"Hey there you two, name's Joshua." He nodded to the two brothers. "I just came over here outta curiosity, heard there was some thieving going on and I just had to see..." Joshua looked at the demon. "But, I have my reasons for being here. Smelt a demon. Now, I'm no hunter, at least not for player characters, but I felt compelled to say on guard. Demons are hardy things, and a strong one is something that could prove invaluable in the long run." Joshua looked around the group, observing the various races about him. "So, anyone willing to tell me what happened here?"

Ligus smiled on the inside, while keeping his outside face the same.

They call me many things, you can call me Ligus, Elf.
He turned his attention to the new people who were staring at him.

What, never seen a Demon Hero?

At the hoverboard approach and after handing over the money to Zoey, Ronan looked back, in time to see the brothers approach. The clothing and the hoverboards could leave no room for mistake, and as they announced their names, Ronan already waved to them. "Jay and Jeremy. Good to see you guys again.". Soon thereafter came the flying Mika. Did he just drop from the skies? Ronan thought, as the person told his name. Feeling that since everyone was introcuding themselves, he should do the same, he voiced: "My name is Ronan Farfnair, for those who don't know." His tone of voice was matter-of-factly, as everyone still seemed to be taking their conclusions upon the situation everyone was at now.

That Mika said the theft has been "very opportunistic", so the thief must have struck suddenly... as in an ambush... maybe that would explain her waitress uniform. Besides, no way would she be able to confront everyone in the group except in an ambush... she looks fast and dexterous, but not very strong. Ronan entered in a trail of thought. Soon thereafter, more introductions. The perpetrator revealed her name to be Verity. There was also Joshua, whose introduction would have been more remarkable had not been for Ligus, which made his presence even more heavy after introducing himself. Or that was how Ronan felt.

Joshua had made a good point, though. Ronan knew only half of what had went on there. "I saw this wo-" He stopped. She had given a name, it'd only be polite to use it. "I saw Verity... dashing across a road and into an alley, while carrying a remarkable amount of money and one too many purses with her, which I deemed as suspicious, and followed up to this point... not before someone else had passed me, gotten a grip of her and was pinning her to the ground as I caught up." Ronan narrated, not using Zoey's real name because she hadn't revealed it to the others yet, but he looked at Zoey when he said it. "As it happens, it seems to have been theft like I suspected, but I don't know how the story started. ...Maybe we should have some testimony from the victims and the accused?" He didn't intend to actually say that last part, but it came out anyway. He decided to wait for the others between Jay, Jeremy, Mika and Zoey to explain the situation more fully, while thinking about would the thief's fate be.

"Well, Ronan has the end part of it right," Jay stated affirmingly after Ronan prompted the group for testimony, "But here is what we know: Basically, we--meaning Zoey, Mika, Austin, Jeremy, and I--found our way to Angmere and decided to get a bite to eat. We stopped into a place that sounded good: an Italian restaurant we saw nearby. Our waitress was a bit... clumsy and absent-minded--sorry Verity, but it has to be said. Fast-forward to the end of our meal, and when everyone had gotten out their portion of the pay--Zoey had insisted we pay separately--it gets a bit foggy to us, but we think we saw her swipe the money and dash off. She may not make a good waitress, but she is a damn good thief, or at least a very quick one. I think someone else would know better what was going on during the robbery, because we were a bit dazed by the whole thing." Jay sighed in self-disappointment at this last bit. Imagine it; him and Jeremy, detectives, missing the most important part of the crime.

Ronan listened intently to Jay's narration of what had happened. He waited until it had ended to draw any conclusions. So it's true... it was a trap. This is a good piece of testimony, but maybe I shouldn't let the chance to press for a detail or two to pass... Ronan thought, his right index finger poking the side of his forehead as in deep in thought. He'd not cross-examine him because it seemed they were partially dazed at the moment. "I see. So this is what happened. Don't feel bad, Jay, it's not like you would expect yet another ambush in a restaurant after what you guys have been through. But it is odd. She might be very quick, but did she really expect to outclass a vampire AND a werewolf in speed?" He said, partially to himself, but then turning his head to Verity, wondering if she had anything to say for herself. "By the way, Jeremy, where's Austin?" He asked. Austin had been the most memorable member, and he wondered if he had had any motive to be delayed in his way there.

