Nadine wheezed painfully beneath the crushing pressure of the castle wall. One hand was clutching Saile - a dread built slowly as she realised a human may not have survived the force. Hearing a familiar, layered voice, Nadine gasped out a name before falling unconscious. Ubrig...

"An angel?! Tch... angel, you tread this world too freely. Let man work his own a-FFIARS!" Adam said, lunging at Walt and landing a blow across his face while he was focused on Eve.
((I did mention Adam was going to punch Walt before. :3))

Adam used the momentum to spin around and land a kick square in Walt's chest. He pushed, sending the both of them in opposite directions.

Eve momentarily was blocked by the barrier, but again, she started to pierce it, harmonics now audibly ringing. The oncoming wall of sand, too, was defended as well: from where she stood by Hubris, she opened her mouth and let loose a single note. A burst of sound came from her open mouth, the equivalent of a sound-cannon, and at the speed of sound tore through both air and ground until intercepting the sand-- both the burst of sound and wall collided.

There was no time to lose. Walt clutched his chest where he had been kicked and got back up. His face stinging from the punch. But he couldn't focus on that. Before Eve could grab Hubris again, he cast a warping spell on him, letting him warp a fair distance behind Walt. Then, he let himself get angrier. There was little time for a fight. Air swords surrounded both Adam and Eve and started slashing at them...

Adam scoffed at Walt's trick. "The dirtiest of blows...!" He barked "You would be willing to kill your comrade just to keep us from him!? You are more of a monster than you make us to be..."

The conditions Adam and Eve shared were responded to in completely different manners. Adam began to parry and block as fast as he could, never standing still as the sudden onslaught of summoned swords attempted to end him. Eve, however, did not seem phased by them at all, shrugging of the blows and occasionally reaching out to push a blade aside. Again, her body was reacting strangely, a deep hum that became louder every time a blade connected with her skin. No wounds were left, and each blade that touched her kept buzzing momentarily. She walked at a brisk pace towards where Hubris had been sent, headed straight for Walt-- and very likely aiming to go straight through him.

As for Hubris, he had fallen after the teleportation, and had yet to get back up. He was still unable to think clearly from Eve's magic, and his head hurt terribly, as if somebody had taken a hammer to his head. And there was something else...

"What do you mean by that?!" he asked. "How did I just endanger Hubris's life?!" He was already losing what little patience he had. This was very important...The swords stopped slashing, harmlessly dangling in the air. Then, he saw Eve walking straight towards him. Well, not toward him, per se. He could move and she'd head straight to Hubris. But he had to protect his friend. He quickly gathered up the ruins of the castle to make a wall between him and Eve to stall for time.

Ubrig pointed the coil of blood into the air and it shot straight up.

Spoiler: Ubrig sheet.

Powers:
Leiden’s Stille: Nullifies any magic casting abilities of the target and suffocates weaker targets.

Stollen Atem: the casters sword shatters into small shards and is launched at the target, A vortex forms around the target and rapidly spins the sword shards and cuts the skin. The attack itself does little damage but causes massive bleeding. The sword re-shapes after the attack.

Stutzer Aber Echt: Any blood in the area fuses and creates a Blood Knight, The Blood Knight is weak against Water/Thunder based attacks. But no other magic can harm it. The Knight is unaffected by physical attacks.

Stutzer Ertrinken: All blood in the area can be controlled by the caster, The blood cannot block physical attacks but magic attacks are weak against it when controlled by the caster. The blood cannot leave the ground unless it is touching something, Unless the caster shoots it straight into the air. Thus creating the Blood Rain effect. Blood Rain makes it so the skies rain blood, The caster can only fly when this effect is in place.

In Trauer Geben: The target is forced into a casket and is buried alive, After 30 seconds, If the target does not get out then the casket explodes, The explosion is an instant death skill to weaker targets and deals massive damage to other Players/Seraphs.

