Description: Short black hair, hazel-colored eyes, slightly short in stature, but thin. Not the handsomest, but looks decent.
Clothes and equipment: Red lightweight cloth shirt, black lightweight cloth pants, sheath for the sword, black fingerless gloves, and a lockpicking kit strapped onto a black leather belt.
Background: Hailing from a small village in the kingdom of Larcenia, Jay made his living working with locks and trap mechanisms. He studied them and found out what made them tick, so he knows a good amount about them. He also looted the occasional chest, but he wasn't like the other thieves... He had morals, as can be seen when he fled Larcenia when the war started. He's a wanderer now, looking for a big group that might need a good 'locksmith', or just a friendly companion to have around (and get them the occasional treasure chest-ful of gold...)
Personality: Jay is a renegade thief, and although he is called a thief, he isn't much of a moneygrubber; he deals more with the lockpicking and trap-disabling fields of thievery. He became a renegade thief after fleeing Larcenia because of the war they had instigated. He is quite friendly and for that reason, he has had trouble with people taking advantage of him. However, in stressful times, he can be extremely serious, but keeps a cool head in most situations.

Okay, aside from the SC thing I said above, I have one more announcement to make.
It seems that we've come so far that many people will refuse to read the eight pages we've gone by so far in order to join. Therefore, I propose that anyone who wants to, can create a second character to join after Grace and Jay do. I'll definitely be doing that, but I'll set him up at a later date. If you don't want to, that's fine. I just think with more characters in battle, the more character development we can achieve.)

Xero looked over at Chelsea, and saw her wake up. "Good evening, Your Highness."
Chelsea looked up. "Oh... hi." She sat up. "... Did I pass out?"
"Yeah, but we took care of the rest for you," said Xero.
"... Grandmother..." Chelsea felt tears coming into her eyes.
"It's alright, Your Highness," said Xero. "We'll get revenge for what happened..."
"Mm..." Chelsea looked down. "You can call me Chelsea, you know... it's kind of silly for you to call me Your Highness."
"Oh." Xero sighed. "Er, listen... Chelsea. I.. have to apologize for taking you out so forcefully of the castle like I did."
Chelsea shook her head. "Oh no, that's alright... it was foolish of me to refuse to leave and let myself die... and you helped me see that... thank you." She looked at him. "I have to get revenge for what happened to my grandmother and my kingdom. ... I won't let them get away with this."
"Oh, that reminds me... you're the Verdia Princess, right?"
"Mhm..."
"Have you always been like this?"
"L-Like what!?" Chelsea looked at him defiantly. "If you mean my love for money--"
"No! No, nonono," said Xero quickly. "Has it always been peaceful for all of you, despite the few wars that have broken out?"
"... Well... yeah," said Chelsea. "I mean, I've been living at the castle my whole life. ... But what about you? Have you lived at Arsenia castle all of your life?"
Xero gritted his teeth; he didn't like to be asked about his past, because it hurt. "I... I... can't say."
"You... can't say?" asked Chelsea.
Xero nodded. "I'm sorry... it just hurts too much."
"Well, that's alright," she responded. "I'll be tagging along with all of you as long as it takes to get revenge on Larcenia. ... If you feel like you need to tell me, I'll listen. I promise."
"Thank you, Chelsea," said Xero, and he stood up. "Shall we go, everyone?"

It had been a while since his last job, that fiasco his companion Jenna dragged him into. Currently, he was being hired as a mercenary by some country or another. He didn't care which, really. He stopped remembered names after a while. He would be working for one, one day, and the other the next, so there was no point in leaning the complicated back stories of either. Yawning after he had shaken on their new deal with the man, he headed off to where his beddings were. He wondered how Jenna was handling all of those greenhorns. Quin thought, for sure, she had killed a few by then.
