Ty walked to the van and retrieved one of his bags. From it, he pulled out a large pair of over the ear, professional studio quality headphones. He plugged the jack into the computer and put them on.
He pulled up the file from before and played back the file from the marked point. He listened closely.........

Argyle flipped through the diary, which seemed to be a logbook of crimes from 1861-1880. Most of the crimes are mundane. Petty theft, drunken brawls, and the like. Near the end you see personal remarks about "that damn rapist savage" and "the pox" everyone seems to have. The Sheriff (who you can identify as having the last name Pritchard) has one final note.
"That goddam savage cursed us all with this disease, even Esme. He'll make his peace in Hell, but now he's dragging us all down with him. I had to do what I had to do to set things right. Now I have to do one more thing. Lord rest our weary souls." As he read the last line, Argyle swore he heard a gunshot reverberate around him, though Aeria heard nothing. Kicking up a little more dirt, Argyle noticed an old revolver under the dust by the skeleton's left hand.

"It's okay," Jean whispered to Victoria. He gave her hand a quick squeeze, "Now let's listen to this."

He handed the headphones up to Jean. He sat down in the van, shocked from what he heard. His whole body was filled with terror....and yet, there was also a hint of excitement within him as well; a small desire to continue searching.

He looked around the town. "Whatever is here doesn't want us to leave, no, it isn't allowing us to leave." he said suddenly. "I believe there may be some significance between 'Welcome home' and the van's mysterious inability to start." His voice was firm at this point.

"Wait... The pox? You mean, everyone in the village died of some disease?" she gasped. That wasn't how she'd expected things in the village to have gone. She more expected everyone had just moved out. That was just Aeria being foolish, however. She didn't really want to accept that everyone had died in her mind.

"Aeria, did you hear a gunshot just now? As for whether they all died of disease, I'm not sure," he answered. "I don't know what the sheriff means when he says he 'had to do what he had to do to set things right'. It's possible..." It's possible he killed them all before the pox he speaks of could. Either way, everyone here died. He let himself trail off, then closed the journal and pocketed it, turning to the skeleton. "Sorry, Sheriff. I'll need to show the others this journal so we can figure out what happened here. I'll give this back when we're done." He turned back to Aeria. "Let's go back up."

He was suddenly cut off as a seventh figure randomly appeared, joining the circle the group was standing and talking in.
"My child!" A middle aged woman in female western attire screamed, "He's dead. He's dead. He's..." Suddenly the figure turned and shrieked.
"No! He's after me!" With one last cry she disappears as suddenly as she appeared.

Tyray went to the camera and took the card to place it into his computer. He pulled up the video and played it.
The video showed the group standing across from each other talking, and then the seventh figure appeared: the woman in the old time clothes calling about a child. And then disappeared just like that. Nothing else was there. Or was there?
"That's pretty scary" he commented again.

In the footage, you could see in the reflection of a window a figure with a cowboy hat and a duster armed with a revolver walking away after the woman disappears.

It was a simple little house. The room past the foyer appeared to be a living room, with a small coffee table in the center, a bench to one side, and a rocking chair in the corner. There was a window from which you could see the barn. Around the room were candlesticks and paintings of people on the walls.