Meer Von Seelen. This skill cannot be cast unless every other skill has been cast. (other than Stutzer Rasant) This can only be cast when there are 3-4 dead bodies in the area, (unless the Blood Rain effect is active, then no bodies are needed.) The Target is thrown into the air and is trapped inside a sphere of blood, The blood floats in mid-air and keeps the target inside. Also, Any excess blood is thrown into the air and creates the Blood Rain effect.

Stutzer Rasant: This skill can only be cast when the Blood Rain effect is cast. The Caster gains control of blood lightning, This skill is deadly to weaker tartgets and devastatingly destructive to buildings and shields.

Weapons: Leiden Brecher. (A sword made of pure platinum.)

Appearance: Very old, Wrinkles on his face give him a look as if he is always solemn.
Armor made of pure gold with gloves emblazoned with rubys on the knuckles are worn.

(Blood Rain Active)

May the sound of raining blood be the requiem of your soul! Stutzer Ertrinken!

Ubrig collected some of the raining blood and launched it at Adam.

Ohh, how nice. Mark said as he pulled Nadine off of his back and threw her at Saile.

Saile caught Nadine and set her on the ground.

Saile smiled, knowing Walt wasn't around to hog Nadine.

Nadine got to her feet and smiled at Saile nervously. I suppose I have to be light to fly... She coughed from the weight that seemed to be lingering on her from the collapsed castle and took a ready stance in front of Saile.

Adam forced himself to dive out of the way rather than flinch. The sheer volume of blood was enough to turn his stomach, but to let an opening come up at this point in the battle...

'All I can do is distract them and defend Eve. Nothing more.'

Eve approached the ruin wall, and gently placed a hand upon it. The entire wall began to shake violently, small chunks falling off from the very top. It was very clear she intended to collapse it, to break it apart with sound-bombardment. However, she started to push as well...

"..." That asshole won't even answer me! Walt thought with disgust. He wanted to ask again. Then, he noticed the wall shaking, bordering on collapse. And yet Eve was obviously planning on just walking right through once the wall was gone. Walt had to stop her...But what could he do? He tried reinforcing the wall with another wall, but then he noticed that his spell was much weaker. Even with the second wall, the whole thing would topple in a manner of seconds. He had to do something. Anything. To get her away. He made the wall explode, hoping that would at least knock her back.

The explosion sent the fragments of the wall all over, yet when the smoke cleared, Eve still stood where she had before. All harmonics had ceased with Walt's explosion, and she stood there, slightly stunned by the blast. Her arm was still outstretched, and her hand was still holding a piece of the wall.

Or, rather, her hand was inside the piece of wall, which was now stuck around her hand. It looked like one of those bizarre paintings, where objects had been drawn 'through' each other. With another deep hum, the rock fell right through her flesh, slightly dotted with blood around where it had been stuck. Likewise, her hand was deeply discolored where the wall fragment had been stuck. She continued to hum her new note, and presumed to walk forth, occasionally passing-- not around --but through debris, like a ghost.

((Betcha didn't see that one coming~! Hooray for misdirection (with subverted 'running out of ways to express them')!))

Walt wasn't sure what to do. How to act. He wanted to cure Eve's discolored hand, but at the same time, he wanted to keep her away. This odd combination confused him. The blood raining everywhere didn't help, either. He already knew his spells were weakened. That probably meant his curing spells, too. Walt did the only thing he could think to do. A blue light surrounded Eve, and she levitated thanks to Walt's spell.
"Tell me about what I did to Hubris!" Walt shouted fiercely. "How did I endanger his life?!" He had no way of threatening Adam, though. He couldn't force him to tell...Or could he?
No, I won't do that, he thought. Not after last time I tried to do it... In spite of himself, he cast a curing spell on Eve, using a lot more energy than he should have. Once her discolored hand became normal, he was satisfied. But kept mentally scolding himself for helping an enemy.