((I'll have to say to everyone that Lida might not be able to post for some time. She has sent me a message to that effect. So Austin will be inactive for undetermined time... :sadshoe: ))

Joshua chuckled a bit, and smiled. "Bah, so nothing too major. Just a clever thief doing her job is all!" Joshua put a hand to his scruffy chin. "The only thing I'm wondering about now, really, is where to go from here. I don't suppose any of you need another man for anything? I can be pretty handy if need be." Josh conjured a small whisp of wind that tussled the hair of the thief. "I'm not going anywhere in particular, and you all seem nice enough to associate with...albeit you're quite a varied bunch!"

Bah, I've got better things to do then babysit a bunch of children

Ligus turned around to leave but stopped.
He was staring far off in the distance, where a large number of bandits were heading straight for the town.

It looked to be about 40-50 men, all or horseback.
Ligus saw an NPC riding on his own horse and pushed him off.

Before the group or the NPC could react Ligus was on the horse and was riding towards the bandits.

Zoey folded her arms across her chest as she watched Ronan, Jay and Jeremy giving the details of the theft to the others. She was about to interject to remind them of the tactful tipping of the table when Ronan's next words struck home.

"Where's Austin?"

She had barely given a thought to the already weak werewolf before dashing after Verity, but now that Ronan mentioned it..he should have been one of the first ones here after her. However, she forced herself not to worry. He had just eaten to regain energy, so he should be fine on his own for a bit. Besides, Zoey was reluctant to let Verity out of her sight.

Verity sighed in relief as Ligus leaped away dramatically to pursue some bandits. Stretching her arms above her head, a grin finally broke the tension in her face as she sauntered to the person who had ruffled her hair magically - Joshua? - and slung an arm around his shoulders playfully as she used the other hand to fix the hair he had mussed up.

"Exactly. I was just doing my job." At least somebody here understood that. It was the profession she had chosen in the game, after all. "I guess it might have been a little stupid of me to try and rob a vampire but hey," she shrugged, "It was worth a shot. You do have a lot of money between you guys." Verity grinned at Ronan pointedly as he turned to her.

{{Just to summarize, I'm away from the main group hunting a mark. DOn't get confused.}}

A fox broke out of a nearby forest, and charged into town. THis was no ordinary fox: It had 3 tails, each one a different colors. It was huge for a fox: 5 ft tall. IT's feet glowed with a blue fire.

Seyicer charged on his horse, his sword drawn, "Get back here you cowardly fox!"
The fox was stubborn, it had been a long chase, and the horse was tiring.

But Seyicer had his number, they were nearing water. Lots of it."

"Come on, Mariah..." Seyicer whispered.

The fox started to turn, but immedatly resumed it's course, as Mariah appeared from the corner, and started chasing him.

Seyicer laughed. THe thrill of the hunt... he loved it.

They reached the river, and The fox stopped... and turned around.

Seyicer got off his horse and smiled, "You should have chanced Mariah."
He held out his hand, and brought it towards him.

A small bit of water engulfed the fox, dragging him into the river.

Seyicer waited for about half a minute, and forced the river to cough him up.

"Kitsune Fox: Vanquished." Seyicer declared, tossing the pelt to Mariah. "Go to the mark poster. and get our rewared... and sell the pelt."

As Mariah left, Seyicer took a walk around town, and noticed the same group hhe met earlier.: Oh, It's you guys..."

"Yeah Joshua, we would be delighted to have you with us, but I would let the others vote on it too," Jay replied when Joshua asked if he could join the group.
"Oh yeah, I just remembered," Jeremy spoke up suddenly, having noticed Ronan thinking deeply, "Mika picked up the table we were sitting at using some magic and flung it across the room. I just realized why he did this: it had been pushed over by Varity onto Zoey and Austin, who coincidentally both happened to be sitting on the same side AND were the most able to catch the thief with their superior speed. I have to admit it was a clever trick."
"Clever trick, yes, but still wrong to do," Jay remarked, turning to look at Verity, "But... somehow you don't strike me as an evil person. You were just doing your 'real' job after all." 'An evil person also wouldn't have returned the money so easily,' Jay added in his thoughts. "And it isn't just the vampire you should have been worried about," he remarked casually with a chuckle, letting tiny bolts of electricity arc between his fingers playfully for a bit, but showing no intention of doing anything else with his magic, "You are lucky we couldn't react quickly enough."

