive icicle thrown into her chest. She needed to go to a hospital, desperately. If she was still conscious, she would be screaming.

"SKYLAR!" shouted Zex as he saw his love get stabbed by a giant icicle. He is now starting to glow red, removing the icicle from Skylar, he fuses it with his sword. "Don't worry dear, it'll be alright" he said as he started to patch Skylar's chest up to the point where she's a bit alright. He then turns to the creature This plays "I want you to die, you hear me amigo?"

Skylar, healed though she may be, was still unconscious and was kind of useless. Dragon-Wolf was just a wolf, and he wasn't sure what he could do that wouldn't be like committing suicide. He stalked behind Zex and waited, tail thudding against the snow.

Somari, meanwhile, seeing Skylar being attacked like that, and being unconscious now, immediately ran to her unconscious body, and picked it up, his attempted pose of calmness now gone as the blood from all of her wounds ran on him.

"Guys!", he yelled over the noise of the blizzard and the fight, "I'm going to get Sky outta harm's way! I'll also see if I can treat her wounds! You guys finish this guy while I'm doing so, alright?"

With this, he flew a bit of distance with her in his arms, until he seemed a good distance away, and started taking a good look at the wounds on her.

(Ye gods...), Somari thought, This girl DEFINITELY needs a trip to the hospital! ... If only there was one nearby...)

Luckily, Somari did not see that, as he was focused on Skylar.

(Don't worry Sky... I'll see if I can do anything...)

Suddenly, a bit of an epiphany kicked into his mind, as he suddenly got an idea.

He quickly plucked off some of the larger hairs on his head, picked up two sticks off the ground, and started rubbing one on the other to make it smaller and sharper.

He was going to help Skylar, and with the knowledge of the video game character he was, he knew how to do it.

As Somari rubbed the sticks together, he said to Dragon-Wolf,
"These wounds are severe; it's a miracle she hasn't died of blood loss! But! I can stitch up these wounds! They won't save her completely, but the artificial stitches made up of my head-hair and the needle made of this stick, can at least stitch up the wounds and decrease the blood loss and keep her alive until we can get her to a professional."

Somari focused harder on getting the stick just right, so he did not hear or see Dragon-Wolf beyond that.

After getting it sharp as a needle, he used the other stick and poked a hole in the bottom section. Once doing so, he dropped it into the snow for a minute or two, then pulled it out, then stuck a strand of his hair in the hole, before sticking it into the skin of one of the wounds, and moving it to the other and repeating, stitching up the leaking wounds.

After a small bit of time, Somari had finally stitched up the last wound. If one were to look past the rings of dried blood around the skin, and the fact that the wounds were not completely closed, one would probably assume that she had been stitched up by somebody who actually knew what they were doing, rather than by a boy acting out of a combination of fear, panic, desperation, and new knowledge thrown into his brain.

He reached a gloved hand towards her, and held her arm a few seconds. "... Warm. She's still perfectly alive, and, all things considered, in perfect condition. Although, trying to regain her consciousness now would probably be a bad idea... she'll probably need to be warmed up first... wouldn't want her to wake up numb..."

With that, he picked her unconscious body off the ground, clearly requiring quite a bit of effort to do so, and exclaimed, to nobody in particular, "Sky's gonna be fine, but we need to keep going! These wounds would be best to leave sitting in a warmer area! It would be too dangerous to leave them exposed to too much snow and water!"

Zex then finishes off the creature by slicing it cleanly in half. Causing it to disintegrate into thin air. He then follows suit with Somari in taking Skylar to safety

Unable to do anything to help due to his frozen leg, Axel stood there and watched as Zex finished off the creature and Somari treated Skylar's wound.

He solowly stood up and called out to his friends through the bellowing winds.

"G-Good work! Now.......... lets m-move on!!" he said. He morioned for them to follow him, as he resumed his trail towards his uncle's forge.

Somari tried to calmly follow them, calmly walking through the blizzard... but alas, the combination of his small kitsune stature, short legs, and the girl in his hands only made him drag along.

Somari tried running through the snow.

... Failed. It was too deep.

He could try flying.

... Nope. He was still carrying Sky.

Finally, he had a solution.

He started spinning his Tails very quickly until... he was actually flying ACROSS the snow, rather than through it. It helped him go faster, and if he wanted to, he could easily, beat all of them... but he didn't. For two reasons. One, he wasn't competitive at anything other than video games. Two, he had no idea where he was supposed to go. So, he only did this whenever he was too far behind the group. And it helped him keep up well.