Eve paused, and held her healed hand up to her covered face. Turning it around slow and deliberately, she blindly inspected the now undamaged hand before letting it drop limply to her side. She gave a small smile, and embraced Walt with a slight sigh.

The moment she made contact, visions assaulted Walt's mind like knives. Images of explosions, of death. Hyper-realistic, disoriented visions of countless armored beasts, faces hidden in swaths of shadow, swarming from all horizons, to what looked like a cluster of huts or stone houses (it couldn't be determined, they wouldn't stop changing shape, and very often looked like faces in grimaces). The very sky itself was stained with blood, occasionally dripping giant raindrops of ruby to splash on the oncoming demons. The monsters seemed to grow in size as they got closer, and from the images-perspective, it looked as if they were charging to the watcher. The creatures came running through, clashing against the buildings and with each other, tearing and stabbing. Bursts of thunder erupted from their hands, and millions of bodies rained from the heavens, holes through their bodies and skulls releasing trapped screams from the dying souls, until they came crashing to the ground, mangled by the impact--

Eve let go of Walt, and the visions ceased. Her sigh ended, a sweet, gentle note, almost sung. She gave another smile, then walked around him gingerly.

Walt collapsed once Eve let go, feeling sick to his stomach. He had seen death before, but that...He looked up at Eve, who smiled and began to walk around him. Then, he remembered. Hubris. Walt, still on the ground, grabbed Eve's hand.
"Stop for a second, please. What's going on? What are you going to do to him?" he asked. What was he going to do if she was going to kill him? His adrenaline was slipping away. He couldn't really do anything to stop her. His magic was already weakened.

Ubrig called back the blood and it swirled around his body in a giant vortex.

Stand and fight!

Ubrig put the blood on the ground and he stepped on it, the blood sped forward with Ubrig on it.
He pulled out his sword as the blood rocketed at Adam.

((The blood is flat on the ground, he's riding it like a magic carpet.))

Blindly, he stabbed into the air, slowly, as if practicing thrusts, but quickly picking up speed. As if somebody had lit a fuse, he suddenly let out a battleshout, and fiercely stabbed the air before him as his foe approached. Now, however, every jab ignited with a short, quick burst from the end, a frightening pyrotechnical display of frenzied rage. Without losing any energy in his pin-point jabs, Adam dashed forward to intercept his seraphic foe.

It was a game of chicken, to see who would flinch first: The sword-ready angel riding on a swath of blood, or the swordsman protecting and attacking with a wall of explosions.

Walt wasn't sure what to do. Should he stop her? He knew he couldn't stall her for much longer. What was the point in even trying now? But what if she was going to kill Hubris? She just walked over to him, oblivious to Walt. He saw Hubris reach up and grab her hand, and knew that he didn't want Walt to interfere with whatever Eve would do. It was too late for him to help now...For better or for worse, he couldn't deny his friend what he wanted.

Unsure of how to help in this 'game', Nadine stepped forwards to Saile, taking his hand and squeezing it gently. Despite her worry, Nadine suddenly thought of Walt. I hope he's okay... She chewed her lip and focused on Saile'd hand in hers, staring defiantly at her father.

Ubrig used the blood to create a moving wall. And with it he kept charging at Adam, But just before the blood got to Adam, Ubrig jumped into the air just above Adam. He fell with his sword pointed down.

Adam used the force from his last explosion to spin around, renewing his inertia. He switched the sword to his left hand, and shifted where he stood, preparing for one final, precise attack.

He made a heavy thrust with his own sword, upwards at the angel's body, and took Ubrig's blade between his shoulder and other arm.

"...what... what are you, lady?" Hubris muttered. He couldn't see her clearly, and was having a hard time hearing. It seemed to be getting worse, in fact.

Eve never opened her mouth, yet Hubris could hear her words as if they were his own. "Death, and rebirth."

After muttering to himself a few times, Hubris collapsed. It was hard to make out what he said the second time, but to the ears listening, it sounded like something about 'Death'.