Joshua smiled at Verity and nodded, with a slight red tint to his face. "Yeah, no problem with that, just don't try stealing from me!...Well, not like I have anything anyway. Cept' this hat and my spells." Joshua looked around the group. "You know, there's no real reason to go aggro on, er, Verity. After all, she's a thief, an elven one at that. We elves are quick! It's normal." He looked back at the elven thief. "Although you really should be be more careful, not to be a killjoy or a more literal racist, but stealing from Vampires or Demons, hell in some cases Werewolves, is something you either do very well or not at all...then again I'm no thief so what do I know right?" Joshua's hunting tendencies were beginning to show through, as he was always good at fighting enemies of the Demon/Vampire variety. He, of course, understood that player characters weren't targets though, unless they tried to pull a fast one. "But, at any rate, I'd love to travel with you all...and I think it'd be a very good idea to keep an eye on this thief, so I recommend we take her with us. After all, she could try stealing from someone else!" Joshua's sardonic tone and smile were obvious to anyone with half a mind, but he did make a good point. The more the merrier, as they say! "The only major issue I'd have with going with you all is...well, where would we all be going anyway?"

Shooting Jeremy a wink as he acknowledged her skill, Verity's eyes fixed onto the magic buzzing at Jay's fingertips. She always had been fascinated with magic, but her job choice of thief wasn't one she would take back. It was far more exhilirating than being a magician. Slipping her arm out from around Joshua's shoulders, she  sauntered to Jay in order to look more closely at the playful electricity dancing at his fingertips.

As Joshua began to speak, Verity turned to him with a laugh. "You can't tell me how to do my job," she said, the smile on her face negating any possibility of insult. "But I agree that I need an eye kept on me," she finished cheekily. Really, how could she deny the opportunity to travel with this group? There were so many interesting people, men in particular.

Zoey disliked the way Verity's eyes constantly roved from man to man, seemingly ignoring her fellow female prescence. Perhaps that was a bit of a stretch to say, but Zoey had disliked her since they met in the restaurant. She could only be grateful that Austin wasn't here for her all too friendly demeanor, however 'innocent' it may be. "We generally travel on a 'whim' basis," she said to Joshua. "In that we do not have particular plans."

Verity rolled her eyes at Zoey's emotionless explanation, once again inspecting the lightning in Jay's hands with rapt attention. "Whims sound good to me."

"Interesting. Very interesting." Mika uttered to himself. A large grin appeared on his face. "As they say, the more the merrier."

He took a look at Verity, studying her elven features. Never seen an elf before... very surreal.

"Anyway, Ronan, was it?" Mika said, scratching his head. Introductions are hard. First impressions, too. You only get one. "I'm probably the only person here with Zoey and the brothers who you haven't met so... hello." he said, a small grin on his face, offering his hand. Although, a small thought was driving though his head. Is it really right to let this thief join the group so quickly...?

Well, I guess she was just doing her job... a thief could do no better than, well, steal. Ronan admitted in thought, looking from Verity to Joshua. Ronan had given little notice to the male elf with the stylish hat who had asked to join the team, but he struck him as someone of very nice, easygoing character when he spoke. A part of his mind labeled him as conceited, but he shrug that thought off. When Joshua directed a question to the group and Zoey answered, Ronan turned to her. Whim is not bad. It's not like anyone here seems to have a very set objective in this game... or do they? Regardless, it's quite an interesting bunch that is forming here. And I want to stay with them... at least the original group.

His eyes lingered at Zoey's sight for some time, and Ronan reckoned he should make matters clear that he intended to re-enter too. But before he could voice it, Mika talked to him, drawing his attention. He obviously made an effort in politely introducing himself, and Ronan beamed to him, and shook his hand with energy. "It is true, I unfortunately couldn't follow the group before you entered. But it's very nice to meet you now. If I am allowed in the group again, I'd like t have the opportunity of fighting alongside you." The thought of the past circunstances which made him leave the group made him remember something, one of the reasons why he had followed them.

