Ngghh... so.... PINK!

Howl slowly strolled towards the designated table, and sat across of Rose. He opened his menu, seeing many foreign names, as well as translations to the side. "Well... definitely a dedicated place... to France... the color pink...... and frills." He shuddered, vengtent to the thought of his closest businessmen seeing him in such a feminine location. He looked beside him, and empty chair presiding. He hoped it would be filled with Sheila's presence... to keep him away, and diagonal of his cooperative-rival.

"Um...Excuse me...Shouldn't someone...?" Sheila asked as Franziska, Howl, and Rose left the car. "Never mind. I got it..." She turned around and put Howl's seat down so she could reach her wheelchair, then opened the door. Okay...now what? She carefully lowered the chair to the ground and pulled herself into it using the handle by her door. "Oof. That hurt slightly..." Sheila wheeled herself into the restaurant and took the seat beside Howl.
"Pardon my slight tardiness..." she said. "This place is...really pink...and frilly." She smiled slightly. "Pink has never been my color." She looked at the menu. "Hm...What is good to eat around here?"

As Howl walked into the restaurant, Sheila to follow, Rose realized that nobody assisted her into the wheelchair. She decided that it was too late to help, though, and stayed inside. Sheila then entered in her wheelchair, seating herself beside Howl, and Rose was relieved that Howl was at least diagonal to Franziska, as it would be wolf against whip if those two were put together.

The restaurant was indeed full of pink and frills as the two prosecutors at the other side of the table remarked rather disappointedly. Rose nodded in agreement, and continued to look at the menu. "The choices are quite good, fitting a French restaurant," she thought, until she noticed the prices. "The dishes are...quite a bit...overpriced, aren't they?" she turned to the group and asked, even if their salaries are a tad more than average. But since the could not just leave the place as it was a business meeting, after all, she said to the waitress, "I'll be having the bouillabaisse, please," which was described as a 'traditional fish soup from Marseilles'.

(( *looks at PM* Hmm.... They're certainly interesting ideas ^_^. I think I'll let others speak their mind before I put my two cents in. If you guys could send your replies to all five of us, that'd be great. (like AoN did. ^-^) We'd be able to see what everyone thinks.))

Spotting a look of disgust on Howl's face, Franziska couldn't resist chiming in. She sat down in the seat next to Rose, and then rested her elbow on the table, supporting her chin with the back of her hand. Adopting her classic, ludic smile, Franziska waved her index finger in Howl’s direction. "Perhaps our prickly prosecutor has forgotten who suggested this establishment in the first place, hmm? It seems to me that the décor reflects your more. . . feminine side." She gave smirk and a sarcastic shrug, then opened the menu. Franziska never did care much for French cuisine. She decided to start out light. "Bring me a coffee." Closing the cheaply laminated folio, Franziska extended her arm so that the menu hit the waitress in the stomach. She gave the the girl a cold glare. "Don't forget the cream and sugar." Franziska held her gaze, waiting the the server to take the menu. To make sure her message was understood, Franziska revealed her whip, stretching it in front of her own torso. "Understand?!"

"I'll be having the bouillabaisse, please,"

Howl blinked for a minute, not wanting to finish his thought. 'Let it blow over... nothing can be clawed at yet... let her strut a bit... let her turn an open neck.' He huffed. "Yes, because I just 'radiate' feminine. Either you are as blind as a mole rat, or you have the most twisted idea of the 'female' characteristics... which would explain your outf-mmmph." Howl covered his mouth as quick as he could. 'This is going to take a loooot of will-power' He looked to the frightened waitress. "I'll take a coffee with a simple petal soup. Nothing complicated..." He might as well make her job as easy as he could... having to deal with the Whip and all.

Sheila patted Howl's arm. He was clearly making an effort to not insult Franziska, and for that, he deserved to be commended. But judging by how close he came, it wouldn't last long. She looked at the menu.
"You know, I like the sound of lobster bisque," she said. "And a drink of water."

