My mom still gets upset when I even TALK to this girl but I never cared)

Thats messed up...

Then again, I have told some really awful lies that I cannot take back... And I didn't even think about what I was doing when I was doing it.

@DTD-Well, to tell the truth, if I knew you and the whole situation, I'd be a bit upset too. I mean, sure, it's your choice and I wouldn't get involved in it, but still...I'd be a bit confused as to why you would want to talk to someone that lies like that in the first place. But it's your life...so it's none of my buisness.

*chuckles* I just dont like to live in the past you know? Its kinda sad if you cant live for today instead of yesterday (sounds insensitive to some people I know) but for some reason it gives me this dark satisfaction that old flames go to the point of begging for me back. (usually because their lives are crap and they need at least one good thing in life) I got an example of this one too. I had an online gf about a yr or 2 ago and after I broke up we went our seperate ways. Well when I talked to again she said that if I would take her back shed immediately would get a divorce. If you can guess what I replied Ill give you guys a cookie.

EDIT: And about the saying...maybes its because ive been hurt so bad that I act a little cold at times im sorry if I offend anyone.

Also I have no clue why that girl lied about being raped...maybe she couldnt bare hurting me...maybe she always kept secrets from me. I also found out that she got pregnant somehow during our relationship and if id found out that *does a kicking motion* she wouldve been out in the cold.

Ditto, although I am waiting to meet the special someone. I feel I don't need to have a girlfriend, but I still can't help thinking how great it would be to share the uphills and downhills of life with someone else. And how great it would be to meet someone interesting and get to know her better trying to find out if there was a connection. I don't really think it should happen as soon as possible, but I hope it would happen someday. After all, I do have many many years to live (at least I hope I do have).

I think I pretty much told everything there is to tell.... mostly because Dully here ain't got no experience in the dating world! But I'm all up for listening (reading) about other people's experiences if they don't mind sharing. I won't judge anyone, since we are all pretty much in the same boat!

I think you should ask someone who has experience in this department. I apologize for not being able to help out, but I haven't had any experience within the dating world yet Kyo! I hope that someone on here will be able to answer your question though! This forum is full of awesome people after all! If not, I could just give them the death glare! lol.

I think it depends on the relative ages of the people involved to be honest. There's younger and there's younger, and the gap means less as you get older, if you see what I mean.

I think that she meant that she was asking for advice from any girl, but straight girls in particular might help a bit more.
@IAFF-Sure. I might be able to help.

I have nothing against that. I'm finding someone two years younger than me interesting. When I was younger, I thought I should get married to someone born in the same year than me, but now I have realised that age makes no difference in relationships.

@Nego/Kyo Kusanagi-I agree with you, Nego. I've once heard age described as "just a number", and I think that's true. Especially in relationships. I've had crushes that have been...17 years older than me. Why, just now, I have a crush that's...18 years older than me. But my point is that age really doesn't matter. What matters more is the actual feelings.
(Although I don't know if I'm just pointing out my point for my sake...O_o)

Well, I'm kinda tempted to <_< flirt >_> (more than usual, if ya know what I'm getting at ;D ) with this girl, but I'm so confused if she's "available" or not...

I was wondering, as straight women, would you be creeped out by a girl (someone who isn't particulary attractive/cool. YEAH I KNOW.... Ya gonna say "omg stop being so emo & pessimistic"... <_<'' ) flirting with you?

@IAFF-...Looks like this is a bit out of my field. Sorry I can't really help...all I can really contribute is that it might be better to try flirting very, very subtly. And start to get a little stronger. In small increments, though...if the woman in question seems to get put off a bit by it, backing off might be a good option. It's better to be only friends than not be anything at all. In my opinion, anyways...

Well it never has up until now. I concluded early on that I was pretty damm straight and have yet to change my mind on that but not everyone is that certain (I've been alive longer than a lot of youse)!

I used to go to gay clubs a lot at one time because it was the only place to hang out regularly with some of my friends so obviously being hit on was a perfectly reasonable thing to happen. If one of my friends didn't get in first to tell the other party I was straight then I just handled it myself and made it clear I didn't swing that way asap to avoid embarrassment on either side! If I was sure that the other party was perfectly clear on that point then I did sometimes flirt in fun, just like I have done with guys that I'm not interested in pursuing a relationship with. I wouldn't flirt for fun if I thought there was any expectation or misunderstanding though.

I've never been "creeped out" by anyone being interested in me, whatever gender. It's bloody flattering, frankly.

Hah hah! Yes straight women do compliment each other. My colleague told me I looked gorgeous today and I can tell you she's completely straight :)

I have no idea about lesbian dramas - I had my fill of real life ones back in the day. No-one fights dirtier than an angry lesbian, in my observation ;)

My cousin is around twenties & also single because of workload.... but that didn't stop feelings to arise anyway.

XD I know women compliment each other without it meaning "I fancy you". It's just, I thought it consisted of things like "I like your jumper" , and that sorta thing. Not "You're looking good"... And maybe followed by a look up & down....

It probably depends on the women concerned to be honest. I wouldn't hesitate to tell my colleague she looked hawt. I would probably not say it to a stranger however :)