"This reminds me..." He remarked, as he ended the hand shake and approached Verity and the Slezak brothers. "Jay, Jeremy, remember the inn we stayed over back in Tepple? After that... unfortunate incident with Austin, I woke up and left the inn immediately. I own you guys an apology for acting that way, separating from the group without a word, so... I am sorry. I had my reasons." He bowed to them, apologetic, although his facial features might not have shown it much, for he had another thing to say right after. "However, I came back to the inn afterwards. I found no one, and there was a book, a summoning book, missing from my room. Do you know if any of the people in the group took it?" Ronan's eyes darkened. The very book that had drawn his powers (maybe not the book itself, but it has been through it that it happened), and overwritten his class, it must have been took by a Player Character: the NPCs didn't often touch other players' belongings as far as he was concerned. While Ronan waited for the response, Seyicer seemed to have come back, and Ronan waved to him in greeting, although wondering how he had left and came back so fast.

((Sure, angel_of_nature, come on in the water's fine! And also, Ronan Ali, thanks for bringing that up. I had to look back at the old topic--page 14 specifically--to find out what happened to that book.))

"A book? Let me think back for a minute..." Jay said, then began trying to recall the events that had happened in the inn a few days ago. Jay remembers seeing the book in Ronan's room without Ronan there, but did the brothers take it? 'We wouldn't normally take stuff that doesn't belong to us, but if we did, it might be...' Jay thought, then quickly pulled out his PDA and selected Inventory. He then pushed Quest Items and, lo and behold, there it was; the Summoning Book. They recognized the rotating item image. That was indeed the book. The description of the item reads, "A leather-bound book believed to contain summoning rituals and descriptions of various summonable creatures. Found in Ronan's room at the Tepple Inn." He touched the image of the book and then Retrieve. The image of the book rose off the top of the screen, and the same book suddenly flew out of Jay's Inventory case. He reached over and caught it, examining its real form. "Is this it?" he asked Ronan, holding it out so Ronan could see it better. "We found it sitting in your otherwise-empty room and... kinda took it on impulse, thinking you had forgotten it and that it would be safer with us than sitting in an open room unprotected," Jay explained honestly, "We vowed to give it back to you the first chance we got, so... here it is." They knew there wouldn't be a reward for this "quest", but knowing the book was back in its rightful owner's(?) hands was rewarding enough.

Verity's eyes lingered on the book Jay was holding out. She was all too aware of how close she was to Jay, and found herself automatically calculating what speeds she would need to snatch it and which direction to head off in in order not to be caught. Shaking her head slightly, she smiled to herself and tore her eyes from the book in order to inspect the brothers now that she was closer.

Jay appeared to be the one closest to her age, and Jeremy looked slightly older. Their bracelets immediately caught Verity's eye - something so shiny and valuable-looking couldn't escape her notice. She giggled to herself, drawing her eyes away from those as well. Really, she couldn't look at anything without figuring out how to steal it. It was apparently a perk of her job choice. If she stole anything, the vampire would kill her. That much she was sure of.

Recognising the book, Zoey nodded. She had almost forgotten about that book, and it was probably for the best that it was returned to Ronan. He had been the one in charge of it, so it should still be as such. ...She couldn't help but be curious about it, however.

Seyicer eyed the book, "Later, when you're not looking at it, do you mind if I have a friend read that? She's a summoner, you see." HE said,
He looked around at the theif, eying the book, but decided not to say anything... The vampire would take care of her...

((Welcome, angel_of_nature... as of DoMaya, sorry for the lack of noticing your character after it left, I just didn't know how to respond, I mean, without breaking what I was doing before. We can always find you on another place, though, or maybe you could end up meeting angel_of_nature's or Rarikou's characters... eventually the paths would cross. And for Slezak, sorry, I had to make you go over those things again... ))

Ronan's eyes gleamed when he saw the book materialize in Jay's hands and he showed it to him. The cover was definitely the same, and the size, the color... he ended up remembering so many details because he felt the need of throwing the blame of his lost powers on something, and it ended up on the book itself. A turmoil of thoughts took over Ronan's mind, remembering what had happened before with more vivid colors than before.

"Yes, this is it..." Ronan responded, and then Jay the brothers had vowed to give it back to him, and the thought touched his heart. Thinking he was the center of an action taken by another person... that concept was very foreign to him. It had been ever since he knew himself. This rendered Ronan motionless for some time, but seeing how Verity looked at the book, he thought it would be better if he actually took the book already. He reached for it.