Rose stifled a giggle, fiercely biting her lip as Howl tried ever so hard to discontinue his insults at Franziska. Sheila patted his arm, obviously feeling both sympathy and encouragement for him, though they all knew he wouldn't be able to put up with the blue-haired prosecutor or her whip any longer. "He'll blow pretty soon," she thought, waiting for a conversation other than Howl's desperate efforts, "but I suppose it will be quite amusing to see how long he can hold."

"Don't worry Bobby, this cre-... woman should be enough to lead us to the others." he said when the afro'd prosecutor returned.
"What makes you so sure...?"
Zed twitched in hearing that creepy voice, but he struggled to keep his cool. Could she be...? No no, I should shake off the bad thoughts, it shouldn't take much to find out who this woman is.

((Time restraints and writer's block. Terribly sorry for the wait. ))

"You know, I like the sound of lobster bisque. And a drink of water." Sheila finished ordering. Franziska piped up as soon as the waitress finished writing.

"Seeing as you have everyones' orders, I suggest you tend to them." Franziska brandished her whip in the direction of the waitress. She waited until the young lady left, then turned back to the rest of her entourage. Although there were countless comebacks Franziska could have used on Howl, she decided to digress. This was a business lunch. And even if he had chosen the restaurant, perhaps it would be better to let him suffer in silence, rather than her rub salt in his proverbial 'wound'. She set her whip down and folded her hands in her lap, resting her torso against the soft back of the chair. "Would anyone care to jumpstart the conversation? We are at our destination, after all. How may I be of service?"

Jump-start the conversation? But I'm not any good at that! Sheila thought, looking to Howl and Rose respectively. ...Looks like I'll have to do it, though, much as I hate talking about this case. She cleared her throat.
"Well, this case is absolutely strange," she began. "You see...the victim was a prosecutor, who turned out to be 'The Prosecutor Killer'...And he was supposedly murdered in the courthouse, but there is some evidence indicating that he might have been murdered elsewhere, then his dead body was shot in the courthouse, presumably to frame someone." She looked to Howl to see if she was messing anything up. ((*Goes to read over the roleplay to double-check*)) "There is also strong evidence pointing toward an accomplice."

Rose nodded, as Sheila retold the happenings of the last week. "Well, that's about right," she confirmed. "Now, our main point of discussion is how we go about our investigations. First of all, we have to obtain this 'magatama' that you were discussing," she said, turning her gaze to Howl. "Who will be responsible for this matter of getting the item from Mr. Wright, again?"

((@LWOD: Good luck with your contest and concerts! :phoenix: ))

"I believe that's where I come in." Franziska answered Rose in her inquiry. "Of course, before I can do that, we need to locate Mr. Phoenix Wright. Have we done that yet?" Shifting her eyes down, Franziska began to flashback to her times in court against that man. Every one of them had been a loss for her. Her two, and only losses since. Yes, Phoenix Wright. Ever the thorn in her side. It would be interesting to see what he had turned into. ((Hobohodo! :D))

She brought her mind back to the topic at hand, and decided to gather more information. " 'The Prosecutor Killer'? I vaguely recall hearing about something like that. Care to refresh my memory?" She expected that more facts about the killer would be necessary to move the investigation forward. "And do we have a positive identification on the victim, yet? How was he killed? Where was his corpse shot?"

((Oh, there you are, Akiak! Nice to have you back ^_^))

"You lead us to the DC, Ports, I know this place like the back of my head."

Portia nodded and on an afterthought, slipped a pair of handcuffs from her jacket pocket, locking them tightly around the woman's wrists. At least now, she wouldn't be running anywhere in a hurry.

"Our only option really now is to get the police involved. Technically, we just conducted an illegal search, though they might let it slide considering the circumstances... We can't take a cab or walk there- she'd draw too much attention- so I guess we'll have to call for a patrol car to take her down." she said, resignedly, as she flipped open her phone.

After a short exchange of words, Portia ended the call and turned to Zed.

"There'll be a car here in five minutes max. Meanwhile, I think we should probably run over what we've found here so we can report back to the others. I don't think they'd want to be kept in the dark much longer, do you?"

She couldn't seem to shake the feeling that Zed had encountered the woman before, something in his demeanour seemed to suggest that this was not their first meeting....