Through Eve, the 'observer' continued to study the surrounding area. The 360-view that Eve's helmet provided gave It a better, clearer way to observe how things progressed at ground level, compared to from just above.

'The magician seemed to have finally succumbed to Adam's attack and prior fatigues.' It though to itself, considering the situation. It took notice of Adam's fight. 'The subject has also come to the end of his stamina. The ARMANA unit also seemed to be fighting with "borrowed strength". With a wound like that, I can estimate that he will not survive the encounter, should it last much longer... it is a shame he never agreed to allow a core implant, I could have monitored him much more easily that way...'

The 'observer' paused, yet again taking a curious inspection of the angel. '...should the entity's body remain intact, I will have them collect the corpse for further study. To incorporate suitable technological and structural data into our own would prove beneficial, and my own... personal... curiosities would thereby be quenched as well.'

When Hubris collapsed, Walt didn't know what to do. Should he...Get Eve away from him? How would he? He looked at the helmet, feeling as if it was somehow staring at him. Judging every movement he made. Walt sighed. I must be going crazy from all this fighting. He hesitantly got up from his place on the ground and walked over to Hubris. I can at least do something, right? I gotta check... He knelt down and grabbed Hubris's hand, checking for a pulse. If he had one, he'd find a way to save him.

The blade, from the outside inward, the shrapnel slammed Adam's thick armor, impacting and occasionally slicing it. From what was already inside Adam, the damage caused by the blade was severe. He coughed up blood and nearly fell, but held fast as he returned the favor.

The tip of his own blade let loose a fiery explosion from within where it had pierced.

((Considering Adam's power, this is a bit of an irony.... Irony tastes like butter biscuits.))

Eve turned to look the very instant Adam was mortally wounded. Behind her thick mask, an unknown emotion spelled across her face. Immediately, she knocked Walt away and grasped Hubris by the hair, hoisting him straight up with superhuman strength. She turned about holding him like that, and started to walk to the fight of her injured partner.

"W-wait..." Walt said weakly. What now? Are you going to save him, too? "I...I can help." He got up from his kneeling position and walked briskly behind Eve. What would he do? What are you thinking, Moron? If you heal him, he'll just try to kill you! And you don't have enough energy to heal a wound like that...
But I can't just stand aside and do nothing, can I?
Maybe that's exactly the problem. You always want to get involved. Why don't you just give up?

Ubrig flew to the side, the explosion removed a huge chunk of his armor and his skin was badly burnt.

You'll not find me so weak like Saile.

Ubrig put his hand on the wound, blood flowed from the openings on his armor and they circled the flesh; Healing it.

Ubrig lifted his other hand up, and with it a wave of blood.
He touched his finger to the blood, creating a small vein with which he was connected to it.

He pointed at Adam, the blood rushed towards him.

((2 things; 1: Ubrig controls blood by touching it. He can call it towards him or launch it only in straigt lines. And 2: the Blood rain effect lasts only 15 minutes; which is equivalent to 15 posts by me, then he must obtain NEW blood (not blood made from the Blood Rain effect) to create another rain.))

I... Nadine's face twisted with outrage as she understood Mark's proposition. But you know that's unfair! Saile's not an angel any more! Her hands curled into fists at her side and she clenched her teeth. Demon or not, he's exactly the same.

Walt had no clue what to do. Betray Ubrig to save Adam? Why would you do that?
...I've seen...I've just seen so much death...I can't stand it anymore...And Eve...If Adam dies, what will happen to her? I'm willing to wager she'd get stronger. A million times so. And once that happens, there will be nothing I can do to save...Adam must live if we are to get through this.
Walt cast a small, weak shield in front of Adam. He would have done more, but he needed to conserve as much energy as he could...If he was going to keep Adam alive. The weak shield would only delay the blood for a second or two. That's all I can do if I want a chance to cure his wound enough for him not to die...