"Thank you very much. This book is... the last present of an NPC I knew from long ago in Tepple. And one thing I thought it'd get me closer to omnimastery. I'll tell you the whole story later." He bowed respectfully twice, one for each brother. "I wish I had something to repay your kindness... but the only thing I have now is my sword..." And then he heard Seyicer's comment, which drew his attention.

"Oh, a friend? Well, sure, but I feel I don't know you enough yet... Seyicer, right? Why don't you say a bit about yourself? Then I'll decide." He looked back at the brothers, thinking he should have something to give them in return, but he could find nothing when he searched his own inventory. He sighed, angry at his own poorness. Some things didn't change, even in virtual games... I guess I should give back the book, not any longer as a quest item, but as an item they could use... they are mages, they would be far more likely to use this to their fullest...

Joshua noticed Ronan's turmoil in the fact that he couldn't repay the brothers for their kindness. "Mate, this may be a shot in the dark, but if I recall correctly, and it has been a while, but isn't it possible for aligned magic users to teach each other samples of their skills?" Joshua put a hand to his chin, trying to remember the specifics. "Hmm, I think it's a little like duo-classing, or job swapping, or something to that effect. I dunno, the closest I got to it was learning whip proficiency from a warrior NPC who had it in for wilder-beasts. Granted I probably can't wield a real weapon worth a damn, but I can use magical equipment that is flavored towards the warrior class." A sudden burst of information then hit him after the explanation, as he recalled reading the manual before he got stuck. "I think it works best when the job you have somewhat coincides with another person's job. Like, Warriors and Thieves, or Thieves and Rouges...or Summoners and Mages!" Joshua looked over excitingly at the two brothers. "Depending on your school of magic, and your proficiencies, I think it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for you two to call, at the very least, familiars to help you out. Along with the fact you'd have them, your job would also become something a bit more valued among the world. Like a Spell-Warrior, or a Ranger, or a Battle-Mage." Joshua's enthusiasm towards this subject may have something to do with the fact that he wanted to multi-class from the minute he started the game, so he quickly picked up some minor warrior skills. "Ronan, you could probably teach those two how to summon, or maybe even let them have a look at that book if you want to repay them. What do you guys think?"

Does anyone need me? Anybody?? thought Mika to himself. He looked at everyone, talking amongst themselves, organising plans, and everything to that extent. My, my. I should have bought this game months earlier.

He took a seat on a bench and went began organising his inventory. This'll keep me alive while I think of something to do.

Delphi yawned, waking up to the sound of bird-like creatures singing their morning hymn. Opening the tree which she had slept in, she stepped out and walked to the river, giving herself an early-morning shower. "Good morning," she greeted the nearby creatures through telepathy, each responding with various grunts, chirps and stomps. Smiling, she headed out to continue finding (or at least trying to find) a nearby town.

While walking downstream, Delphi heard a strange howl from afar. It was not of an animal she had encountered thus far, yet she knew it was in pain. Trying to hear more, she closed her eyes and focused, but all of a sudden, she heard choking, then silence. She then noticed other voices, but they faded away. "Could they be the cause of that creature's suffering?" she thought, and determined to find them, she continued downstream.

Arrriving in a small town, Delphi found a wooden post nearby. A scroll was pinned to it, and the image of a fox-like creature was in the center, a reward scribbled down beneath. "This might be that creature I heard by the river...and its hunters should be nearby," she assured herself. Hearing a person approach, she hid herself in the pole, waiting to see if this was their culprit.

Ronan's eyes lit with hope when he heard Joshua's comments on the multi-classing system, but it was but a gleam of sorrow rather than pleasure. "I'd like to teach them what I could. I worked very hard to have an ice allignment after first getting to this place, but... it was taken away from me. And this book... is the reason why it happened." Ronan was now facing the ground, unable to look into the eyes of anyone else out of shame. Shame that something like that would ever have happened to him, and that he maybe would never be as strong as he would like people to believe he was. But he wasn't going to lie for something like that, as much as he was compelled to.