Rose nodded as Franziska replied to her inquiry. "I see," she said. "I recall hearing news that Mr. Wright was disbarred about a year ago, though I've forgotten why. His office may still be there, though. The Wright & Co. Law Offices, I think it was. Mr. Edgeworth knows more than I do, though. Maybe we should ask him."

After she finished, Franziska then said, "'The Prosecutor Killer'? I vaguely recall hearing about something like that. Care to refresh my memory? And do we have a positive identification on the victim, yet? How was he killed? Where was his corpse shot?"

"Oh, yes," Rose said. "I've forgotten that you were not there during either of our encounters. Sheila, care to explain to Franziska?"

"Er...Yes. Yes, of course," Sheila replied. She took a deep breath. "'The Prosecutor Killer' is the reason I am in this wheelchair, you may recall. We found his badge at the scene of the crime, which would positively ID him, along with fingerprints. We have yet to receive the autopsy report, so we're not certain what killed him, although we're pretty sure it was due to blood loss and death was immediate. "Mr. Edgeworth knows more than I do, though. Maybe we should ask him." Rose added.

No. No. There is absolutely NO way I am EVER going to that man for help. Ever! Franziska tightened the grip on her weapon, as if trying to suffocate it. There was no way in the world that she was going to ask her little brother for help. Ha. She didn't even know where he was! What was she supposed to do? Go find him, and then go find Phoenix Wright?! Nonsense. Her time was better spent seeking out the man they needed. Not running to him as if she isn't able to take care of herself! Franziska didn't need him; she was perfect!

Sheila then broke her train of thought, and answered Franziska's second round of questions. "'The Prosecutor Killer' is the reason I am in this wheelchair, you may recall. There is no positive ID on the victim as of yet. We have yet to receive the autopsy report, so we're not certain what killed him, although we're pretty sure it was due to blood loss and death was immediate. His corpse was shot in Sector S of the courthouse, the room right by the security room."

Through Sheila's explination, it appeared that they had made very little progress on the case. They didn't even know what killed him! “It seems to me you three need more information.” That would most likely be the first step. “Whom do you plan to question first?”

((@Lida: I don't think there'll be a need for you to take over Howl. If we need him to say something, we'll RP him. Until then, he can be a sort of amorphous blob following us around ^-^))

((MAGICAL TIME SKIP (because I can't be bothered to make conversation until the police get to the courthouse) it's now five minutes later!))

Hearing a siren, Portia looked up just in time to see several police officers troop into the lobby- and really she wouldn't have known they were from the police, had one of them not been her own sister. It was useful, she'd always found to have contacts anywhere and everywhere she could. After all, if criminals had all sorts of ties, in Portia's opinion it was only common sense for her to have them too.

"Hey, Liss, I need you to take this one down to the DC. Do not let her get away, do not let her speak to anyone, just take her straight to interrogation. I'll be down soon but there's some things I need to take care of first." she explained, shoving the woman into the grip of two officers, who bundled her into the car and out of sight.

Once they were alone again, Portia turned to Zed.

"I am going to say something and you're going to tell me if I'm right or wrong." she said calmly, looking him in the eye.

"I think this is not the first time you've met this woman. I don't know if you remember meeting her before but anything you know is something I need to know too."

A long silence followed.

"To tell the truth, I thought she was a certain person I knew since the day I was born, but that would have been impossible. Let's leave it to that."
Then Zed turned to Portia suddenly.
"Now Ports, weren't there some things you needed to take care of?"

((URK! Sorry...Writer's block and business...Nasty combo.))

