Chase slowed down and listened. There was barely any sound. "Man, this doesn't make sense. The resources down here are a huge deal; why isn't there more security?" His voice reverberated through the hallways in an echo. "I've got a bad feeling here..."

Migoto began to look through the drawers of the desk. All she could find were papers, pencils, all boring stu- wait, hold on. What was this? She pulled out a Small, black velvet box. When she opened it, she grinned. It was perfect. "Oh Sylvester~ it looks like my baby brother is in love~"

"Don't tell me. A ring?" Sylvester smiled slyly, formulating an idea. "We're taking that for sure. We can waver his loyalty to the Thugs easily with this. See if you can find a birth certificate. Or any relation to yourself. That'll seal the deal for sure. Or - even better - a ransom item. Something that can lead him on a wild goose chase and away from his post."

Migoto looked at the ring, on the inside, there was an engraving, sp she read it outloud. "To Melissa, Love Yuui." she said, mockingly. She opened his laptop, and typed in the password, it was obvious to guess. "M-E-L-I-S-S-A."

Chase waved Anthony away. "No way the cops are here. Trust me, I've got a crazy awesome sense for the police. If they were a mile away, I'd know." He led the way into the storage room and looked around, spotting guns, records of thefts, and a large safe. Grinning, Chase set to work on opening it.

Meanwhile, 200 yards from the building, ten police cars awaited Floyd to arrive.

"Lemme try something..." Sylvester took the mouse and did a bunch of clicking. Eventually, he clicked a box and a button saying 'APPLY'. Almost immediately, a hellload of files appeared everywhere.
"..Found 'em. Just needed to reveal the hidden files. Oldest trick in the book." Sylvester inserted an aluminium flash drive with a few buttons on it into the computer. He pressed the first button. "In a few minutes, the contents of your brother's computer will be copied exactly as they are on to the flash drive. In the meantime, we need something of his he thinks we'll destroy. Something of significance to the gang. A one of a kind object. Something he will launch an assault to find. This will mean his remaining forces will be distracted while we carry out the second phase of the 'big plan'."

"You should know by now, Migoto..." Sylvester turned to her for the first time since they entered the room. "...that when I say 'I know.' it means that I've already dealt with it." Once again, he tilted his head slightly. "Yes, these cameras are recording us. Yes, if Yuui checked the tapes now, he'd know we were here. Yes, I've made sure that Yuui wasn't in the Security Room. Yes, the doors are electronically jammed and he cannot get in for a while. And by the time he can get in...well, just trust me on that one. It's a surprise!" He said cryptically, grinning with obvious glee.

Chase cracked the safe after a few minutes of work, and opened the large door gleefully. Inside was the Thug's loot, a collective stash of wallets, purses, cash, jewelry. Chase's face contorted into a grin of pure joy. "Jackpot!" He shouted.

Unfortunately, behind him were about 10 Thugs, including one giant one, with bulging muscles. He was almost twice as tall as Chase, and wider as well. "Looky here... We got some thieves stealin' from thieves." They all laughed, and Chase's heart sank when he heard them. "Anthony," he whispered, "I'll take the big guy. You take the rest."

"Cross my heart." Sylvester promised, crossing his heart. The flash drive beeped, and Sylvester pocketed it. There was a large painting near him. He noticed this and zapped it. The machinery was forced open and it revealed a small safe concealing a very large diamond.
"Bingo." Sylvester's hand swiped it up before he moved towards the door, having seen his watch. Clearly expensive. Clearly...well, you get the idea. "We need to go. Now."
He could only hope that others got to the roof in time. If not...

no matter how many Migoto has heard the conductor go off, that thing still scared her to death. "Jeez Sylvester!" she cried out. After he took the gem and started to head out, she followed suit.

Sylvester rushed down the stairs, his black sensible shoes clicking on the hard surface, not at all inhibiting his ability to run. By the time he got to the bottom of the stairs and pivoted on spot, he was in the corridor and then began sprinting, practically dragging Migoto by the arm.
((You'll want to deal with those Thugs quickly, guys.))