"I admit I COULD summon a monster after reading the book for the first time, but I don't think it would be anything Jay and Jeremy wouldn't be able to do after doing just the same..." He said, solemn, all too aware that the sentence before it was more destructive to himself than constructive at all to the brothers' self-esteem, so he should try to phrase things better next time. "The least I could do for you, though, is teach the little I know. Or let you have the book for further study, no longer as a quest item, but as a regular item. At least I know you deserve it more than me, for such an honorable character you both have." He smiled at them at the last sentence, as sincerely as he could. Though he admitted it would be weird to reward them with the very thing they returned to him, he couldn't see anything else he could do for them... and he wouldn't let their kindness go unpaid if he could help it.

As he raised his head, he noticed by the corner of the eye that Mika was now busy doing something with his inventory, maybe out of... boredom? He wished he could say something to him, but nothing came to his mind at the time...

Ligus was just outside the town, he decided fighting them head on would be dangerous so he was going to redirect them to the forest.

At least in the forest the GM's wont notice us as much. He got off the horse and let it return to it's master.
He put his right hand up and kept his left paralell to his waist, The Hitman style.

He walked in the forest, waiting for the bandits to pass him before he attacked.

((Go ahead and join, Peter. Just remember to work yourself into the story in a couple of posts rather than jumping in out of nowhere. Other than that, have fun!))

"Yeah, you like the bracelets Verity?" Jay asked jokingly noticing Verity was staring at the brothers' bracelets, "You'd pretty much have to cut our hands off to get to them." Indeed, the bracelets were quite tightly-gripped to the brothers' arms, but they came off easily when the brothers wished them to. Ronan was still mulling over what he could give the brothers in return for giving back the book.
Jeremy stated firmly, "Listen, Ronan, true friends do things for each other without expecting repayment. Look at it this way: you would have probably gotten the book back in any case. We just took steps to ensure you would definitely get it back." He scratched his chin, thinking what else to add. He began again, "Also, all we ever wanted by entering this game is to meet new people and make friends. Whatever we earn here ability-wise is just a bonus to us, even if we can't take it out of this world with us," Jeremy's eyes moved around to the ones that he knew there. Spotting Mika organizing his inventory on a bench, he called out to him, "Hey Mika! We don't want you to feel left out. Something will probably happen soon to change the scene anyway--it always does."
While Jeremy was talking to Mika, Jay turned to Ronan again and said, "Look straight into my eyes, Ronan. Don't let any doubts obscure what I am about to say." He took a deep breath, "Whatever it takes, you WILL get all your abilities back. You just need to believe in it and it can happen." Averting his gaze, Jay wanted to lighten the mood a bit and he said with a laugh, "Man, what a cheesy line, huh? However, this is the type of place where I would be willing to bet it could work."
Thank you for reading. I hope you have a wonderful day.
100% pure Joy.
Excellent source of puns.

{{I can meet up with you, peter. and Seyicer and Mariah will help you out, if you so wish.}}
Ah, there you are." Seyicer said, as Mariah walked up. She tossed a bag of coins to him, "That man was really grateful.. he payed us double of what he offered...the pelt sold nicely."

Seyicer nodded," Perfect. We now have travelling funds... Oh, this is the friend I was telling you about. Her name is MAriah. HE has a summoning book." He explained

"...really?" Mariah said, her eyes liting up.

"Anyway, we're both travellers, been stuck here for around 3 months nows I'm an Aquamancer, and she's a summoner. He also think of ourselves as mark hnters: We hunt beasts that gives a town any trouble... and they gives us funds for our travels...

"How about I give a demonstration? I won't attack, so just relax." MAriah said, touching the ground, "I'll call our ride."

"Ruler! The great beast rides into the shadows of the sun, the death god plays with the moon spirits on the ocean breeze. A thousand spears fly at the castle, masking the halls in despair. One thousand birds fly toward the allys of justice, carrying the king with a holy name to the land of hope.."

In the sunlight, a medium sized beast flew ahead, and landed on the ground. "Meet our ride: Sunfire the Wyvern.

Seyicer petted him "I should explain something. THe longer the chant, the stronger beast. Mariah can summon weak beasts with a whistle or clap. This Wyvern is the next stage up from that."

((Poor angel_of_nature, her character (Delphi) expected to meet Mariah before she got here. Well, but if Mariah was delivering the fox's body, maybe Delphi just followed and saw what she had done? Oh, I don't know...))