"Good question," Sheila said when Franziska asked who they were planning on questioning first. She turned to Rose with a sly smile. "Asking Mr. Edgeworth won't be necessary. Mr. Wright and I were good friends back in the day. I've been keeping tabs on him." She chuckled as she recalled walking into Edgeworth's office and saying, "Mr. Edgeworth, I have a formal request to ask of you."
"What is it, Sheila?"
"I ask that you tell me what is happening with Mr. Wright. Please." She remembered Edgeworth's eyebrows rising to the roof.
"Why?"
"I know being a lawyer and defending the innocent meant everything to him, but I can't just randomly visit him after all these years. I would hope that you could just...be there for him and tell me what's happening..." Edgeworth sighed and reluctantly agreed, after constantly annoying him, to tell her how Phoenix was coping. About his adoptive daughter. About the Wright Anything Agency. About his job as a pianist/poker player. She couldn't help but wonder how Edgeworth obtained all that information. It wasn't like he was seeing Phoenix too often, himself. Then again, this was Edgeworth...She snapped out of her reverie.
"Let's just focus on obtaining the Magatama for now," she said to Franziska.

"Fine." Franziska crossed her arms and turned her head down. It bothered her that these fools didn't seem to have a plan of attack. Their methods seemed foolishly haphazard, and far from the perfection she was used to. Had it been her heading this investigation, things would be very different. For one thing, they wouldn't be using some metaphysical device to acquire information. What sort of fool's fool foolishly takes the word of a foolish fool such as Phoenix Wright?! What if the magatama didn't work? Franziska would have bet a whole month's salary (nothing to shake a stick at) that they didn't have a strategy, should that be the case. Chuckling to herself, Franziska pictured Howl attempting to read a defendant's palm. They appear to be willing to try everything else; why not that?

The waitress opened the door to the kitchen, carrying a the tray of various food items the group had ordered. It's about time. Franziska thought to herself as the waitress set up a stand for the tray, then set the tray down. Quietly, she served two bouillabaisses, one in front of Howl and one in front of Rose. Next was Franziska's coffee. She received a mug with black coffee in it, as well as a small pitcher of cream and a bowl of sugar cubes. Satisfied, Franziska sat quietly and waited for the waitress to leave. After handing Sheila her lobster bisque and a glass of water, the waitress took a quick curtsey and left, not even bothering to ask if the group wanted anything else.

Preparing her coffee, Franziska decided to get the group moving by suggesting their next measure. "I propose that, after we eat, myself and who ever wishes to come with go to Wright and Co. to find this "magatama". You all seem so intent on obtaining it, I can't see why we shouldn't do that first." She grabbed a spoon and stirred her coffee, mixing the cream and sugar into the black liquid. "Speaking of that, who'll accompany me?"

((Dangerous...temper-wise? Yes, it might be. And I recently had an x-ray and primary complex turned up positive, though I feel no pulmonary problems of any kind, only a slight pain in the neck (no pun intended). That might affect my RPing, so just be ready.))

Rose listened to the plan, and turned her head to see the waitress coming out of the kitchen once more, this time bringing their dishes on a gray tray. She nodded to her as a bowl of bouillabaisse had been placed in front of her. She savored the smell, and looked to see her affiliates, who had received their orders as well.

Franziska then said to the group, "I propose that, after we eat, myself and who ever wishes to come with go to Wright and Co. to find this 'magatama'. You all seem so intent on obtaining it, I can't see why we shouldn't do that first. Speaking of that, who'll accompany me?"

Nodding, Rose volunteered, saying, "I'll accompany you if you wish, Ms. von Karma. Hopefully there won't be any conflict in obtaining the magatama, so that the investigation may run smoothly."

((Eeeep!!! Once again, I dropped the ball! Er...Sorry about that...))

"Of course I will accompany you, Miss von Karma," Sheila answered. She took a sip of her water, then took a bite of her lobster bisque. And that was when her entire face contorted as she chewed and swallowed.
"Er...Tastes great..." Sheila lied, grabbing her glass and downing the rest of it in one gulp to wash away that flavor.

((I see. After a few weeks, though, I'm going to be in high school, and in Philippine Science, no less, so I doubt I can keep up after that. But we'll see.))

Rose turned her head to Sheila, as she complimented the lobster bisque, her face as though in pain. Raising one eyebrow, she took her soup spoon and tried the bouillabaisse. She suddenly winced at the mere taste. Trying to hide her distaste for the meal, she turned her head to the window and nodded, saying, "This has a very...unique taste," taking her water and drinking a few large gulps of water.