Migoto ran as fast as she could so that Sylvester didn't tear her arm off. "Sylvester!" She yelled, "I'm not a rag doll or something!" she wondered how the heck he was able to run so fast in that suit.

Chase smiled at the big Thug, dodging his amazingly powerful punches. Finally, one connected with Chase's cheek and he recoiled back... right into the stash of explosives held in the storage room. With a grin, he wiped the blood from his cheek and armed them, sprinting away and calling out to Anthony. "Come on! We gotta go!" he shouted, sprinting to the roof as fast as he could.

Finally, Floyd arrived at the scene and the police surrounded the building. "Everyone come out, and put your hands up!" one shouted over a megaphone, as they all stood with guns trained on the building.

Chase was barely winded by the time he reached the stairs. Years of police pursuit honed his conditioning, but stairs were his kryptonite. He steeled himself and bolted up, not thinking of his fatigue.

The police approached the building slowly, guns still out. Floyd cautioned them. "Watch out. I've got a bad feeling here..."

Migoto just laughed and continued running. She has never ran this much in a while. The way she saw it, if she did her job right, she had no need to run away because she would never be caught.

Sylvester met the bottom of the stairs to the roof just after Chase and heard the police. Sylvester laughed loudly, quipping: "This is going to be...great. Just great!" Finally, he reached the roof and saw the police cars. Pulling the others down, Sylvester noted that the cars were on the opposite side of the building to the warehouse. "Good. No deaths on my conscience." His watch turned to 21:29.
"Stay as you are, people!"

Chase huffed and puffed, but finally he reached the roof. He took a moment to catch his breath and looked over the side... Only to see a dozen police cars waiting for him. "Holy shi-" he began, before Sylvester emerged behind him. "I hope you've got a plan, here! I set the explosives. What now?"

"Don't worry; I have engineered this perfectly. See?" Sylvester persuaded, pointing the side of the building they weren't on. The one that promptly erupted into flames, chunks of debris flying everywhere except the roof itself. Two of the foundation pillars had simply crumbled, forming the aforementioned ramp. Sylvester ran down the ramp while the cops were in shock and the smoke impeded their view.
"Run. Now. RUN!...I swear, if they add terrorism to the list of charges..."

Migoto grabbed onto chase as the explosion went off. Then when Sylvester said to run, she did, but grabbing Chase's hand before she took off.

Chase didn't answer, sliding down the ramp and onto the ground in the cover of the smoke. The officers blindly fired their guns, unable to see through the debris flying everywhere. Chase led Migoto through the smoke, keeping her shielded by his body and towards the motorcycle parked, then turned it on and sped away, laughing all the while.

Floyd gasped as the building exploded, and he barked orders at everyone. Hearing the motorcycle speed away, he immediately turned around to see Chase and Migoto Murasaki driving away. He sprinted to his car and took off after them.

Migoto held onto chase tightly, shaking a bit. She had never been in an explosion before in her life, so this whole experienced scared her. Not to mention the bullets whizzing past them.

Hoping that Sylvester had escaped as well, the two shot down the street. Chase heard a police siren behind them and turned around to see Floyd Ambrose chasing them back to the hideout. "Aw, damn," he muttered, cutting into an alley abruptly. Floyd went around and spotted them emerging from it. Chase veered left and made a quick turn onto a highway, Floyd following suit.

He turned around and called out, "Hold on, Migoto!" then wheelied onto a truck ramp that wasn't holding any cars. They jumped out into the air and over the border of the highway. Floyd slammed the brakes and looked out over the city incredulously as the motorcycle landed with a jolt on a rooftop a short distance away. Chase jumped from lower roof to roof until he finally ended up on the ground. Parking in an alleyway, he hopped off the bike and cheered loudly, his adrenaline pumping faster than blood. "Wooooo! Can you believe it!? We totally got outta there!" He hugged Migoto and lifted her in the air, spinning around and around.