Ronan smiled in the midst of Jeremy's statement. The brothers wouldn't fully understand how necessary he felt that he should repay them. Of course, they couldn't: so far, Ronan hadn't shared his "real-life" story with any but one person in that game. But he understood what the Slezak brothers were talking about. It didn't amaze him any less that they really seemed to consider him a friend, though, despite the little time they had shared together. But Ronan expected to amend that and travel together with that group, doing the best he could. Upon Jay's last, pretty serious statement, Ronan pulled out a somewhat serious face too, but ended up chuckling when Jay himself commented on how cheesy his own sentence was. "But yeah, you are right. I should never give up hope so easily. Alright, I'll believe what you say: I'll definitely have my power and abilities back. Thanks, both of you." He ended, right before Mariah had approached the group.

Ronan turned to the demon couple, and Seyicer introduced Mariah to the group. He couldn't help but notice how well the two of them went together, with all that black clothing, similar size and both having long black hair. Though it was true that they carried different weapons, and Mariah wore constranting white boots. "Mark hunters? Hum, that looks like an interesting occupation: you must be pretty strong to take on monsters with enough strength to cause turmoil in the cities, though." Ronan heard a bit more, then waited for Mariah to complete what sounded like a summoning chant, used for summoning higher level creatures, as he read in the book. Soon enough, a wyvern descended, causing Ronan to walk back a little when he was unsure of where it would land. "Wow, that is a very nice wyvern." He commented honestly, looking from some angles to the creature. It's scales shone brightly reflecting the sunlight, and he looked tamed and obedient enough, yet Ronan didn't dare to approach too much, content with simple observation. Then Seyicer remarked something else, and Ronan nodded in agreement. "So I heard. The strongest monsters require some immense chants. But even the weaker monster would need at least their names to be called... if Mariah can summon without that, she must be really experienced, then..." Ronan wondered, for a moment, what interested those two hardened hunters about them, aside from Mariah's recent shown interested for the book in Ronan's possession.

Joshua looked at the wyvern and the two demons, after a few months of almost exclusively fighting things of the sort he was a little shifty when he saw another demon, but he was interested when their occupation came up. "Mark hunters eh? Interesting occupation. Good money found in it too, considering a lot of town NPCs never bothered to learn to fight well, but they usually have a ton of cash on them." He studied the dragon like creature before him, and as he did Joshua scratched his scruffy chin. "I myself, prefer fighting the undead and hellspawn; usually more interesting things from them then pelts and the like, and minor phantoms are almost as common as beasts in some cases." He walked around the wyvern, and got a little closer to it as he continued. "Whatever pays for the swords and armor I guess, it's all preference in this world really." As Joshua got closer to the demons and their wyvern he conjured some sanctifying wind in his hand. 'Old habits die hard I suppose, but these guys don't seem to mean harm.' "So!" Joshua said loudly, in a much more friendly tone of voice. "I think it's time we got moving everybody, standing around here is great, but the last thing I thought was a boar, the last thing I ate was some wilder-beast and water, and I think I know a place we can go just north of here that can offer some interesting things to do. It's got some of the more expensive shops, but as you all know that means the payout there is probably great." He pulled out the "Wanderer's way-pointer" a compass he picked up after just ambling around. The compass was a standard thing, but it shimmered a bit. He used the small wind he summoned to carry the compass in front of him. "Unless anyone has any better ideas, I say we go that way. I personally don't care which way we go." He looked over to Mariah and the group with the compass floating next to him, the wind whisping quietly. "In fact, considering you're mark hunters you probably know a few places where people need some help."

"Hah, I appriciate you caring, Jeremy." smiled Mika, getting off the bench, and approaching the group. "It's just... how shall I say it... Spare-Arm Syndrome. The syndrome in which one feels unnessesary to the mission at the present time. I mean, I wasn't here before, so I don't what happened, you know? Also, I'm kinda shy, here and, shall I say, on Earth. Melodramatic, I know." laughed Mika.

"I'm fine, don't worry. I'll just tag along like usual." he said, scratching the back of his head, a goofy, uncertain smile on his face.

"Well, Mariah? Did you see any bill's posted?" Seyicer asked.

"There might have been one as I was walking away... looked like a bear of some sort. I think it was something about a demon bear terrorizing the rivers, poisioning the fish."

Seyicer nodded," Okay, then. You take Sunfire and claim the bill. I'll meet you there."

