She also sings to herself, only people with really good hearing can hear her, trying to calm herself down. Her voice is fragile, but beautiful. "I sat on the roof and kicked off the moss. Well, a few of the verses, well, they've got me quite cross. But the sun's been quite kind while I wrote this song. It's for people like you that keep it turned on."

Mace looked over, and she'd realized what she had done... even if he was a teenager. She put away her watch and walked up to him. She knelt down to his level and hugged him, silent tears dripping down her face, "I'm sorry." she whispered so only he could hear.

"... my sister sang that song to her girlfriend." she said daring not showing she was crying. "She sang that song to her every time the teenagers beat them up or bullied them... then one day, the song couldn't even fix that... and they died together."

Skylar got herself another cup of coffee but as she saw other people crying she shoved the cup of coffee away and cried herself. She pulled out the locket and opened it and stared at her brothers and sister.

Why? Why had she escaped death, and not them? If she had died and her older brother was still around, he would've made sure that none of this happened... He would have solved the case already. Why did he have to die?

'It's okay, Bus. Don't cry. Don't cry.' Skylar remembered those words which would make her stop crying. Not now. They couldn't help her again - now or ever.

Suddenly, Skylar's phone began singing Spider Pig. She picked it up and pressed it against her ear. She listened for a moment, then her eyes widened.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" she yelled, getting stares from customers. "Okay, Dad, I'm on my way!" She hung up and slammed the table, pushing herself up.

"Guys! This is no time for tears! I've got an adopted brother now!" she shouted.

((Brother:
Name: Dragon-Wolf Kiritsu
Age: 13
Personality: A nice guy, but sure can roar and sure can get angry.
Strengths: Very persuasive. Girls also fall for him, but he's oblivious to it.
Weaknesses: Sometimes being too nice has its problems...
Appearance: Looks like a young version of Shi-Long Lang.
Inventory: A pistol hidden deep in his jacket pocket.

Skylar led them to her mansion. She fished inside her pocket and pulled out a set of keys and opened the door. She let them in, closed the door and led them into her sitting room. It was massive, with paintings and photographs lining the walls. There was a teenager sitting on one of the massive black leather sofas, watching the 42 inch plasma TV. When he noticed Skylar's presence, he turned the television off and stood up.

"Name's Dragon-Wolf," he said, grinning.

"Skylar," Skylar replied.

"I know," Dragon-Wolf replied.

"So do I," Skylar grinned and they hi-fived. "Well these are my friends."

Dragon-Wolf looked at them. "Hey."

"You know NOTHING about bad situations!" Dragon-Wolf yelled, losing his composure. He was biting his tongue to stop himself from shouting. He looked at a photograph on the wall, which Skylar noticed was new. The photograph showed Dragon-Wolf with two girls and a woman holding up a photograph of a man who looked somewhat like Dragon-Wolf.

"I don't care about you, Marquis. Skylar. Get me a cup of coffee. Bitter coffee."

Skylar nodded and scooted off to the kitchen.

Dragon-Wolf flung the coffee at the wall and the mug smashed. The cleaner came rushing in, yelled at Dragon-Wolf for a minute, then began cleaning up. Skylar came in with a cup of coffee and handed it to Dragon-Wolf. He gave her a fake smile then his solemn look returned. She stared at Skylar.

"The only reason I'm here right now," he said, using the fingers of his free hand to brush Skylar's hair out of her face. "Is because you reminded me of Lamia, Macy."

He pointed at the girl with her arm wrapped around his in the photograph.

"She was my twin sister... She died 2 years ago in the hurricane that stole mine and Skylar's families, along with many more..." he sighed. "But there is no use dwelling on the past, is there? We should get moving back to that company's old building. C'mon, there's no time to waste. This case'll have a huge effect on our status. Skylar and I could even elect you guys as a 'Children Council'."

Dragon-Wolf's grin had returned, and along with it, Skylar's soft smile.
