"So we've got a mystery girl, dragons and a Mafia gang to deal with, eh? Oh well, no point moaning about it." He smiled, tipped his shades back over his eyes, and continued,
"Do you still want my help? Because I may have been exagerating a little when I said I was busy, and I've never been one to leave a mystery alone. Even if it may have got me into trouble a few times..."

As the man dissapeared in a crimson light, Cyrus turned back to Jade "I need to contact Kane, tell him you're safe..."
Jade nodded,
"Go ahead...I need to talk with the detective anyway."
Should...should I tell him? About what I did? No...it's not important. There's no point in dregging up my past. It'd take too long to explain anyway. I came here to start a new life...away from TDB and magic and everything...and here I am. Back once again. Wherever I go...whatever I do...it keeps coming back to this. Maybe...someone's trying to tell me something....

Eddy span round, saw the dragon and his expression darkened. He instantly lept into action, grabbed the bag that had lain at his feet, and ran to the other side of the bar, putting as much distance between Cyrus and himself as he could. He dived his hand into the pink bag in his hand, keeping his eyes on the dragon at all times and pulled out a huge knife. It was almost as big as his arm, and couldn't have possibly fit into the bag, but there it was. He held it by his side, and the blade started to glow a dark, metallic blue in his hands,
"Hello Cyrus. I haven't seen you in a while..." Careful to keep moving, he continued with a smirk on his face, "So where did you run off to after the last time we met? I've been dying to see you again...if it weren't for the team I might have gone after you myself. Then again there's a lot of people after you, isn't there, de Killer?"

Well there goes my theory that de Killer was a dragon... back to square one then... Wait a minute- what did he just say...what was that girl's name again..? It was Jade wasn't it?

Jade drummed her fingers against the step she was sat on, unaware as to what had just happpened in the bar. She turned as Kane exited the bar and stood up to let him pass,

Jade rubbed her eyes, and sighed
"I'm sorry, I'm not being much help am I? It's just..." She turned away from the dragon, and continued, quietly, "TDB...they destroyed my life...eleven years ago...that's when it all began. Since then...I've been running. And six months ago I thought 'This is it...This is my escape route. I can start a new life. Forget all about it.'" She paused, and said sadly, "I was wrong."

He took Lycos' arm and examined his shoulder "No he isn't."
Kane continued "Jade, you are a magi, all magus are in danger of being wiped out from this Earth... If we don't destroy TDB, then the Earth is as good as a sphere of death."

I wonder...I wonder when Garyuu Wave's next concert is...I should ask Becka. She'll know...then again I may not be alive to see it....
She shook her head, and looked round her. There was a man walking a dog on the other side of the road, it looked a little like Ammy....
Damn. I forgot to go home at lunch to let out Ammy. I still don't see why Becka wouldn't let me take her to the crime scene with us. She lets her in the office.
Jade pulled her mobile out of her bag, and dialed in her sisters number,
"Rebecca Fencer here..."
"Hey Becka, it's Jade."
"Oh...hey Jade. What's up?"
"I'm sorry Becka, but I've got into something... important. Could you let Ammy out for me?"
"Alright, I could do with a break anyway...I've been working on this case since I got home."
"You haven't even had tea?"
"Have you?"
"Well...no. But I'm not hungry. Here, I've got some food in my place. If you get hungry you can cook something up."
"Thanks, I'll head out now. But you better not stay out all night, we've got court tommorow, remember?"
"...How could I forget?"
"I know, I know. Alright, I'll see you"
"Bye."
She hung up, put the phone back in her bag with a sigh, and returned to watching the traffic.

Cyrus then pulled his right sleeve back and revealed The Dark Bliss tatoo that was on his shoulder, it was fading and on the verge of dissapearing completely.