Mariah shook her head, "You go. I'm tired. A chase, running back in forth..."

Seyicer nodded, and hopped on Sunfire. "Very well. I'll be back soon."

With a kick, they were off.

Mariah sat down "Mark Hunting is tough, but we enjoy it. We get to travel, and test our skills... unless there is water nearby, in witch case Seyicer just drowns them... Summoning just came natrual in the short time I've been here, as well as my... other abilities...." MArk said, unsure of what all Seyicer told them. "It works out pretty well. Seyicer usually covers me if I use I long chant... YOu see, you don't actually need chants unless it's for a really high-level monster, as long as you have the enegry tocall it forth. Chanting just reduces the nessacary enegry to call it out. For example, I could call the strongest monster known, and If i used the full hour-and-a-half chant, I would only lose the minimal enegry... If, say, I stopped the chant half-way, I would lose tons of enegry, maybe die. It's a double edged sword, since even halfway, since said chant would leave me defenseless while I prepare it..."

Mariah surveyed the crowd, ". IT's nice to meet you all."

"yeah, some local people reported seeing a Hero Class Demon here."

{{EDIT: I'll have Mariah stay there, so Delphi can meet up with her... sorry for not noticing that earlier.}}

Seyyicer walked into a hunt office and looked around at the list of bills.

Under a most wanted list was a picture of a demon Seyicer was sure he had seen before" Hero CLass Demon: Wanted for Theft, among other things."

Seyicer took the notice down, along with the bear one Mariah mentioned earlier, and returned.

"Huh?" Mariah siad, when he returned, "TWO bills?"
"Meh, sue me. Oh that's right, there's no courts in this world!" Seyicer joked.
Seyicer showed them the bills, "Do any of these look good to you?"

((Whoops, missed the fact that you sold the pelt, too. :payne: I'll edit my post so that I didn't actually see the fox, but heard it die.))

After a while, Delphi went out of the pole and took down the notice. She then proceeded to explore the village, looking for the hunters. Noticing a small group outside an inn, she decided to approach, suspecting that one of them might be one of the persons she was looking for. "Is anyone here responsible for this fox's death?" she telepathized suddenly, and thought embarrassedly, "I'm never good with these kinds of conversations. Guess I'll have to introduce myself first."

"I'm Delphi Arden, a priestess," she thought aloud. "Sorry about that sudden outburst, I'm a bit overprotective of animals, and I heard this fox being hunted down a while back."

Mariah stared at the woman who approached, "That would be us." She said, both aloud and thought. "You are speaking of the kitsune fox, correct?"

Seyicer stared at her, "A telepath?" He asked, hiding behind a mental sheilld he created, "We are the ones that killed it, correct? Why is it that you asked?"

Delphi nodded, as the fox hunters stepped forward. "I see," she thought in reply. "It's nothing, I'm just a bit...well, overprotective of all creatures, since I've been taking care of them for so long that I've become attached to all of them, though some still have a sort of tension when I approached." Then she looked at the second hunters face, and saw a sort of questioning look from him. "Yes, I'm a telepath," she addressed him with a subtle smile. "A glitch in the game, I suppose, but it helps me understand the feelings of others, and know the best way to heal them."

Ronan was compelled to follow Joshua, imagining that a place to rest while the group searched for what to do would be nice: his legs were still aching, even more than before, and the fatigue hadn't vanished entirely even after all the water he drank. However, he was interested in hearing Mariah's remarks, and kept track of what she said, making a mental note of it. Notes from a more experienced character are always good to have.

Seyicer quickly came back, with two bills. Ronan was approaching the bills for closer inspection (not that he would be able to do much for the group regarding that, at the level he was), but it was then a female voice invaded his head. It was so sudden it made him get a grip of his sword instantly. Obviously, it wouldn't help against telephathy, but it remembered him all to well of another person. But then the voice introduced herself, and he let his hand loose again, as it didn't seem to be as threatening as before. Following Seyicer's gaze, he could see a unique looking nymph maintaining some distance from the group. So it was her. God... it almost gave me a heart attack. I thought it was... His mind stopped to hear the exchange of words between the demons and her. As he had no part on that conversation, though, he just stared intenly at the nymph. He didn't intend to, but maybe part of him was still in alert towards her.
